[Resolved]  Indian Railway / IRCTC Booking — Booking not permitted. Try Some other Train/Class

Hello,
I was trying to book my ticket from http://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/planner.do?BV_SessionID=@@...⇄
& was getting a message saying "booking not permitted, Try some other train or class"
I started to book my ticket @ 8:00 am & i couldn't get that ticket till 8:15. now all tickets for that train have been sold. while i logged in through my id art_1802 on IRCTC saw availability as 134 seats then in next 15 mins it was showing not available. within those 15 mins i already tried for 8-10 times but continuously got that error. now can somebody explain why is that error poping up? eventhough we have logged in on time & tickets are available; why are we stopped from purchasing Ticket? whats the best way to purchase tatkal tickets through IRCTC or it is just the brokers who are allowed to take this tickets through IRCTC.

I too was faced with the same problem. Hope authorities take relevant action in this regard.

within 2 minutes after going thru tatkal tickets are already on waitlist 79!!! how is this possible. Are touts in plenty or are travel agents blocking tickets?

suggest we revert back to 5 days advance booking.

I also faced the same problem.

Today I tried to book a ticket via Internet banking It shows the message "Please try some other Train/Class/Date." But when i checked on the availability I found it is RAC 30 .So I rang to the information counter and and asked whether that particular scheduled train has canceled or not they replied and ensured that the train will be running but the message it is a error for short time. I have to wait and see .
