ICICI Bank paints the consumer's door
Mr. Sarwan Kumar Baldwa (Tel. No.[protected] applied for a loan of
Rs.7, 00, 000 from ICICI Bank. But, the bank disbursed a loan of Rs.
6, 72, 896 instead of Rs. 7, 00, 000. ICICI collected 12 EMI cheques
with calculations based on Rs. 7, 00, 000. ICICI Bank's hired goons
(so called collection agents) with one Mr. Kiran jadhav
visited the residence of Mr. Sarwan Kumar Baldwa (Tel. No.[protected]
at 10 PM on[protected] to collect some amount (which was never due),
and scribbled nonsense with paint on his front door.
He complained to ICRPC when non of the bank officers
responded to his complaint. ICRPC came down heavily
on the Chairman of ICICI and made them polish the
main door of his residence which was spoiled by Mr.
Kiran Jadhav a representative of ICICI.

ICICI Bank: Excess EMI refund

A notice dated 6-8-2004 was sent to the ICICI Bank
by ICRPC, seeking refund of excess EMI deducted
by the bank from the consumer Mr. Arun Pratap
chattopadhyay (Tel. No.:[protected].
The bank credited the amount of Rs. 21, 474=00
and sent confirmation letter to the consumer
on[protected].

ICICI Bank: Debit card fee refund

A notice dated[protected] was sent
to the ICICI Bank by ICRPC,
seeking refund of fee deducted
by the bank for debit card,
which is supposed to be free service.
The bank reversed the yearly fee
charges on[protected].

ICICI bank- lost cheque from ATM collection box

Mr. Vivek Srivastava of Navi Mumbai
(Tel. No.:[protected]) complained
that ICICI lost his cheque deposited
in the collection box, but levied
late payment charges to his credit
card account. ICRPC wrote to the higher
authorities and the bank reversed the
charges levied.

ICICI Bank: Did not credit the deposited cheque amount for 4 months

Dr. kamalavenkatesh of Aurangabad (Tel: [protected]) deposited a
cheque no. 907116 drawn on Canara Bank on 3-8-2005 to be credited
to his account. When it did not get credited till[protected]
(four months) despite repeated complaints to the bank, he approached
ICRPC. Immediate action by ICRPC set things right within a week,
and the amount was credited on[protected] by ICICI Bank.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance: Gave policy after denial

Dr. Narendra Pancholi of Gaziabad ([protected])
applied for insurance policy with ICICI Lombard
General Insurance Co. Ltd. The company deducted
Rs. 25, 402 from consumer's account and said that
they cannot give policy to him as he is a doctor !
When ICRPC asked if the company has lost its senses,
the consumer immediately got his policy on[protected].

ICICI Prulife: Issues insurance policy

Ms. Savitha Nayak had bought insurance policy
from ICICI Prulife. The company did not giVe the
policy despite taking all the payments. The company
did not respond to the consumers letters and e-mails.
ICRPC wrote to the company head and the consumer
got the policy on[protected].

ICICI Bank - Refunds full amount with interest

Mrs. Ruchira Tripathi of Mumbai ([protected])
applied for opening a joint savings account
on 7-2-2007 in ICICI Backbay Reclamation Branch,
Churchgate.and deposited Rs. 52, 000=00. The bank
did not activate the account for many months,
did not refund the money back, and did not even
respond to consumers letters. When ICRPC served
a notice upon the Chairman of ICICI Bank,
Ms Anuradha Sharma of ICICI Bank and two colleagues
personally visited the consumer on[protected] and
paid refund of Rs 5200 to the consumer along with
compensation of Rs 1050 as token compensation for
the incidental expenses and FDR interest @ 4.5%
for 69 days.

I am a good old customer of ICICI bank. Of course ICICI bank resources are abundant. But the quality of staff is very poor.

Staff in general imagine ICICI Bank is a recreation club to spend their time for a time pause.

Generally staffs approach is not pleasing and requires more ethics. No responsibility or attentive to customer's request.

Once I asked some question related to ICICI debit card to the Customer care. After a long time, bank staff phoned me to open demat account as I requested customer care. In the customer care they never go through customers' emails/ requests and problems. But any how they will reply anything not related to customers' request.

Once I fed up with Customer care's non response to me for a genuine issue. So, I titled "Sleeping Customer Care" and reminded about my emails. After a very long time, they woke up and replied something.

On March 2009, I deposited one dollar cheque for $105 for collection or realising. I think they missed that cheque. I addressed customer care. As usual they replied with their usual irresponsibile evasive non committed responses. Cheque is an important instrument for banks. But for ICICI bank staffs -it is a piece of paper. This is the fate of so many ICICI bank customers.

Of course, there may be very few staffs who are more sincere, dedicated, duty bound. But major chunk of staff are lazy, useless, indifferent. They always be in " cell phone chatting" talking rubbish, some times emitting poor English.

Indeed it is the need of the hour, ICICI bank Top Officials should think it over and concentrate on the poor quality of their staff. They should be given good training how to approach a customer with pleasing manners with quality of best service potentials. It this issue is not resolved, ICICI bank will be destoyed only by its poor quality staffs,

Sir, I had taken a home loan, account no LBKKN[protected]from icici home finance company in the year of2004, I had made payments till 2009 February, but due to recent recession, I had lost my job in maxnewyork life and due to non availability of funds, I had suffered a lot and could not be able to repay my emi in time. Now I got an opportunity in sbi life insurance as an agency manager at a package of 3.5lakhs per anum, now I had told the bank that I shall clear all the outstanding emis by taking a personal loan from a private financier, mean while iam getting harassed by icici collection executives, agency, and collection manager also, they are saying like they will lock my home, they had forcibly taken a letter of commitment and cheque from me and now they are threatening me of ni138, I had applied for loan and by month end I have every chance of getting that, I shall clear all dues by month end, I want to reinstate my loan account in a healthy way, I wish to continue the same good relation with the bank, because mine is genuine case and I agree that I had failed to repay, because of jobless, but now iam committing myself to reinstate that loan account as I got a good job all I need is a bit of breathing space, pls do help me, today evening again that collection manager will come to my house, he is shouting at my ladies, pls try to understand my prob and I need a small mail copy stating that bank has given me some time to repay to show that fellow, pls do help me sir. I beg to say that I (ChhaviSrivastava) have a saving account in your bank from May 2005. My Account No. is
[protected]. In the financial year[protected] your bank mistakenly cut Rs. 2781/- from my account for maitenance
charges but my account opened on zero balance facility and before this I never facing any problem by your side.
When I enquired about my money your bank do the needful action and revert back my in my account.
But on 16/4/10 your bank again do the same mistake and cut Rs. 827/- as maintenance chrges for the month of Jan,
Feb, Mar 2010. Pls help in this matter and refund my money back and make sure that this mistake will do not make
by your bank in future.

Sir, if your bank don't do any positive action in this matter, I will go to the consumer forum and do the needful action against
your bank. Pls help me otherwise I m not responsible for the further proceedings which is done by consumer forum.

Dear Sir,

I had approached ICRPC for preparation of Case papers and paid Rs 5000/- towards the case but they have made mistakes while preparation of the papers and hence the cases are getting dismissed. They have not made HSBC as party to the present Complaint which is separate and juristic persons within the meaning of section 2(1)(m) of CPA 1986 and have impleded the CEO and Director in their personal capacity who are not the service providers. Also they are not ready to justify if this is not their mistake.
