[Resolved]  Sun Direct — Poor Service

I subscribed to Sun direct in the month of Apr'09. For seeing paid channels, we need to buy "Currency". As per the sundirect website, they advertised that the currency will be available from Aircel dealer however in reality it is not.

For chosing new paid channels, they provide an option to do the same by login to "www.sundirect.in" through customer login after buying the currency. I bought the currency recently 10 days back. However unable to login for past 10 days.

Customer care number[protected]as per their website www.sundirect.in, is always busy.

I totally dissatisfied with their deficiency in service.

Last one weak the service of Sun dirct is very poor, There is no action has been taken. As custmer i have stacefied with thi pepole. I am sure in future in frinds and relation will not buy the sun Dircet.
Worst Service I have ever seen. Sun Direct is not working for the past 15 days. Eventhough they say the satellite issue is solved, its actually not. Calling the customer care everyday, but no response/solution. Our TV is blank & planning to shift to cable TV itself. In a nut shell, do not ever PAY & BUY the problem by going to Sun Direct.
I was use the Sun DTH from last 2 years, When i am purchase the DTH i was stay in thane before 2 months i am relocate to the kalyan that also comes on the thane district. On that time the thane service person instruct me to the installation done by kalyan distributor in kalyan, from the net i was collect the distributor phone no o[censored]lhasnagar his person come to my home after the 3 days installation done but he is not ask any document from me after the 2 weeks i had the signal problem i was call to the Sun DTH customer care , but they are not entertain my complaints due to the not submission of my residential proof. Is not the responsibility of the distributor to ask the document, Now also i have the problem with my Sun DTH but i am contact the distributor directly but still the person not came i am waiting for 4 days.
online it has mentioned that the sund irect has reashed for 30 milliions but if it is going on like this poor service it will become to 30 or less then that sure!!! so please look into it do the needull soon

I m the customer of sun direct dth service....in this case we not at all getting good service from them means they are doing fraud with customers ...from 3 weeks we not at all geetting many of pay channels when we asked about it with customer care when it was happened they told its a software problem.....but till now we dint get those channels for which we are paying additional amt for that channels....and they are trying to make money throgh customer care also becoz everytime when we call it comes as network busy...but when we call from call chareable number we get it very fast and the customer care services are not at all good....so kindly please take my complaint and resolve my querry please.......

If you are planning to buy sun direct DTH...never think about it last 2 months there is software problem and still not resolve. I am going to terminate my sun dth connection. Extremely poor service.
Don't believe their plan now, many channels have not been showing by sun due to their poor service.

Sir, I already lodged a complaint against sundirect DTH service, It is giving a poor service in Assam area. My smart card no is [protected] using the service from one year, from last 4months picture quality is disgracefull, we cant enjoy our favourite channels, giving complaints is also become fruitless, i don't know why Indian court ban these fraud companies, which is making day & neight advertisement that they are having MPEG4 technology & maximum noumber of channels but on ground is a worst service provider in DTH SERVICE, regarding this matter if anybody having any quiry please contact me on [protected]
I am a customer of Sun Direct , My set top Box is not working at all from[protected], for this I have lodged a Complaint at Sun Direct Customer Care, I got the following Information from their:

1 New set Top Box Charges – Rs 3000

2. Service Charges of Dealer – From Rs 100 to 400 (Earlier they charged Rs 300) + Additional Charges in case of any physical damages or change of Part.


3. New Connection + Set Top Box + 4 Month subscription = Rs 525 + 1250 (Installation) = 1775.


The above information appears to be funny. From this my interpretation is that, one should take a new connection rather than repairing the Sun Direct Set Top Box.

I have charged my sun direct smart card with Rs. 150 on[protected]. I requested at sun direct customer care, not to deduct any amount from my account as I am not using the services of Sun Direct. (Customer care Executive / Nodal officer and Technical Inspector refused, they said we can not help you in this regard this is as per the policy) This is an example of very poor customer care Service, No action is being taken by the nodal officer Delhi and UP. I am fed up with the services of sun direct.

