Shop Your World — SHOPYOURWORLD.COM: DELAY IN REFUND / NON REFUND OF MONEY / FRAUD

I had placed an order with ShopYourWorld.com on the 6th of September and due to their pathetic service I was told that the shipment would be delayed and that I would incur additional charges in addition to the Fixed Landing Price of Rs.15,535 that was quoted to me prior to placing the order. Having already paid way more than what the products were worth, I was left with no other choice but to cancel my order. I even received an email from them on the 29th of September confirming the cancellation of my order. They had mentioned in their email that it would take about 12 to 15 business days to process my refund, which, apparently was not to be so. I had taken their word to be true and even deferred my monthly credit card payment for the said amount in the hope that I would receive the refund on time; again, that was not to be so. Citibank ended up charging me a 3.45% (41% annual) penalty on the said amount. I was utterly disappointed and worried due to the delay in the refund and started calling them up almost every other day to check on the status, but to no avail. Even though their customer support people are polite and courteous at the outset, they don't divulge any information about their accounts team if you want to escalate the issue and get in touch with those in-charge of the refunds. t has been over a month since I had cancelled my order and I am yet to receive the refund. I even posted on their Facebook fan page to express my displeasure, but my comments were promptly removed as I had expected. I have made umpteen calls to their customer support so far and I am told every time that they would make sure to process my refund. I am beginning to think that I may have been taken for a ride like the other complainants here.

I have recorded my last conversation with their customer support representative and would like to know if I could use that as evidence to file a complaint against them in the consumer forum. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT SHOP YOUR WORLD; THAT COMPANY IS A FRAUD!

Completely agree with you. Am in the same boat. Cancelled (due to a problem at THEIR end) on 01 Dec. Was promised refund in 12-15 days.
Today (21 Dec) I chased up with them. Was first told 31 Dec. Then told 15 Jan...

And when I ask for an escalation, person calls me (says he is a manager) who is rude and aggressive, says "We have done nothing wrong". According to him, even committing 12-15 days, then later saying 45 days is perfectly the right thing to do!!!

Am still waiting. Maybe they will refund. But what is definite is that I am never shopping there again.
And nobody should.
Totally Agreed. Same treatment received, the worst part is today is 65th day since the order is cancelled because they cannot deliver as promised. We should actually lodge an FIR for fraud and mis utilization of Funds.

I had a similar experience with this company. They are extremely unprofessional and fraudulent. I had place an order and waited for over a month before cancelling it because of delayed delivery. When I cancelled the order, now they won't pay the money back. They initially say 12-15 working days, and later on keep postponing this date according to their will. I am yet to get a refund on the order.

Companies like this should be exposed and if possible legal action taken against them. Spread the word, at least some people in the future will not get cheated.
Totally agree with all comments above it is a fraud company, my order has been delayed to about a month now, and now they are saying we cannot track the order, i would like to know if someone can help me with how can i take this forward for a legal action.
I had placed an order on July 19with Shop your world for the cat food vide order No. TIN0539274US on priority and the order was to be delivered within 7 days. But when I did not get the delivery even after a month and got rude answers on phone, I cancelled the order on Aug.21 and received mail that the refund will be made within 12-15 days. When ever called or contacted on live chat they give me fresh dates. the dates given for the refund was Sept.11, sept 15, sept 18, sept 24 then sept 25 and now sept.28th, & Oct 1st. I have made lot of calls and chats to resolve this matter in amicable manner but they are not cooperating and giving fresh dates every time. They use excuses like gateway problem or technical issues for delaying the matter. I too feel like other on this site that they are big cheats. They do not lift the phones and are rude, they do not answer emails, the chanting persons put you on hold for as long as 45 min and then they disconnect you. Jasmine is their floor manager who is highly un-proffessional and non co-operative. Those who are planning to place fresh order are to be careful. Pl. help.
