[Resolved] Idea Cellular Ltd — No resolution to network problem since last 1.5 months | |
Hello, I live in a societly called Atul Nagar situated at Warje, Pune - 411052. My phone number is [protected]. I have been a customer for the last 5 years and have been living the location for the last 3 years. Till about mid of January the Idea network connection in my society was pretty good. Then suddenly one fine day the quality of the network reception dropped and I started experiencing call drops, very poor voice quality and extremely slow GPRS connection. I have raised numerous complaints with regarding the poor network in my society. The dates have been mentioned below when I raised a complaint with Idea cellular Ltd. 1. 28/01/2010 2. 01/02/2010 3. 02/02/2010 4. 05/02/2010 5. 13/02/2010 6. 18/02/2010 7. 20/02/2010 8. 23/02/2010 9. 01/03/2010 In January they told me that there is a temporary network problem which will get solved. Then their network engineer called me and told that it has been solved and I should check my network connection now. But when I checked after reaching home there was no improvement in the services. Since then Idea customer care always raises a compliant and most of the times the complaint is closed, without even talking to me, by their network engineers saying that there is no ongoing issue in the area. Then I have to raise another complaint. This process has been going on for more than 1.5 months and now finally I have to knock the doors of the consumer court for a solution on this issue. The only reason I am not changing my service provider is because I will have to lose my mobile number which is with numerous people and websites and my business cards as well. Idea Cellular Ltd — Unable to call on the below mentioned telephone nos.
Dear Sir/Madam,I am unable to call on the below mentioned telephone nos and this problem has been intimated several times to IDEA Cellular. At first I had complined regarding this on 8th jan 2010 and they replied that it will be resolved on 11 the jan, later they escalated this to 18 jan 2010 and now today when I spoke to the customer care they said that it will be resolved till 21st jan.
Later I spoke to their regional centre for assistance in this reagrd and they said that I will have to contact the service provider at the other end. I request you to kindly look into it as I am quiet dis-satisfied with their answer and moreover the service provider at the other end won't entertain me as I am not using/paying for their services and instead I presume that these matters should be looked after and resolved by IDEA cellular.
Moreover the response that I got from the regional centre was quiet annoying and so i am lodging this complaint so that you will come to my rescue.
Following are the nos-
[protected]- Frequently gets disconnected-This is of SBI helpline.
[protected]- Error message is that I should check the no- This is of SBI helpline.
[protected] I can not make calls on this no. while I am in roaming, but I can make calls when I am in my home network- This belongs to reliance netconnect.
Besides this I was also facing problem in getting connected on the landline no[protected]. I took almost a two months for IDEA to resolve this.
I think this is the problem which most of the customer must be facing and is basicaly due to the rivalary between the different mobile service providers. So I would request you to kindly look into it.

Idea — idea mobile is not connected since last six days
i have a postpaid idea connection and my phone no is [protected], i purchased on 19 jan 2010. i submitted my all documents. however my phone connection has been blocked and not connected despite repeated complaints. This is not an issue impacting single Idea user. Atul Nagar is a society of more then 1000 flats and there are so many Idea users. And all are suffering. Idea on their part just passing time with or without one or another reason, like govt approval, technical issues, etc. Their replies are beyond desirable thoughts. Can it take months?? I was told by Idea that they need minimum 3 days to put a tower. Can it take more then 3 months???
Idea must immediately restore the network or else should be ready to make good all the losses suffered by Atul Nagar residents (Idea users) during the period of NO/very limited connectivity.

It's become really painful now to cope-up with the very poor network signal and hence frequent call drops. I've sent the latest mail to Idea on 5th March 10, but haven't got any reply so far. I've two idea numbers at home but none of them could be used effectively.

I too facing same problem and got same experience from Idea Cellular which Aliabbas had. As there are a lot of Idea cellular users are living in Atul Nagar and Garden City company doesn't taking any action towrds solve this network problem. I have three idea cellular numbers but no use of service at Atul Nagar as there is absolutely no network. I came to know that PMC removed their illegal mobile towers in this area and punished idea for same.
Finally I was thinking to disconnect all the Idea number and took better service provoider which have better coverage at highway (home) area. Maybe Vodafone, Tata Indicom, AirTel or let me know if there is any other one which have better coverage.
I am getting ridge of this idea service, even though I was Idea customer since last 8 years :(

my mobile is not showing any network signal. I'm not able to receive any call & not able to dial.

Idea — No Coverage Area
I have a RELIGARE corparate postpaid connection.i Didnot get proper signal in Noida 125 office location .the network Signal strnth is verry low i get only 1 signal bar on 4th floor.and other my culiges have also idea connection and they are also facing same issue.but the some persone is using Vodafone or Airtel they full signal on the same location are happy with his connction. i am using my no.[protected] from 6 years with idea so plz do somthing for me other wise will switch my no.idea to vodafoneThanks & Regards

MOBILE NETWORK — lose number
Hai my name is ABDUL HAMED i am in QATAR now .i was using an idea number - [protected], its validity ends on 28-October 2011. in order to extend validity i recharged it before ending date . but now it is using another person.then i contact to customer care and they reply me that the procedure to give this no: to another person will take 150 days , but in this case it is given to another person before this dead line time( JAN 1st week 2012).i am coming back to kerala next month i want to make sure that i will never lost this number becoze all my contacts depends upon this number.now this sim is with me and i have recharged this number for two years but now when any one calling for me another person is handling, i dont want to continue this any way i want to use this number from next month.
any way no more talks with this i need my number back

Idea Cellular Limited — illegal Charges for one month for Unlimited GPRS
I am P Anjani Prabhakar having post paid connection[protected]. At the time of taking this connection Dated 24th Nov 2009, executive of the company told that there is facility o[censored]nlimited GPRS for just Rs.150 with request to costumer care calling by costumer. On 27th Nov 2009 i called to costumer care to activate the unlimited GPRS but the representative told this facility already activated on your no. But no one inform me that Rs. 150 will be charged as on flat basis. i.e. if you activate the facilities on 24th then you have to pay for the full month. When i got the bill for November month they charged Rs.150 for one month for unlimited GPRS. I called costumer care they are telling that my executive allready inform you.so i cant give you waiver for the same. So please help me what should i do.