I have handed over the Set Top Box to the technical Inspector on 21/09/2010

Kindly take appropriate action in the matter with penalty for deficient service and for compensation. I have spent atleast Rs. 300 with frustration in phoning and emailing Sun Direct. Above all I lost one month TV entertainment because of sun Direct.


Now on 27/09/2010 as per the telephonic conversation by the technical inspector if I will take one year subscription then they will give me set top Box of Rs 500. I have to agree as now a days TV entertainment is a basic necessity. But I feel that customer is of no importance for Sun Direct Company.

Yessss, After making a lot of complaint still today not a single technician visited my house my smart card no is [protected]R. Today i talked in customer care with fraud Manoj. Once again same promise that technician will visit your house within 2 hrs. I directly challenged him that please give me your account no. If technician visited or just make a call to my mobile i will pay rs5, 000 in his account. But instead of taking it as challenge fraud companys fraud Manoj disconnect the line & ran away. From last 3months i only managed to watch 57% strength of network with Sun Direct made unlimited complaints not even a single technician visited our house so i dicided to daily make a complaint & result to publish in this network. Lets wait & watch what fraud company will do.
WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE 50% CHANNELS OF OUR PACKAGE SINCE LAST THREE MONTHS DUE TO SUN-DTH PROBLEM & MOREOVER THEY ARE CHARGING FULL AMOUNT & NOT EXTENDING VALIDITY PERIOD. PLEASE ASK THE COMPANY TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. THEIR CUSTOMER CARE IS USELESS, AS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO TELL ANY THING.JUST TALKING RUBBISH FOR WAITING. I THINK SUN DTH IS BIGGEST CHEATER COMPANY IN DTH SERVICE.
I am also facing the same problems. They charge Rs 300 for South Jumbo Pack per month and half of the channels including main ones like zee studio and sony pix and History are not coming. But they are charging the same amount for 3 months without extending validity for even one day. Now I have unsubscribed from South Jumbo but if I want to subscribe to a new bouquet Mercury plus, only half of the promised channels are coming in that also. So right now I am stuck with more than 1000 rs balance in sun dth. They ARE the biggest cheaters. I am thinking of changing to Airtel or Reliance once my balance gets exhausted. Airtel offers more channels for rs 275 in their south mega pack. And their service must be definitely better than Sun.
This is regards to the Poor response and Service from Sun Direct DTH Providers.

I made a call to Sun Direct DTH Call Center on the First week of September of 2010 for Tuning my Sundirect DTH ( Which is done at free of cost due to satellite issue).

They said the Tuning of the DTH will be done by the end of September 2010. But now its almost end of Oct 2010 and no one turned up to tune the DTH. The response from the Call center is too bad. I am unable to watch television properly because of their poor service. B/w the signal is very poor during night time and we get only black screen.

Can you please take necessary action on them. Even i have planed to go for a legal suite. Please do let me know how to proceed further on this.

Please dont ever purchase Sun direct DTH , customer service is very poor , i have placed a complaint 1month back to change the dish aliment bcoz none of the channels are coming . till date none of the persons of sun direct have come rectified . its so embrassing when i call customer care they ask for the smart card number disconnect .. pls dont ever by this product

I am from Hyderabad and my Sun direct smart card number is [protected]. From one and half month the customer care just logs my complaints and assures me that my complaint will be resolved in 24 hrs. My issue is not resolved yet. Sun direct customer care is the worst in the world. Please dont buy SUN DIRECT CONNECTION.

SUN DTH — Poor Service

As the Sun direct has changed their Satellite, most of the channels are available to the viewers.
They are showing a message that we need to contact the Delaer for the re-alignment of the DTH Antenna in the house and it will be done at free of cost. Hlowever when the Dealer for called he is saying that it will done at the cost of Rs.200 else we need to contact the Sun direct customer care no.
I have called the Customer care number and given the complaint NINE times and every time they will say that within 48 hrs they will send a technician. But till now no one turned up.
VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
