[Resolved]  LG India — Non-response to complaint booked

Recently I purchased one LG Split AC. As the Upward/Downward and Sideways Swing unit is not functioning, I have file a complaint on 4.5.2009, with their helpline and I was given Complaint No. S9C50404128 dated 4.5.2009. On 13.5.2009, I have sent emails to their Service Head and Regional Head in Andhra Pradesh, requesting their intervention. Nobody from LG attended to my complaint so far. Will this wake up somebody at LG even now?

L.G Electronics — Cheating of coustomer by making false promise

I bought one LG LCD TV on Oct.25th from "VGP Ltd, Banerghatta Road, Bangalore." At the time of purchase I was told that as a part of the promotional scheme, I will get a free installation of BIG TV along with three month free subscription. Retailer told me that I'll get the connection within 10 days. But when I did not get it even after three weeks then I started doing followups with him, and he started giving some or the other reasons. Finally on Dec. 10th I got one scratch card from the retailer who told me contact the mentioned nos. and get my BIG TV installed. When I calledup at that number, I was told that the scheme has already expired on Nov.17th.
When I took it up again with the retailer, he said I need to tale it up with the company as he is not a party in this scheme and gave me the mobile no. of LG electronics Marketing Manager (Mr. Abhishek - [protected]). Since then I have called up Mr. Abhishek several times but everytime his standard response was, 'he has communicated the matter to head office, and only they can take the final call'.
Finally I loggedup my complain on the company's web site (complaint No.:[protected], but there is no response from this company which claims to be a market leader in customer care. I just want to know, why government should not take necessary action against these companies which consistently cheat the consumer by making fake promises just to push their product in the market?
I recently purchase 1 ton window AC model no 3GW2BF1 On 9/ 04/2009. After repeated complaints, there was no one to attend it. The shopkeeper tels that he cant help it out. So please take my matter seriously and take necessary action please

I made a blunder in my life on[protected] by purchasing LG brand freeze from J.B. Enterprise, Surat (Blossam Templation colour) vide Invoice No.2711. After starting the freeze cooling was not upto the mark and not a single piece of ice was prepared. Then after contacting your service people they came to house thrice and checked the freeze. But could not repaired it. On[protected] they have taken back freeze at your Sai Service Centre by Job No.HF7ACH2000221 and still today lying there. After doing necessary repairing/replacement of parts they try to deliver defected piece which I have not accepted. After that they realise and found that we will replace this one by new piece and taken back all other accessories, boxes, trays etc. from house. They have told me that replace will take about 1 week as necessary formalities to be completed from Head office. Meanwhile I requested to change the colour and deliver the pink tango colour freeze which was accepted by your dealer as well as service centre. After vigorous follow up with dealer & service centre after 20 days I visited your service centre on[protected] and told to deliver the pink tango piece as committed by you. But I regret to inform you that they try to deliver the same defected piece which I have not accepted. Even service centre people has not opened the box and to start the freeze also. Since half of the summer season elapsed (55 days) we are without cool water & ice and everyday I used to purchase ice from the market. Under the abovementioned circumstances, I request you to advise your dealer/service centre people to deliver new pink tango piece with 48 hours. Otherwise I compared to file appropriate legal action against you at your cost and risk. I also see and canvass that no other my family, friends, relative will make mistake to purchase LG Brand product as poorest customer service rendering to customer.

Perhaps customers harrasment is your MOTTO.

I bought a LG TV from OMEGA ELECTRONICS at Borivali (west) in May 2007. However, a couple of weeks ago, there was a sudden loss of picture while the sound remaining intact. We initially called up the LG service team from Kurar centre after which a technician came to examine the TV. After taking the grid overnight for a checkup, he returned saying that the picture tube was at fault and had got conked off. We explained to him saying that it was a bit of surprise as there was no fault from our side with regards to electric fluctuancy or improper handling. His reason was the unit was at fault itself as the pin that connects picture tube or something like that (Excuse my technical know how) had got conked off. Moresever he was of the reason that something like this might happen once in a case of few hundred odd TV'S and its a technical error. He went on describe the the price for picture tube replacement.

I had vehemently denied paying a signal penny for the same and asked him to give me the contact details of his superior. Since then, I AM PLAYING A CLASSIC GAME OF "PASS THE BUCK AROUND". I spoke with Mr. Mahavir (Service Incharge ) at the Kurar centre who spoke of his inabilty to do anything and gave me the contact numbers of a few LG officials. Couldnt get through any of them and finally managed to speak with MR HARISH SURI (GM-SERVICE). who also has told me of his inability to take a decision about replacing my picture tube free of cost and asked me to speak with higher corporate authorites.

