Dear sir,
On 18th july 2017 we had to travel from vishakhapatnam to palakkad. Our pnr numbers are [protected] & [protected] in train number 13351. The train was running indefinitely late even several hours before to reach our destination, but no information was given to us. Our old aged ill healthy mother and others were to travel with us, and we had vacated hotel and rushed to station on actual scheduled time. Only after reaching station, we were shocked to know this train was running indefinitely late. There is no proper information received from authorities as to when it's expected so that we could go back and lodge rooms.
I do appreciate great work being carried out by railways. Of course certain things are beyond anyones control. But a message could save lots of inconvenience and losses for passengers. We couldn't have exited stay at hotel and could have extended easily. Now time is 17:32 hrs and status remain unchanged. Yes, in ac retiring room, fabricated long chairs made of bare steel pipes are provided. There is no cushion or soft seats on it. It's no way convenient to stay for long stay (8hrs are now and we stay without any idea). Again yes, ac waiting room is moderately clean and temperature maintained. But besides that there is no aminities. We have booked by paying high tariff on second ac and whats alternative arrangements made for customers in such situations??? Is it that every minute there is an announcement "inconvenience is deeply regretted". Will it hold good for people trusting railways to assist in situations where it's warranted. We have lost all schedules made and earned huge money loss and shear desperation.
We hope this mail reaches officials who will understand our predicament and will come out with some positive favorable actions to avoid such unpleasant situations.
