[Resolved]  Tata Indigo Manza — Problems with Manza

Address:Nashik, Maharashtra

Wednesday, July 07, 2010
Sir,
I bought a Indigo Manza Aqua Diesel on the 11th of June 2010. The idea was to have a big economical family car as my swift petrol (due to low mileage) was proving to be costly. There are certain issues which I would like to bring to your notice,
1. The left door does not close properly.
2. The dicky also has the same problem.
3. The fuel flap is difficult to open.
4. The bonnet does not close completely
5. When the vehicle goes beyond 80kmph, the steering starts to vibrate.
6. There is a noise when the vehicle is driven over slightly bad roads.
7. The speedometer light goes off suddenly while driving.
My brother who works in Tata Motors assured me that the above problems will be rectified by the dealer. So today when I went to the dealer, he told me to come on 19th July as he has a huge backlog of problems to solve.
Had this been my first car, I might have accepted this argument but I am used to Maruti’s superior customer service. I can’t imagine waiting for 13 days to get my vehicle serviced.
Also the showroom “Sterling Motors” is a big joke. There is no air conditioning or even simple fans in the showroom. There is no place to sit in the servicing section. The service station room (where customers interact) is filthy. It’s specifically made for truck drivers only.
The list of problems with Sterling Motors is endless but I would rather concentrate with the problems with my car now.
I took my car to shreekurpa Automobiles for my first servicing but they could repair only 3 problems
1. The left door does close properly.
2. The dicky's problem has been solved.
3. The fuel flap is opening is smooth.
But new problems have propped up. The indicator showing door open is always on and so is the light. So I again took the car for servicing. The answer I got was that there is problem with the central locking knob on the co-drivers side. I have been advised to buy a new lock to solve the problem.
The status of my cars problems are
4. The bonnet does not close completely
5. When the vehicle goes beyond 80kmph, the steering starts to vibrate.
6. There is a noise when the vehicle is driven over slightly bad roads.
7. The speedometer light goes off suddenly while driving.
8. There is a lot of bur on the plastic parts which can result in an injury. I have been advised to buy new parts by the service center as the present parts are faulty.
I deceided to buy a new car(instead of a second hand) to ensure peace of mind. I am ruing that decision now.
Regards
Sachin