Now my case is that for no fault of mine, I am here stranded with a Branded TV that is just empty box. LG'S TAG LINE IS LIFE'S GOOD .But is it how you make CUSTOMER'S LIFE GOOD.

If this is an unit fault why should I bear the brunt of it even if my warranty is off. Its hardly been less than two years and I dont expect such sort of inferior product quality from LG. Mr MAHAVIR and Mr SURI even had the guts to say such things happen with technical products within even the minimalistic of timeframe. NOW MY QUESTION TO THEM IS "ARE THEY WORKING FOR LG or SOME B GRADE CHINESE PRODUCT COMPANY OF WHOSE PRODUCT BEARS NOT EVEN A MINIMAL EXPECTED WORKING LIFE.

I dont think so my expectations of the product running fault free for atleast a decent amount of years is of a very high nature . Small problems notwithstanding, I really dont expect a major issue like picture tube conking off. Although I have been speaking with Mr SURI the same hasnt yielded any substantial results .After speaking with some higher authority, he came back saying that company could offer a discount of 15 -20% of the replacement cost. ( Funny thing is, I had myself said to him earlier, that is what the company will do to pacify me even if he spoke with higher authority). What if I pay and the picture tube again gets conked off within the next couple of months or even less... AM SURE MY PAYMENT STORY WILL CONTINUE THEN.

Anyways, to cut a long story short, I AM IN NO MOOD TO ACCEPT ANY DISCOUNT AND WONT REST UNTIL MY PICTURE TUBE IS REPLACED IN PROPER WORKING CONDITION. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT A BRAND LIKE LG DOESNT UPHOLD QUALITY PROMISES AND ITS PRODUCT SHOULD HAVE SUCH A SHORT LIFE PERIOD.

PARDON MY LANGUAGE BUT BEFORE I LOSE MY BRAINS OUT PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL OR I WILL BRING THE TV AND DUMP IT IN ONE OF YOUR CORPORATE OFFICES IN FRONT OF ONE OF THE BOSSES. I WILL MAKE SURE SOMEBODY IS THERE TO CAPTURE THE MOMENT AND SHOWCASE IT TO OTHER POTENTIAL LG CUSTOMERS. AND I AM REALLY SERIOUS IN WALKING THE TALK IF THE NEED ARISES. As a well travel professional around the world and working in a senior professional capacity, I will rather prefer to show this reckless customer service attitude of LG to the public rather than having a 15%-20% favour.

ITS UPTO LG TO DECIDE WHATS BENEFICIAL FOR THEM- TO REPLACE ONE PICTURE TUBE OF AN HARRASED CUSTOMER OR LOSE OUT ON A POTENTIAL 10 CUSTOMERS WHO INTEND TO BUY LG PRODUCTS. MORE THAN A MATTER OF[protected] RUPEES WORTH OF A PICTURE TUBE, IT HAS BECOME MORE OF A MATTER OF MY RIGHTS AND STOP THIS "chalta hain "attitude as not many customers create a furore over these things which COMPANIES TAKE FOR GRANTED.

Whirlpool AC (1.5 Ton) — Horible customer service AC(Kanpur,UP)

This is to inform you that i had horrendous time with whirlpool customer care and this the worst ever customer service i have ever received for any product i can think off. I have been chasing the customer care for more than 7 days now to fix the issue for my A/c and there is absoutley no response. I am very furstrated and also planning to a lodge a complaint with consumer court India. Whirlpool can subtract one customer from their customer base because i would never buy any whirlpool product. i have a lg washing machine.the dryer door got a problem and i gave a complaint adout it to the near lg service centre from two months and they said that they will send a new dyer door but till date there is no response and we are calling them daily but they are not sending any technician.please help me to get my problem to be solved as soon as possible.

Because of some special graviences for us Mr.moulesh chhaya & girrison
planned to spoil our goodwill n started doing some notorious activities which resulted huge damage to lg's goodwill.No one will believe this but we have all proofs regarding that & it will be produced before H R Department and to CEO of the co.

Sir, as per tale talk service of the lg product customer as per attached sheet is not been attended. Also u will be surprise to know that complaints are closed by putting false note without attending.
Special plan is given to technicians by Mr.moulesh n Mr.girrison.

This email is to document my frustration towards such a pathetic service I have been experiencing from your company for the last 45 days across your 3 products which I had the misfortune of having bought. Over all the last 45 days, all my LG products - Fridge, Washing Machine and Plasma Television - have been encountering some problems.

Im copying your Senior Management hoping they will appreciate a customers feelings, understand a customer is important and may intervene. May be they wont also for lack of time. I have no idea.

This is just my way of trying my luck since thats what I have been doing with you in the last 45 days on account of the blunder I made in buying your product expecting a good service. Im not even sure if this mail would be read.

