I had seen an ad in Deccan Herald regarding online tutoring job offer by company named 'Online tutors'. I called them on [protected] and spoke to Nandini, She said that she will send me a message with website url (www.tutorqueue.com) and password to take online test for for selection and once selected, and next day got an email with details of fee of Rs.4500/-.Next day one Justin (hr.[protected]@tutorqueue.com) from a USA phone number called-up saying you have cleared the online test and he also sent me and offer letter and to contact Nandini 'online tutors' to finish formalities. When called Nandini on [protected] they asked me to transfer money to HDFC account number [protected],Branch:Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkota (These details were sent by SMS from mobile no. [protected]).I had transferred the money accordingly. Later Nandini sent sms saying that I should contact Rahul Ghosh ([protected]) for briefing session Rahul asked to transfer additional amount of Rs.2992/- towards activation fee so that employers will call for interview. After transferring the money to same HDFC account number, next day when I called Rahul he said there is a major mistake he asked to transfer additional Rs.2817/-. With the trust that we had got an offer letter we paid that amount and called Rahul, he said he will get back in touch in 2-3 days which he never did. I again called Rahul when I said my name he disconnected the call and he is been doing that all the time I call, and also the same with Nandini. yes i have been cheated too..i gave my test in april. got a call next day and an offer letter too. i deposited the entire fees- the activation as well as the tutoring kit.. i have been calling that cheat rehan for one month. and he says that i will get the call very soon. plz lets do something..

SUBJECTS:
The tutoring companies offer tutoring in a wide variety of basic subjects like English Physics Chemistry Biology Mathematics Computer Science General Science Economics History and Geography. Additionally they also offer specialized tutoring for Business Studies Accounts and other Management level subjects.
Please note that a tutor has to first start tutoring with any basic subject before he/she can opt for special subjects. A tutor can opt for a maximum of two subjects in the beginning.
GRADES:
Classes are referred to as Grades in the US. Tutoring is available for students from Grade 3 to Grade 12. A tutor can opt to teach any grade according to his choice. He/she can teach multiple grades too.
TIME:
The best part about E-tutoring is its flexibility of choosing the time. Tutoring is conducted 24x7 365 days a year. Hence a tutor can choose his/her own hours of availability. A tutor is free to change his/her time of tutoring at any time. Hence the entire process in completely flexible.
SHIFT:
A tutor can either opt for Semi-part time (1 hour per day) Part time (2 hours per day) or Full time (4 hours per day). A tutor can either work for 5 days per week or can work only during the weekends (2 days per week). The choice of shift timings and weekly offs are completely dependent on the tutor.
CURRICULUM:
It is very important to know that tutoring a US student is much easier than tutoring an Indian student. Why? The answer is because of the curriculum that they follow in the US. The curriculum followed in the US is much easier than what is followed here in India. To give you an understanding: the curriculum of a Grade 6 student in India is almost equivalent to the curriculum of a Grade 8 student in the US.
Note: The curriculum is provided to all the tutors by the Company and it will be available with them throughout their employment period.
QUALIFICATION:
A person must be a graduate in order to apply for the position of an Online Tutor. However somebody who is presently pursuing final year of graduation can also apply. The other elements required for an Online Tutor are a passion for teaching and excellent subject knowledge.
SALARY:
A tutor gets his/her salary on the last working day of each month. The salary is credited directly to the tutor's salary account. The salary account for each tutor is opened by the Company in Standard Chartered Bank.
Note: Salary for Semi-Part time is 8000 INR; for Part time is 16000 INR; for Full time is 32000 INR. The salary for the weekend classes is 8000 INR.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
A tutor would need the following devices in order to do E-tutoring:
1. Computer / Laptop / I-pad[protected] A tutor can also teach from a cyber cafe if this facility is absent at home.
2. Stable Internet connection (128 kbps minimum speed).
3. Digital Pen and Pad ----- It is a device by which a tutor can teach online. A student can view what a tutor writes on the pad using the pen on a real time basis. Hence this is a must for E-tutoring.
4. Headset with microphone ------ A good quality headset with microphone is required for conducting the audio tutoring sessions.
Note: All the sessions are not audio based. Most of the sessions are done via chat. Very few sessions are actually audio based.
5. Webcam[protected] A must for E-tutoring sessions. It is a device by which a tutor can see his/her student and vice versa.
6. Tutoring software -------- A tutor needs to install this software on his/her computer in order to conduct the tutoring sessions.
Note: The equipments mentioned from No. 3 to No. 6 (called the Tutoring kit) are entirely provided by the Company. Also note that a tutor can only use gadgets provided to them by the company and not their own existing equipments.
SELECTION PROCESS:
A tutor has to first appear for an Online Test in order to start the application process. One has to successfully clear the Test in order to be eligible for an Online Tutor.
Note: Online Test is subject based ------ objective type multiple choice question pattern. The duration of the test is half an hour.
Note: A tutor needs only a Computer with net connection for the Online Test. Headset with microphone is not required for the test.
GROWTH:
There are tremendous growth opportunities in the domain of E-tutoring. An E-tutor can move to the following verticals: Senior E-tutor Content Developer Interviewer HR Trainer to name a few. One can most definitely pursue this as a full time career. However anybody can take up E-tutoring as a Part time option. The growth in this sector happens quickly as compared to the other domains.
Note: Please remember that tutoring has to be done with proper care and attention.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
The process starts with a half an hour Online Test. As mentioned above the selection will only be confirmed for those tutors who successfully clear their Online Test. If a tutor fails to qualify the Online Test for one Company then he/she can attempt the Test with another Company. The pass score is 50%.
The entire process is done Online. Hence a tutor does not have to travel anywhere during the entire process. The test training and the tutoring is completely done Online (either from the tutor's residence or from a cyber cafe).
TUTORING KIT FEE (REFUNDABLE):
Please note that Online Tutors do not charge any Processing / Training / Recruitment fee from any of the tutors.
However a tutor has to pay the tutoring kit fee which is totally refundable with the first month salary.
The fee has to be paid once he/she receives Test clearance intimation from the Company.
Now the question is why does a tutor need to pay the Tutoring Kit fee?
Since the entire tutoring kit is provided to the tutors by the Company before the training the kit fee ensures that a tutor does not leave the organization before completing one month of employment. In the event of a tutor leaving the organization before the completion of one month of tutoring the fee is not refunded to the tutor.
However the tutoring kit fee as mentioned above is completely refundable if a tutor completes at least one month of tutoring with the Company. This fee is credited to the tutor's salary account with his/her first month salary.
How much is the Tutoring kit fee?

