THANKYOU
(Kindly go through the communications made between the fraud agency and myself at the bottom of the present three mails)

Hello Sir,
Kindly go through the following mail that has come to me in response of my inquiry about my winning of the Irish Lottery Promotion 2009 in order to get confirmed about my winning status. The person concerned is from the real and genuinely registered Irish Lottery Promotion Agency. Since I did not get any clear-cut and unambiguous response from your end, I had to contact the Irish Lottery Agency to know the facts. Secondly, one of my investigators has detected the same kind of case lodged in Orissa dated back 16.01.2009 vide case lodged by Mr. Akshaya Kumar Sahu with the local Vigilance Department in Orissa and has written the following complain, which he has also posted in 'Indian Consumer Complaints Forum'. My departmental inquiry has taken a written statement from him and this following is his copy of the complain:
DEAR SIR,
The Promotion DEPARTMENT IRISHLOTTERY sent me a message that your email address won the end of the promotion, so total money won 1400, 000.00 GBP finally you will get 700, 000.00 GBP.We have authorised to GLOBAL MAX COURIER to delivery your winning check & certificate, pls. contact
email address [protected]@yahoo.co.uk, GLOBAL MAX COURIER sent me mail your parcel already dispatched, as soon as diplomat will reach in INDIA he will contact you & follow the instruction, very next day diplomat called me for appointment and given A/C number & accountant name, I paid accordingly after that he asked 120, 000.00 for transferring fond to my account it was impossible for me, than he told pay only 30, 000.00 rest will pay PDC.I have paid already on 19/12/2008 so far have not received my parcel. When asking for my parcel, he is asking Rs.50, 000.00 more. I am giving his SBI account number : [protected] and name VANLALTLUANGI, IN WHICH a/c no I paid Rs.35, 000.00 Dated 19/12/2008.and giving his mobile number also[protected] Voda phone connection.
If it is possible to catch him pls.do, he is not cheating me only may hundreds of innocent people.

I do also have lodged a complain to-day with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India about this scam and fraud. I had smelt something fishy since the beginning and I had not provided you with exact information except for my cell number and mail IDs. Deliberately, I had mentioned some information about my office and my position using the mail ID at the end of the HDF Mail, which belongs to one of my close friends, who is working in Orissa.

Before sending this mail to you, I have forwarded the mail I have received from the Real Irish Lottery Promotion Agency along with detail copies of all communications made between you and me to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) -New Delhi along with the number you have used to call me to-day and the A/C number, name and PAN number of the person in ICICI Bank. The fact is that even I don’t belong to or stay in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. I stay in one of the major cities in India and the trap is already set at Bhubaneswar (My friend's residence) to catch the birds. From the internet by now, the CBI must have found out the victims in India and their details those have been deceived by such e-mail scams and frauds for last several years by different fraud agencies.
Please go through the following mail from Real Irish Lottery Promotion Agency, and do you have any explanation to it?

I have no more to write to you because this is the last communication from my end.

Wish you all the best for the future fraudulent practices.

With regards,
Subrat K. Rout.

Dear Subrat,

Thank you for your email.

This is to confirm that the mails you received is a scam and that there are
many lottery scams circulating by mail, email and telephone around the
world. Recently, more than one scam operator has even copied the logo and
materials of ILS to carry out their criminal activity under the cloak of
respectability.Their purpose is to relieve you of your money in a fraudulent
but in a very convincing way. We will not be surprised if you have received
one that claims to be connected with us.

We advice that you become more vigilant because there are some deceptive
offers wherein they inform you of big winnings followed by a request to send
"processing" fees to cover the cost of sending your "prize money" and which
after, you will never hear from them. Bear in mind that if you have indeed
won a prize in any lottery, you need not send any money just to claim it and
if they have not asked you yet, they will eventually.

You can never win in any lottery you have never entered in the first place.
For you to win, you must have a valid playing number by purchasing
tickets/games and your entry lodged to official National Lottery Draws. We
do not and with other legitimate lotteries carry out draws in which email
addresses are attached to a ticket number and randomly drawn or winners are
selected through "Online Promotions."
If you are in doubt about a lottery offer you have received, you can visit
our website at http://www.irishlotto.net or
http://www.fraudwatchinternational.com/lottery/ if you have given them any
information.

The samples are actual "offers" received by ordinary citizens and even our
veteran lottery players. These are lottery offers which you (and your
friends) should absolutely avoid entering because you'll never receive any
cash prize whatsoever.

Should there be any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely yours,

Brian Mac

Once again, congratulations.

Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot for your immediate response. I do hereby declare to adhere to your instruction and payment of Rs.36000/- in Indian Currency for the delivery of the consignment. However, I would like to know some of the basic facts that I could not get to understand from your mail. The following are my queries and I do expect a response from your end:
1. Who is the 'First Person' (your Diplomat) from your end would contact me and from where and within how many days? (Since mine is a most of the time touring job and very often to some of the places where mobile phone network does not exist)
2. How many days it would take to deliver the consignment and where in India the consignment would be delivered to me?
3. When your Diplomat in India is expected to contact me and from where?
4. Whether I need to hand over the money i.e. Rs.36000/- (INR) to your Diplomat or to the Customs Office?
5. You have mentioned in the first paragraph of your mail "Your prizes for the 2009 Irish Lottery Promotions, has been brought to us for delivery to your residence by the Claims Department of the Irish Lottery Promotion, UK." and in the following paragraph you have mentioned "You are advice to follow the instruction of the diplomat as soon as he arrive (Diplomat Dan Joseph) because he has other consignment to deliver." I just want to know whether your Diplomat Mr. Dan Joseph would personally come for the delivery of the consignment or through your Indian Diplomat Mr. Mike David or through any other person?
6. Kindly be specific, whether the consignment would be delivered in my residence or I need to go to some place to receive the consignment?
I am in such a position I don't want to tarnish my image and putting my position and credibility at stake by getting into Customs' inquiries. You might not be knowing how vigilant Indian customs system is and once they come to know about the entire transaction, though it would be legal, they would deliberately create trouble to cease everything. In that case, I shall be the looser from all quarters.
7.The last but not the least one is you have mentioned in your mail that "The Items in your Possession for your delivery" are "

1.) £700, 000.00 (Seven hundred thousand Great British Pounds) written in your honour.
2.) Certificate of winning.
How could you be too sure about both the things since the Department of Irish Lottery Promotion, UK must have handed over to your either in a sealed envelop or in a sealed packet?

Nevertheless, I do accept your offer by taking a risk of my position and reputation. This mail may be treated as my confirmation to your mail and delivery offer. But I do definitely expect some quick responses from your end clarifying my doubts and queries.

Once again thanks a lot for your intimation.

Looking forward to an immediate and unambiguous response from your end.

With sincere regards,

Subrat K. Rout.

Please let me know about this mail whether anybody else has received this...

Even i received a mail today subject mention : your E -mail has won.
After replying to that mail i received another mail subject mentioned :VODAFONE PROMOTION DEPARTMENT { CONTACT TRANSFERING BANK }‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏

I am pasting that mail down here they were asking to contact some my citi diamond bank which is united kindom based ( i searched for that bank in google didn't found the exact name matching the one i found is only named "Diamond Bank plc") One more interesting thing you can find is the Bank contact person (Mark Owen) email doesn't have the official bank email-ID which is something hotmail ID.

They are using Vodafone name and lobo too

I know this is another fake mail from some fraud people but what i want to know what gov is doing to spread the awareness among people, they have to catch these people and Acknowledge to the complainer that they have caught the culprit or they are looking into the matter so we get assurance that these mails are fake rather being confused and keep receiving these mails.
