[Resolved]  Tata Photon+ — Fraud billing

I have been using Tata Photon+ Post Paid Data card - Number - [protected] from Oct 2010 to May 2011. My problems started when i gave the request to deactivate the Tata Photon in the May '11. I had requested the Tata customer helpline executive to deactivate my existing connection. At that time he received the request and gave positive reply and advised me that my connection will be deactivated after 15 days. But donot use Tata Photon during this duration so the bill will be generated accordingly and will be adjusted if not used. After a while i received mails and overdue receipts from Tata for 2 Months. But my actual usage was for only 1 month and 5 days. I called up customer care and requested them to send the revised bill, but instead of hearing my case. He said to pay the Entire bill of 1,859 Rs and said that bill will not be revised. Also if i want to sort out the issue visit their main branch i.e : Guajarat Bhavan, ahmedabad. I went there and told them about the case, they directed me to technical department, i waited for 3 hours but no response. So i finally decided not to pay bill for full 2 months unless they revise the Bill.

After 45 days a guy from Tata teleservices called me, i told him my case and after the discussion he agreed and revised my bill to 1100 Rs. Which i agreed and requested for some letter stating that i have paid my bill, but he told that i will receive the Payment Receipt and that will be enough. Then the person collected Cash from me and gave me the receipt of 1100 Rs of final settlement on 27th July '11. Receipt number : 35895. Then i was called in October that still i have to pay 759 Rs or else they will process for legal matter. I gave them the receipt number but they told me to provide the Final settlement copy from Tata. Finally they sent me the Legal letter from some advocate to settle this issue. IS THIS THE WAY TO FOOL CUSTOMERS TO PAY A CERTAIN AMOUNT??? AND THEN THREATEN TO SUE ME for 759 Rs... ALL THIS AFTER 3 MONTHS OF FINAL SETTLEMENT AND BILL PAYMENT???