For whatever its worth !!

Contrary to all your claims of best service etc etc, I was made to call umpteen number of time to your helpline number and it took more than 3 days to a week to get your engineer visit and have a look at the problems. This too happened because I had to call in innumerable times to your help line center.

The latest of the never ending woes is on the Plasma television which Im undergoing trauma with your service centre engineers.

Let me narrate the sequence for your ease o[censored]nderstanding.

- I bought a 42 inch Frameless Plasma in Nov 2008. Thats roughly 8 months now. It was bought in Gurgaon where Im staying.
- On 13th July 2009, the TV went blank and I had placed a request with your service center. This is despite my previous distressing experience on Washing Machine few days back. Thats because not that I had hope but for lack of any other option.
- As usual and per the telecalling script provided, they gave a standard reply - " Engineer would call in 2 hours"
- Many 2 Hours passed by but the engineer call never happened.
- Again, a call was made to your service centre. After lot of arguements, they confirmed an engineer would call by 12 noon.
- As usual, 12 noon passed but no call came. Finally, a call came from an engineer around 1 PM who said he would come over by 2:30 PM
- No surprise, he never turned up while we are waiting postponing all our activities to accomodate and meet this important gentleman ( its a different matter that this gentleman chose not to keep up the time committed )
- After repeated attempts to reach ( atleast 5 times ), he landed up around 7 PM.
- Checked the TV and said mother board of the TV is corrupt. He has to get the parts and would report into replace it by 11 AM today ( 14th July 2009)

A pause. First am shocked to hear Mother board of the TV having gone corrupt within 8 months of purchase. I get all reasons such as voltage, power etc and it can happen once in a while bla bla bla but this time it involves no cost to me as its covered by a guarantee. But as a customer am deeply worried of having bought and encountering such an issue within 8 months of purchase.

If there is any value to a customer you have, I would rather prefer my TV to be replaced with another new product. But I suppose thats too much to expect from your organisation who cares a damn about a customer as is evident from my world class service experience provided above.

Now, the woes continues.

- Today, I call the engineer on why he didnt turn up at 11 as committed. He gives me the phone number of another engineer ( supposedly his supervisor - Mr Diwakar )
- As a poor human, I take the pain of calling the supervisor Mr Diwakar, who told it would take 2 days to fix the problem as the replacement product has to come from Noida.
- People travel between Noida and Gurgaon many times a day. He was referring to Noida as if its Norway since am unable to understand why it should take 2 days to fix it.
- Aside, when I asked him what the part that would take 2 days, he is unaware of the problem in my TV and asked me to speak to his subordinate. ( Ph no of Subordinate - [protected], Ph no of Supervisor, Mr Diwakar - [protected] )
- Despite my repeated enquiries and requests for a faster resolution, he was quite clear. It would take 2 days.
- Having bought the product ( which goes down in 8 months ), I have no choice but to surrender.

I have no choice but to wait.

1) Is it such a big deal to expect the TV to be replaced with a mother board going down in 8 months of purchase ?
2) Is it such a big deal to expect some prompt and courteous service ?
3) Is it such a big deal to expect the engineer/service centres to keep up the time they say ?
4) Is it such a big deal to expect the engineer to call back a customer who has been trying to reach and speak ?

If the answer to any of the question is YES, do let me know !

I made a big mistake purchasing LG refrigerator on 05.02.2009 from Ganpati Electronics Bill number 4326. Within a year, the lower cooling system of refrigerator is not working properly; I have made a complaint to LG service center number [protected] and 39010909. After I have registered complaint (complaint number N9C[protected], there is not a single engineer who has visited, yet. After three days of launch, I have again called service center on same numbers to get update, but I haven’t got single satisfactory answers from service department, it looks me like they just play with customer and make them more frustrated so they hesitate to call them again.

Second time call, I got second complaint ID NP[protected], but not a single improvement from LG. I had made third call after second complaint, service department gave two local contact number ([protected]; [protected]) both numbers were wrong number. I made a fourth call to LG service department, they provided me another number i.e. [protected] and mentioned that this is the local in-charge to deal with your complaint. As usual this number was in switch-off mode.

After all this, I made a fifth call in same LG service department. They provided me another number [protected]. I call this number. This number was again in switch off mode.

This is really bad customer service I have ever come across. After, I called customer service informed that number of the mobile which you provided is under working condition. I asked simple question to service department, are you providing us right number or what? I got answer from them that they provide their colleagues number and tell them to switch off. So actually LG is really stupid company I have come across.

They just play with customer and this is a legal issue need to represent at consumer court that LG is cheating with Indian customers.

