[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson — Faulty handset and PATHETIC CUSTOMER CARE

I bought a phone from Sony Ercisson, which was the biggest mistkae of my life. The phone stopped working within2 months.

The service center couldnot repair the phone for 4 months and guess the worst of all, the company is not willing to get me a new handset.

AND after all of this, the staff at customer care is pathetic, rude and doesnot know anything.

None of Sony Ericsson's contact numbers are available on their website, so that the customer can get in touch with SOny Ericsson people, instead of those iditic customer care reps.

i was purchased Sony Ericsson phone model K790i i was using the mobile past 1 year . last 2month my Mobil panel and body is damaged so i request panel and body from Sony Ericsson company but they are not responding to my phone so i need a body and panel, I will ready to provide the cost but i need very quick because i waiting for 2months

Myself Braj Bhushan. I purchage Sony Ericsson hanset Z555I model IMEi No:[protected] on date[protected] from Standard Teletronics, Show Room No: 1049, Sector 22B, Chandigarh.
Some Complaints are:
1) First of all In User Guid booklet not mention which type of Video file supported.
2) Only 40-45 percnt "3gp" Video files sucessfully supported.

I contact your Service Center, but he can't remove my Problem then I told to shopkeeper, please exchange to other model hanset, but he tolde me that's not possible.

In this condition, I ask you, Users why purchage your mobile. In market, Low cost and better features mobiles are avilable Like NOKIA, LG, SAMSUNG.
So I request You, Please take action as soon as posible and reply me. Otherwise, I Complain against Company.

I have purchased W302. It works some time and it couldn't work some time.
Sorry to say, but I am really hurt by the after sales service provided by your company . I bought this handset K 550 i shortlisting from Nokia, Motorola, thinking that brand name sony would really stand out in tem of performance and after sales service if needed . With in three month from date of purchase the problem of network & poor battery performance started . The same was given to GNH telecom for rectification . After changing BT Antenna Foil & system connector it was told that the problem has been rectified, but after a week time the same problem started occurring .

The handset was again given to service center on 28.02 .09 ( Complaint ID - SES09GNH 10371) . It was told that with in 7 -10 days, the problem would be rectified or a new handset for the same value will be provided . Later I called service center on 05.03.09, confirming that i am ready to accept new handset ( same value) . The customer care confirmed that the things would be executed by Monday ( i.e -09.03.09)
Today ie 13.03.2009, when I enquired about the set I was told that the part has been arranged &again it would take 4 -5 days to get my handset.

This ordeal is already 13 days & I have to be without my handset for another 4 days . My only fault was that I bought Sony ericsson handset and the result is I have to be without handset for Approx 20 days missing lot of important business calls .

Even after this I am not sure when exactly I will receive this handset and the repaired one would work for how long ! Hope some senior guy from the company is listening and is really cared for the brand name "SONY ERICSSON"

Today again after receiveing assurance that I will receive in four working days i.e 0n 18th, I have not receive the handset and on calling customer there reply is same that the complaint is in process and please wait

Now I have planned to lodge a complaint and take the company to "CONSUMER COURT

I am also having the problem in battery talktime for W302 Sony Ericsson model.

I believe they are giving false committment in mobile model features & in service too. As per their website battery talktime for W302 is 7hrs. But ridiculously it lasts only for 2 hrs. The customer care rep & service center rep are speaking innocently.

I have to complaint against Sony Ericsson in consumer court.

As said by you below I collected the handset from service centre. Still I am having the same problem (ie, low battery back up). It lasts only for 2 hrs talking time rather than 7hrs. Your authorized service centre replied that battery backup for all W302 model would last only 2hrs to 2.5hrs. And also replied that they couldn't repair this out.

Kindly provide the replacement of handset which should last 7hrs battery talk time. I am completely frustrated with this model. Please treat as priority & make me happy by using Sony Ericsson W302 with 7hrs battery backup

One of worst customer handling i ever seen i my life, my new mobile got repaired by 6months, i hand overed my mobile and i was waiting for almost 3 months to get a replacement, they themselves dont know what is the problem.after getting a new mobile different model which i didnt like memory card was not given, its been 45 days over still i didnt get any replace ment when call customer service they least bother to attaend the call, i reached customer service center all staffs chat with each other instead of handling customer, i am a preimium customer of sony erricsiom from past 6 yrs, but now i feel why the hell i am using this mobile, any how i promise to you that hence forth me or my family, or my friends will not use sony erricsion mobile phones.i dont know what the management are doing after getting so many complaints, better pilll up your sock to improve yourself.

the problem occured from the first weak when i bought my new hand set sony ericsson w380i it really works very slow and when i got to repair center they didn't listen me now tell me the solution of this problem either change the handset or repair them otherwiise i have to go to consumer court.

