1. I HAD APPLIED FOR 225 SHARES OF RELIANCE POWER IPO ONLINE (APPLICATION NO[protected] THROUGH KOTAKSECURITIES.COM. I WAS ALLOTED 17 SHARES .I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET RS 18565.00 AS REFUND ON 08 FEBRUARY 2008. TILL DATE I HAVENT GOT THE MONEY BACK. 2. ON CONTACTING THE KARVY ON PHONE I WAS NOT ENTERTAINED AND I WAS TOLD TO LODGE THE COMPLAINT THROUGH EMAIL. THE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN SELF AND KARVY TOOK PLACE AS UNDER: (A) MY MAIL(DATED 29 APR 08) : THE REFUND HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. (B) REPLY FROM KARVY(DT 30 APR 08): THE REFUND HAS BEEN SENT TO YOUR BANK AND CREDITED IN YOUR A/C THROUGH ECS ON 08FEB 08 (C) MY MAIL(01 MAY 08): I HAVE CONTACTED MY BANK, THE AMOUNT HAS NOT BEEN CREDITED YET) (D) REPLY FROM KARVY(05 MAY 08): THE ECS CREDIT HAS BEEN REJECTED AND AMOUNT IN PHYSICAL REFUND HAS BEEN DESPATCHED IN 2ND WEEK OF FEBRUARY 08 . YOU WILL RECEIVE THE SAME SHORTLY. (E) MY MAIL( 05 MAY 08): THE REFUND SENT IN FEB 08 HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED EVEN AFTER 3 MONTHS .PLZ CHECK THE SAME AGAIN. MY Demat A/c no. is IN[protected][protected] of ICICI direct. I have been alloted 17 shares of Reliance power IPO vide application no. 11269763 and transaction ID 4928946 dt 17.01.08. I have applied on line in my above said account. An amount of Rs. 96750 was deposited for 225 shares @ rs. 230. Till date I have not received refund of the balnce amount either in my demat a/c or through any cheque. Kindly look into the materr and resolve.

My father firmly believes that you guys can help me out. I had applied for Reliance Power IPO in January 2008. I wasn't allotted any shares and hence was supposed to get a refund of my money from Karvy. It's June 2009 now and I am still awaiting the refund for my money from Karvy. I have emailed them on a lot of occasions and always get the same reply that it's under process and I would get the refund soon. Refer to the chain of emails exchanged below.
I am really tired of following it up with Karvy and am not able to see light at the end of the tunnel. I would really appreciate if you may help in this regard.

My complaint is, I have 40 share of Reliance Petrolem Ltd in my demat a/c before its merger with RIL, Post merger I alloted 2 shares of RIL in my demat for 32 RPL shares, then what was happened to balance 8 shares of RPL, the values of these 8 shares in not credited to my A/c till date.
Pls look into this matter and help me to get the credit of these 8 share of RPL.

INSTEAD OF MY REPEATED REMINDER YOU ARE NOT STOPPING TO SEND ME THE SMS REGARDING TIPS ON BUYING STOCKS
Karvy is the worst managed company. Particularly the one in Hyderabad. If you send letters they usually don't receive! By chance if they get it they process it in snail phase. You can't get them on phone unless you are ready to try several times and several minutes on hold. Customer complaints are ignored.
CAMS in Chennai is thousand times better. Excellent service. Don't buy mutual funds serviced by Karvy.

1. i applied for mutual fund of Rs. 20000 through D-Mat & the filled up form was personally handed over to sh. Vivek Willium, employee of Karvy Bilaspur Office in the 1st week of December'2010 with the promise that receipt will be available to me within a week. It is regretted to point out till today (28.01.11), this has not been available, despite reminder to him about dozen times. no credit has also been shown in the LATEST STATEMENT. Action taken against Sh. Willium be communicated at my email [protected]@gmail.com
