Irctc — Tickets not received

In spite of repeated requests, no action has been taken by you. It is unfortunate that India being a developing country the customers still have to face problems which leads them to financial losses.

I have booked the tickets through IRCTC bearing PNR no. [protected], [protected], [protected] booked on 5/9/2008 which were supposed to be delivered through the reputed Overnite Express courier. Unfortunately no initiative has been taken on either part neither from IRCTC nor from Overnite Express to get the tickets delivered to me.

Since my date of travel is 13/09/2008 I was forced to buy another ticket through reservation Counter. Now, since I have not yet received the tickets neither can I cancel the tickets and receive the refund. Incase, my tickets don't reach me by 2 PM of 12/09/08 I would be losing 25% of my ticket amount for no reasons of mine.

There has been assurance from the agents on phone that they will deliver my tickets by today 11/09/2008 but it wasn't done still.

The phone numbers [protected] or [protected] provided to me by the courier company through an email didn't work either. The phone numbers[protected] &[protected] were always busy but for 1 one time when i got lucky.

I would request the authority to take note of such poor administration and save me from financial implications.

I completely agree with the above situation.

This is not the sole case of this kind with Overnite Express. I had booked a ticket to Kolkata for the Durga Pooja, which was never delivered. I reside in an apartment in Indiranagar and the adress is very easy to locate. Even a blind can find the house easily. But the delivery staffs of Overnite Express cudnt locate the place.

may be the guy is new to the locality, but my mobile # was very clearly printed on the ticket. God knows what exactly prevented him from giving me a ring.

I was later told by of the delivery staffs that Overnite Express does not reimburse them mobile charges. But dont understand why the [censored] should a customer suffer if Overnite Express doesnt have sufficient funds to run the business.

Not even an email notification, and after calling the local office of Overnite Express near Geo Hotel, Lalbagh Road, i was told tht the shipment would be delivered by 5PM that day - after the tkt was booked online abt 7days ago. But to add to the dilemma, i was tld that the ticket was misdelivered by the Overnite Express delivery staff. After much of blasting, the ticket was finally traced and i had to personally collect it from their [censored]ing office.

God knows what under the table connection IRCTC has with Overnite Express. if they dont have any, or if Lalu is not filling his pockets, it high time that IRCTC kicks on the butt of Overnite Express...
