[Resolved]  Paramount Airways — Refund of cancellation charges

I have made a booking on 14th March 2010 for travel with my family from Bangalore to Chennai on 15th May 2010 by Paramount Airways (PNR No. 0M8KNL). But due to the unfortunate developments with their lessors, Paramount’s flights are grounded based on the verdict of DGCA, for most of the sectors including Bangalore – Chennai which are cancelled continuously.

I am in touch with Paramount’s customer care / reservations over the last one week for refund of fare for the four tickets booked by me. But the airlines had squarely refused that full refund is not possible and I have to forgo almost 50% of the fare as cancellation amount. Today I have the option of travelling in other airlines which may not be available after a few days.

Since I am booked in Paramount, I am losing out on the option of other airlines which provide confirmed competitive fares for the same date of travel. Any alternate last minute arrangements Paramount is going to make through other airlines will not help on seating arrangements / facilities since I will be travelling with my family.

I have put forth all these points and requesting for full refund from Paramount. But knowing fully well there is uncertainty in their operations are insisting that I need to forgo almost 50% of the fare as cancellation charges.

Please advise me on how I should get the full refund at the earliest so that I can take book through other alternates available.

Hi,

I already reserved flight from madurai to chennai on 4th july.But the service has cancelled by paramount itself and informed me that they will full refund my amount.But still now i havent receive my money back even i have called so many times and book complaints and sent email to them.My PNR no 0M9ITH.

My flight from Chennai to Madurai on Nov 2nd got cancelled and they delayed the processing of refund amount. I went to their Chennai headoffice (Alexander Square, Guindy) and shouted at the representative there, they then processed my refund in just 3 days and I have got my refund as DD.

You may not get your refund amount unless you go to their office directly and talk to manager and I was told that they merely have funds to refund their customer. They are refunding based on priority basis and you will get the priority only if you approach them directly.
