I have insured my car with HDFC ERGO. After informing them i entrusted my vehicle to a workshop. One surveyor came and inspected. The work was started after informing HDFC. Then a second surveyor came. This was also informed to HDFC. They kept quiet. When claim form was submitted, they rejected saying by the time the second surveyor came, the work had commenced.They are not at all professional and not customer friendly

My mother has HDFC ERGO mediclaim. She had operated her eye on 2nd May 2011 for Cataract. Whenever we claimed the amount what we spent. They simply saoid no, we are not entitled. At the time of selling this policy nobody had informed us about our entitlity for the same.

Non Reimbursement of Towing Charges during accident

I have a car insurance from HDFC Ergo GI Company and I had an accident and availed the insurance claim. My car was hit from the back badly and thus was not in the condition to be driven to the workshop. I thus had the car towed, but the insurance officer did not agree to reimburse the tow charges and I was given a reason that since the car was on it's four wheels and hit from behind thus the tow charges cannot be entertained....