Hello. I am Ameya Navghare. I’ve given my Sony Ericsson W302i (black) for repairing at Sony Ericsson service center at Sakinaka on 11th May 2009. Its IMEI is [protected]. It has issues with its speaker. The job no is MUASE 193206. Since then I’ve paid at least 2-3 visits & made many phone calls but the reply given by the person there was same that “The part is not in stock”. Even worse now days they are not even picking up my calls.
I purchased a Sony Ericsson handset by considering its high standards for quality. How can a device like that, even after handled with due care, gives problem like this? Also the service center has not provided me with any spare phone, due to which I am facing undue hardship with my day to day routine. How can a reputed company like SE give excuses like unavailability of spare?
So I’d like to know about the date at which my cell will be handed over to me in full working condition. I want my cell as soon as possible.
Please do the needful.

I purchased Sony Ericsson Handset Model W3501 from Mobile Store, Ahmadabad.Within two weeks the handset started getting heated, the software started crashing.I handed over the handset to The Mobile store, which in turn sent it to Sony Ericsson service Center, Drive -in Road, Ahmadabad.

I am yet to receive my handset back and they claim to have changed Mother Board thrice as it is crashing every time.Every time I call for the status, the answers I keep getting from executives are like"how do we know", "nothing can be done", "you can only wait" and such vague replies.When we call to ask for relevant official numbers, the service center refuses to give it saying those are private numbers and they will get back, which they never do.Twice I went to collect the handset when they told so, yet I was made to wait for over two hours. I still dont have my handset back.They are themselves accepting that the handset is "faulty".

I want the relevant authorities to look into the matter as I do not want to approach the Consumer Court yet.

As an educated Customer I am well aware of my rights and I dont understand how a Company of such an International Strature can employ such rude, tactless, underqualified people who are ill equipped to deal with customers and not even provide service on time.I am fed up of having to wait for more than a month and not even having a replacement yet.I am willing to upgrade to another new handset and pay the difference
i actually bought a new USB cable for my handset K-750i. i want to send all contacts to my computer . is it possible.. i tried in all ways.

i purchased my sony ericsson W810i two years before, few days before when i attached my cell to PC the Kaspersky Antivirus deleted " autorun.inf " file, then after my cell is not getting started at all.

i reached Sony Ericsson service Centre, Drive - in Road, Ahmadabad where after waiting for one & half hour, they examined my cell & told me that nothing can be done as circuit is damaged & i have to replace it which will cost me around 70% to 80% of price of my cell. they also charged me Rs. 221/- eventhough nothing was repaired. i told them that " autorun.inf " file was deleted, they just had to install it back, but still they illeterate people couldnot do anything.

second thing is, please arrange some qualified staff at Drive - in Centre who can handle such kind of problems, as well as mannerful staff who can attend customers in good manner.

i got a new sony ericson K810i on march 11, 09.just in 3 months my keypad was totally damaged.the piece was ok but the problem is only about the keypad.i had bought the phone from the mobile store, one at goregaon(w), mumbai.now my mobile is in the service station since june 17th.its already one and half months.they say that the new keypad is not available.
even after paying 11500 i m not able to use my phone.please do something for better service to the customers.else it would be rather very difficult for such a big company to have a good position in the market.the service centre guys are making us wait for such a long time.its also located at goregaon(w), s.v rd, mumbai.
please take this into consideration because we as a customer should get the benefits of your phone.

Sony Ericssion w910i — Mobile hanging and sometimes it automatically switched off and turn on

I have given my mobile Sony Ercssion W910i on 22-July-09 for servicing Center at Accelfrontline. They said me that RF board has to be replaced till now i have went 3 times but they are replying me it has to come from chennai, when i called them on friday 7-August-09 they has said it has come u can come collect your piece on monday. Nearly i was there for 3 hours but the same reply has come from that employee.Please give a advice how to get my piece with good condition. and battery also Replacement.

i purchased Sony Ericsson G 502 from your one dealer in Solan (HP) but this mobile has started giving problem to me. The mobile gets switched off atleast 3-4 times in a day automatically. Sometimes when i am on call with another person then it gets switched off and restarts again taking lot of time.

I am fed up with this mobile and i want to get it changed. Now i have no more trust on Sony Ericsson products.

3) No Bottom Not Woking Properly.


I contact your Service Center 5 time with in 6 monthe every time they take 20 days 30 days time, but he can't remove my Problem then I told to shopkeeper, please exchange to other model hanset, but he tolde me that's not possible.
