Malabar Hill Police Station — Dereliction of duty by officer on duty

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra, 400006
Website:Mumbai Police

At about 10:15 a. M. Today, i called up the police station of my jurisdiction to get the noise of stereo stopped. A driver of a large car bearing nameplate with last four digits 2574 parked his car under my building and was making lot of noise which was unbearable. The duty officer who gave his name as chavan did not send any one and take any action. At 10:30 a. M. I called the building security guard of `c' wing and showed him the car from which the name was emanating. The driver kept on saying `aapko kya hai?'. I asked the watchman to take the number of the car and i myself also went behind to see the number. The car driver escaped speedily from the scene of crime. Now it is 10:47 a. M. And still no one has come from malbar hill police station. I must also mention that the duty officer told me `bhejte hain' but did not ask me my name or address. It was only when i told me why are you not asking my address and name. It was only then i told him the name of the building. The duty officer is guilty of dereliction of duty.
