[Resolved] Samsonite India — Warranty not adhered to | |||
I had bought a premium Samsonite bag which i thought would last me at least till the warranty period ended. But in two years the zipper went bad and i sent it for repairing. After few weeks I got a call saying that the zipper is not repairable and that they will replace the bag. When i went to the store, they said they will only replace the amount of the MRP of the bag that i had purchased 2 yrs ago. Obviously in 2 yrs the price on the bag had gone higher. How can they expect me to pay the difference in the amount(which is a huge amount) since this is a premium bag. What is the point of the warranty then? I paid a premium price for the bag because it had a warranty. If i knew the bag would only last me 2 yrs I would have rather purchased a cheap unbranded bag which, used it for 2 yrs and threw it on breaking down. What was the point of getting an expensive bag? If they cant repair it, they should replace it free of cost. Was this information helpful? | |||
