[Resolved]  LG Electronics — Refund for returned A/C remotes

On 21 Mar 15 I had visited the LG service center at Pathadipalam (Kochi) in connection with the defective remote controls of 2 of my split A/Cs, both outside the warranty period. As the exact model remotes were not available I was given another model remotes. I was told to try it out and return if not working. Payment of Rs 650/- each was made against their receipt. As the remotes were found to be unsuitable for my A/Cs, I visited the service center on 23 Mar 15 and returned them.I was told that the refund can be issued only in cheque. They took the remotes and the receipt and told me to submit a cancelled blank cheque leaf of a bank account of mine so that the refund cheque could be issued using my details. On 25 Mat 15 I again visited the service center with the cancelled blank cheque and my postal address etc. I was again told that the processing would take a few days. On 11 Apr 15 I contacted the center (phone number [protected]) and inquired about the refund. I was advised to contact after a week. On 18 Apr 15 forenoon, I contacted again on phone. I was then told that the Manager is in a meeting and that they would call me back after the meeting. Since I did not get any call I rang up in the afternoon several times. It appears that they are now not picking up calls from my phone. It is requested that the matter be investigated and arrangement be made for refunding the money towards the remotes that were returned.