The Company provides with a detailed training program for all the selected tutors. The training is done for six days 2 hours each day. A tutor is free to choose his/her own desired days and hours of training.
The training includes: process based training how to tutor how to interact how to use the gadgets how to apply for leaves to name a few. In a nutshell six days training covers all the aspects of E-tutoring in a detailed manner.
The Certification is done after the training program. The Certificate that a tutor receives is Globally Recognized.
Please note that the salary starts right from the training period.

I deposited 2992 and 2817 and after that nothing happened. And then after all this I saw this page. If I would have found this page before I would not have deposited the money. But now I thought maybe by posting all this details atleast I can save other people doing same mistake which I did. Plus if anyone is ready to take action against this fraud I am ready to support them not just for the money I lost but for justice and for saving other people.

Later he gave a call telling that we got late in depositing the money so we need to pay the late fee of Rs. 1650 .
After paying all the money, He's neither replying to my messages nor receiving my phone calls.
We read the article a bit late otherwise my money could be safe . I regret about this & want to have my money back as we are not financially sound.
So, we kindly request not to ditch people on this basis.

The same thing happened to me the only difference was that the bank was State Bank of India, Regent Estate Branch Kolkata account no. :[protected] name of the guy was REHAN a very abusive character who got scared when I gave it back to him with equal measure.His scamster in arms with the American connection goes by the name of PATRICIA CABOT of gradesetters apparently based out of LA.Their ads regularly come out in the Times of India and t2 everyday.So all those who read this save your money.I got duped of 4775.BEWARE save yourselves and your money...
thank you all . my presence of mind saved me from being the prey of these fraudsters. i also contacted ONLINE TUTORS after seeing their advt. in HINDUSTAN TIMES. i was mailed the details and asked to contact online team to go for an online test. The same REHAN([protected]) smsed me the gradesetters.com address nd also the online test code. i went thru the website nd was impressed nd took the test which looked very genuine. the next day i got a call from the same PATRICIA CABOT from[protected] congratulating me on clearing the online test. she told me to contact rehan immediately. he also congratulated me and smsed me the company acc no for transfer of 4775/- during conversation i asked him wether my money would be safe or not. he got miffed with me and angrily disconnected the call. till this point i was not suspicious and i litterally called him back to say sorry. however i smelled the rat that how can an executive throw such tantrums on general queries?. i thought this chapter is over as i offended rehan. but to my surprise i got the sms with same State Bank of India, Regent Estate Branch Kolkata account no. :[protected] . my intution told me sumthing is really fishy... so i just googled gradesetters and got to know about this fraud on ur page. A BIG THANKS TO U ALL AS I GOT SAVED JUST IN TIME. and i hope this msg will help save others too.

Exactly same happened to me also. I deposited 4775 in [protected]. and lost my money. they cheated me, and continuing to do so. now I m going to do FIR against REHAN. we shud make a post on facebook about it to aware the people.
Thank god .. god saved me from doing the same thing you people did. Had i not found this page i would have fallen into the same trap. I had seen the advertisement for online tutors in t2 ( the telegraph). Same person rehan ([protected]) and patricia( +[protected])were there in my case. I got an sms from rehan where to deposit the money . it was same as sudipa case.

I am not not going to pay any fees and not going to join their fraud company although patricia called twice to enquire about the money.

Thank god...God saved me also.The exact same thing happened to me also.I gave online test yesterday.Today I got a call from Patricia(same above number)informing me that I have cleared the test and to contact Rehan immediately.I contacted him, and he congratulated me and smsed me the bank details, it was IDBI bank, acc no:[protected], branch:bansdroni, kolkatta;ifsc code:IBKL0000291.I told him I will transfer money tommorrow.Before transferring money, I thought I will check with gradesetters site, their review, and thats when God showed me this site.Thank God.And thank you all for informing..

Even I got fooled, this must come to an end. How can a fraudster like him roam around free? And how are these banks allowing him to open so many accounts?
Thanks God I have seen these posts and saved my money because I was also getting the same call from same persons Patricia and Rehan and was asked to deposit Rs. 4775/ . Govt should take strong step against this company.

yes i have been cheated too..i gave my test in april. got a call next day and an offer letter too. i deposited the entire fees- the activation as well as the tutoring kit.. i have been calling that cheat rehan for one month. and he says that i will get the call very soon. plz lets do something..