LG Washing Machine — haven't answered my call since 19th july

i have registered a complaint with lg customer care about repair for my washing machine. the complaint was registered on 19th july 2009 and my complaint number is W9C71900568. Its been 9 days since they have answered our call. however Lg claims to send an engineer within 24hours of the call. We even visited the LG service center in rutupark thane west. they sent an engineer and they claim that the part that has been damaged needs to be ordered. this was on 26th july 2009. on 27th july 2009 when i contacted them they say that the part has to be ordered and it will take 2 more days. So in all its been 9 days (still counting) and the problem remains unsolved. Due to broken machine we have to wash them by hand and as all o[censored]s are working in this family, its very difficult to cope up with the routine.please help.we have registered three complaints with LG till now.
Bought LG refrigerator model No GL 368DMQ on 04 Jul. On 07 Jul Engineer from company visited to check the product and declared lower door defective. Complaint lodged on 08 Jul 09. Complaint No N9C 70802276 dated 08 Jul 09. Sorry to mention that representatives attending the phone calls at service centres feel that they are doing an AHSAAN on us and most of the time they do not behave properly. Only assurance whenever asked for but no positive response till date from the company.

We purchased a LG Ultra Slim TV (29") on date 21/ 05 /2009.
After purchasing it with in a week we find a defect on this. We called the LG engineers and they can't repair it and told us to replace this. Today is 22 /09 /2009. We still not get any replacement for the defective piece. Can you please provide any solution for this? or we throw this TV in a dustbin.

respected sir, my cell number is [protected] and i want my call history of 3 weeks please. due to some problem my whole saved numbers in phone is erased. that's why i want my call history of 3 weeks on my cell number [protected].

LG — 6 times problem in less than a year

Dear Sir,

I have purhased my double door refrigerator last year from a dealer in Allahabad.

Since i have purchased above refrigerator the problem started.

In last one year company 6 times different types of problem has occured and service engineers has to come to resovle the problem at free of cost as it was under warranty of 1 year.

I have requested the service enginners & customer care officials to replace my refrigerator as there must be some manufacturing defect in my model.

As it was not possible that a new refrigerator has to be reapired 6 times within a span of less than 1 year.

After the expiry of warranty period i have to bear the cost of above refrigerator and it is sure that it will not work properly as clear from its history / track record of above problem.

I again request you to kinldy take up the matter seriously.

I am Prabhakumar.S, right now writing this from Calicut, Kerala, I am using LG as my electronic partner for a long time, I am using LG LCD TV, LG DVD, LG land phone (Reliance), LG Mobile (CDMA) and i m so happy with LG products,

But recently our company given corporate GSM conection for us, at that time with out any second thinking i choose LG as my handset provider, unfortunately my decision were wrong, i brought LG handset from UNIVERCELL Mavoor road, Calicut on 1st May 2009, Model no :KP 320, I am so interested with its features, it was so good & easy to use, but on October 14th 2009 (6th month ) phone became dead, at that time i were out of my home town, for Diwali holidays, i were spent those days with out any communication device, it was really painful days for me, (My monthly bill approx: 3000/-)

When i came back to my home town I given phone to service centre (Domain info system, Calicut ), I waited there for almost 2hrs and they rectified my phone, actually i were entered all my contact number in phone and i lost every thing, even those service centre guys didnt ask me and even they not bothered about my lost contact numbers, after i entered each number again in my phone, but after 5 days phone again became dead, i went to the service centre again between my busy office schedule, again i waited their almost half an hour, they given a spare phone and ask me to come after 2 days, after 2 days i got my phone back, it were really painful that, again i lost all contact numbers,

I entered all my contact number again in phone, and now the phone is not showing any missed call entry, also its wrongly mentioning incoming/ out going call history

Now i am in real trouble,

I am having a good experience with LG, keeping this in mind, I m requesting you to give refund, i lost trust with LG mobile phone and now i am not interested to go to the service centre again

Please process the refund at the earliest

LG — DEALER/RETAIL NOT BOTHERED ABOUT 3 FREE SERVICE

LG split airconditionor was bought 4 months back ,we bought in A/C mart chennai,they were not bothered to do free service they need to do,3 free services to be p[rovided by the company/dealer/retailer.

It is dissapointing that they were not bothered after their sales.

It has not been expected from a brand like LG
I have purchased the LG washing machine 6.0 kg on 12.11.09 from Mundial Radio Panaji Goa. Till today nobody has come for installation of the same. I have given the complain to the complain center Pune and my complain number ID is C[protected].
If this is the situation during the installation then what will be the condition if the same come for repair during the warranty period.
I fill that i have made a mistake by purchasing the same.
I will wait for another 2 days if the person does not come for installation then i will return the same back to the Dealer and i will prefer IFB
