[Resolved]  Reliance Wimax — False committments about installation and waste of time

I also totally agree with the guys who complain about reliance wi max customer service. I also had applied for the wi max 1.5 months back and then vrushabh network(kandivali) in charge told me that I will get the connection within 7 days after applying. But then all excuses started…..Dish are not available, there is a diwali vacation…we will call you back etc etc. No one called me up a single time. I used to call almost twice- thrice a day on a day they used to promise installation. The in charge speaks up something and other employees in the same office use to say something else. The in-charge had promised me to give a connetion on a particular date after calling him so many times. He said we will “definitely” install on a particular day. So I even told in my office that i will be working from home for sometime and came to my hometown where they were suppose to install thinking that I will be able to work online once they install it. But then the in-charge goes on vacation without letting you know that installation can not be done and I was not able to do my office work. I guess these people do not understand the meaning of the word “definitely”. After following uo again for 15 days, the incharge had promised that he will send the person now as now Dishes are available. The whole day i kept on calling him and fianally end of the day he tells that, there is no frequnce in my area and installation can not be done :(( . Now when i asked for refund he tell that i will get it in 15 days and when called in office they tell that it requires 45 days. Thats great. Looks like these people have done special course of faking every time.
So people who are thinking about going for reliance wi max, please find out if any other service provider is available in your area.

reliance/Wimax Installation — complaint against new Installation

Hi,
I am Alim Shaikh. I have applied for new Wimax connection on 29/08/2008 and still connection status is pending.
According to policy, it should be installed within seven days but now its more than 20 days.
Day before yesterday, I spoke with the executive who came for completing the new connection formalities. He first said that I have to give them some more Money for Installation as the instrument which they are installing are short all over the country and hence for installing new connection they were expecting more unofficial charges.I spoke with customer executive at baner . She also said the same as we are purchasing it from pune corportion office.Later I didnt receive any call from the executive till date though I have called them several times.
Yesterday the height of limit was they said they are coming and hence i had to be at home I took leave from office and was waiting for the whole day for the executive but no one showed up.
I am really confused to take decission should I go for the new connection becuase the begining is in this way.

I would just like to add to the above comments...Reliance WiMax is one of the most 3rd grade company who just know to take the money from most o[censored]s unsuspecting customers. I got a reliance connection about 6 months back and after that they kept calling me to buy a wireless router from them. They kept calling me atleast 2 times a day before I could say yes to buy the router. They sent an engineer within an hour and got the router installed and took the money from me which was a whopping Rs. 4500!! and that too for an I- Ball wireless router which I heard for the 1st time. In just two days the router started giving me problems so I started calling them to get the problem rectified. They in turn told me to contact the customer services who then passed me over to the tech support guys who don't know anything and do not even understand plain hindi!! forget about English!!...they promised to send en engineer within 48 hours but no one came. After I called them to find out why the person did not turn up...to my shock they told me that the case was closed as the engineer had visited my premises and the issue was resolved!!!..I was so furious so they apologised and promised me to send another engineer within 24 hours and again the same thing happened!!..I was at a loss o[censored]nderstanding how they could do such a thing>???...and to top it all the customer service and the techincal support have no respect and regard to the customer and a very rude. The engineer finally came and said that the router was faulty which I already knew!!!...he then said that I would need to speak to the vendor which I refused to call as it was reliance who had provided me with the router and not the vendor. I have since been trying to contact them in vain!!..I call them atleast 3 times a day and they promise me to call me back but they don't. I have threatened them to go to consumer court and after that they have sent the engineer and got the router replaced!!...
