Hi,
Myself avijit mohanta, i was travelling with my family from kolkata (Sdah) to balurghat (Blgt) dated 26/05/2018 by train. Our journey starts at 10:15 pm and train reached to maldah (Mldt) around 6am morning next day (27/05/2018).
At maldah station train has been stopped and did not move. There was an announcement occurred at station mentioning that "the train will not go to balurghat due to some rail track issue and asked all or us to vacant the train". We have also visited the station master there also but he also advised us to vacant the train. Note that the distance between maldah (Mldt) and balurghat (Blgt) is 110 km.
There is no natural disaster happened as the whole disaster was made by railway authority itself. Train authority has taken no responsibility to arrange some alternatives, moreover they are not informed us earlier about the issue.
After that i have filed tdr mentioning that we "partially traveled" then left the train and waited for refund.
Today i got a tdr status "repudiated" as they refuse to accept it and the refund amount is zero.
