[Resolved]  Samsung / Nandilath G Mart — Second quality product delivered when brand new product is purchased

Be very careful when purchasing home appliances, especially from Nandilath G-Mart, Kerala (and also other dealers). Let me tell you my story.

2 months back[protected] i purchased SAMSUNG Fully Automatic top loading washing machine and SAMSUNG Grill type microwave oven from Nandilath G-MART, Trivandrum. When samsung technician came and unwrapped the washing machine, I saw scratches above the tub area. When asked about it to the technician, he said it may be packing issues (but i really think that its an old washing machine). I told him to replace the machine and he said they can replace the damaged parts alone in 3 days and if I want a brand new machine, I have to wait for 15 days. Since I needed washing machine urgently, I told them to replace the parts alone. (I think i was foolish to opt for that choice. I paid for the brand new washing machine - around 16000 - and I should have insisted to replace the machine that day itself).

Anyway, even after one month no one came and replaced the parts. I kept on calling Nandilath. And one day, they told me that the model I bought is no longer available and I should pay additional for a higher end model. The price difference as per Samsung site was only 400 but Nandilath told me to pay rs.1800 etc. When asked for reason, they told me that when I bought washing machine (in onam season), they gave em discount of around 1800 and they can no longer give me that discount.

I complained about it to Samsung customer care and they told me that their service engineer will contact me with in 3 days. Its been another 1 month since I complained to Samsung Customer care and there is no response from them too. Everytime they keep on telling me that their service engineer will call me. I am fed up now.

When microwave was installed, i heard that samsung usually provides a microwave start-up kit (which contains basic microwave utensils). I DID'T EVEN GET THAT. When asked about it, they told me its available only on higher models (my MW costs around 7500). I went to QRS and asked about the same microwave I have. They said Microwave startup kit is available with all models. So G-MART was cheating me on Microwave too????

One of my friend got Samsung washing machine from QRS, and even they delivered washing machine with scratches around the body. When told them about it, they replaced it with another one the SAME DAY itself.

Now I am planning to file a consumer case against nandilath g mart.

Anyway, we may be able to buy home appliances from these people only. Buy from them BUT BE VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY DONT CHEAT YOU WITH SECOND QUALITY PRODUCTS. There may be others who got better service from them, but this is the kind of service and support I got from these people.

samsung 40''lcd with home theater — not delivered the product and got the same installed

On discussion with mr. chandrakanth - regional sales officer of samsung, six of our friends collectively brought six nos 40'' samsung seris-4 lcd with 5.1 home theater and tata sky connection at 'tirumala music center' stall in life style exhibition at nizam grounds at hyderabad on 9th august 2008. we paid the total amount on spot leaving 35000 balance and asked them to deliver the material on the same day. though they accepted for the same later the dispatch guy called us and request for the delivery before 12pm on 10th aug, 2008, considering his request we accepted for the same. but unfortunately after many follow ups at last we got the delivery of 5nos. by 9pm that to with out home theaters and tata sky. till to day no one are responding either the TMC managers or mr.chandrakanth being company's(samsung) responsible employee handling the a.p. territory is least bother to even attend the phone call. now we are unable to know whom to complaint. all six o[censored]s are feeling pity on our selves for falling in the trap so foolishly.

Samsung — every year got a complaint &replacing new part

pls never suggested sumsung fridge ---my samsung refrigerator(i cool-double door) 4 1/2 year old from the begining to every year got a troble, change capacitor, time weel, switch, finally compressor failed, every year 1500rs and a song, finally for compressor failiure i want pay appox 2000rs to pay samsung even under a warrenty period.

the same way if i replaced my fridge in the first day it may benifited b/s all my food stuff, medicine thorne out due to a week for repair time

hi when ever i recharge my amount automatically reducted form my mobile plese deactivat all services other wise iam going to purchase another sim like huth .
I planned to purchase some products from Nandilath Gmart. But I wont buy from them after reading the article. Kerala is full of cheating businessmen and fraud shops.
The way they are handling customers are very disgusting. I totally agree to the complaint stated above. They should understand meaning of the word - 'Customer Care'

Dear Friends
Before buying a branded product from any retailer check the price, model name, features, accessories information from atleast 3-5 shops and also from the company website. This will help you to demand the lowest price from any dealer you like.

A shop which has a huge showroom or the one which gives many advertisements may not always be good. In my experience several small dealers give atleast 1000/- rupees less that what the bigger retailers do.

Before delivery make sure you are shown the model (not the demo piece but the model which you are being delivered) opened from the package and must be checked for scratches, working complaints in front of you. Some retailers often pack the demo piece which has been kept in the showroom for demonstration purpose and deliver it when new models arrive.

Nowadays direct company showrooms are available for brands like Sony, LG, etc. They offer more customer support.

Spending 2-3 hours more before shopping is better than wasting 2-3 weeks after it for service and filing complaints.

I dont think this is true. I have some good experiences...

i had went to new nandilath shop and bought a microwave oven in mega discount sale.After when we got the product it was an old samsung 14'' TV. We have called a customer regarding this issue. He told me he will sent senior engineers ti fix issues and they cant replace the item. at last we agreed and 2 persons came from the shop. They worked in our home with that tv for a week. we provide them food and accommodation also(full non veg stuff and AC room o[censored]s.).

Later after a week they have fixed all our issues. they were good engineers. they made that TV to a cooker. now we are very happy. We use that as a cooker to boil potatoes.

As I know Nandilath G Mart is One of the most reliable Home Appliances out-let. Going thr' the nature of complaint there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding between the customer and person who was concluding the deal. As I understand Nandilath do not make Samsung Machines. Therefore, it was ideal on the part of the customer to contact Samsung first, and get a reply in writing instead of making such negative coments
Yes i completely agree with this, because i had a similar experience with nandilath they cheated me to the most . I bought a sony LCD tv from there it cost about 80000 .Am a leading textile exporter and when my son came and saw the tv he said the cost i paid for this is much more than its current market price.Then i enquire the price of same thing in other shops and came to know that am cheated.The amount i gave them is almost 10000 more than the MRP of the product.
The price is not really the matter for me but the thing is that they cheated a man like me then whats the thing with ordinary people ...

I am also metted withthe same fate.I selected a Godrej eon beige colour fridge woth 14K+ on the 18th of Sept 09. I took the delevery on the 30th of sept at my flat.to my horror, Iralised that, Ihave been delivered with anold fridge with scratch marks, paint off and a holder for medecine fitted inside missing. Since then I have been calling the sales manager Mr.Sukesh and the shop staff, but nothing has happened.I have been told that, ther is no stock and that Godrej is not sending the stock. This group claims to be the largest electronic goods vendor, that's why we went to them. I think a small shop who keeps 10 fridges, will cater to your needs better than this.
Is their any consumer forum, or related gentlemen or lady who is reading these articles, or this is just filling up some space on ur PC??
For exchanging a mixie from their thrissur show room they have charged more than the ordinary price(philips mixe). The same mixie's price i asked at ernamkulam it was 300 less. For a higher price i have to give my old mixie also.
