Stray Dogs — Complaints

My neighbour, who also happens to be one of the landlords, keeps stray dogs inside the building in the passage outside our doors and also on the staircase. She places food and water in the passage for them to feed on. This causes quite a nuisance to us as the entire area stinks, I get ticks crawling on the walls of my appartment sometimes and most people get scared to enter the building and so often we do not get our mail from couriers or my messages from my company as the couriers/ despatch riders are scared of coming home.

I have requested her several times but to no avail and when i shoo the dogs out, or pour some eucalyptus oil in the passage to neutralise the stink, she starts yelling and saying that as she's is the landlord, she can do whatever she likes in the common areas such as passages and staitcases. I have tolerated her nonsense for well over a year and now it's getting worse. Can you please help? Surely there must be a law that if you have a dog it should me kept in your own house and not outside someone else's? How can I get her to remove these dogs from the passage and staircase?

Stray Dogs — Dogs are biting unnecessarily

there are two dogs in house no. 33/a, near gurudwara, munirka, delhi. they bark and bite unnecessarily to any people passing thru the street. they bark on anyone around them and bitten many people till now. there owner are also doing nothing. the color of the dogs are White and brown. I request MCD to send there dog catching squad as soon as possible.

I am living in DDA.MIG flats in CA block Shalimar Bagh and feeling unsafe everyday because of the dogs getting ferocious day by day and the no. are increasing daily . In just one months time i can see many dogs here which are not just a threat but a total disaster for the safety we require while coming out of our homes.These dogs have bitten sevral residents of the colony.

Some of the dogs even are developing the behavior of teasing everything that comes in there way, the dogs are also contracting contiguous diseases so as making the place smelly. Some of the dogs are even wounded enough to develop new kind of infection onto each other.These dogs have made in their homes in the main stair case blocks causing inconvenince to the residents.

Kindly please take necessary steps to remove trhese dogs from the colony and i will be very grateful for the cause.

Stray Dogs — stray dogs in ghatkopar east mumbai

Dear Sir/Madam,

There are about 3 dogs in our locality who have bitten over 10 people in the last one week. May we please request the concerned authorities to kindly take immediate action as there are lots of small children in this area.

i am resident at katra mashroo, dariba kalan, chandni chowk, delhi

We are facing a fear for ourself and our children due to the Stray Dogs in our locality who are increasing in numbers day by day.

Everyday they bite someone.

They keep barking through out Night which disturb peaceful environment of nights for sleeping

Also they sleeps at stairs and do anywhere at people’s houses

There is no check from MCD department on this front.

You are requested to bring this problem in the notice of the concerned person so that our locality get rid of these dangerous dogs.

Dear Sir,

I would like to complain about the rise of Stray Dogs in our colony. These dogs follow kids and bycycle riders and scare them which causes them to fall on parked cars and injure themselves.

These dogs not being sterlized keep giving births to pups off and on which leads in rise of their population. The pups of these dogs being very small keep becoming victim of motor cars commuting on the colony roads, which is very painful.

MCD has attemped twice to catch these dogs but despite their best effort were unable to get hold of them.

I hereby request your good self to look into the matter and help our colony to get rid of the mennace.

Subject: Stray Dogs menace

We would like to bring this to your kind notice that approximately 10 stray dogs are there in our compound. Due to these dogs, the residents are facing regular problems. Recently, one of the dog has bitten a Security Guard. These dogs bark on anybody and there were cases in the past that they have bitten children in the society.

We request the MCD to kindly take necessary action immediately and send the Dog squad to avoid this problem.

I am working in a private company in electronics city and i live in electronics city near syndicate bank.
As a part of my job i will be doing night shifts also there are around 20 stray dogs in that are near syndicate bank kindly take some action on that.This is creating a lot of inconvenience to all of the employees living in that area.

I m in Bhakthavachalam Nagar, 13th street in Nanganallur in my street there are around 10-15 dogs they are almost quiet at evenings and day but after 11 pm they start to bark and never ends at all its a great night mare for our sleep so please forward it as soon as possible. tks a lot

Der r almost 5 dogs in each n every sub lane. here at MAGADI Road 1st Cross.. Bangalore.. so., totally dat amounts to almost 50-60 dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!! n one can just imagine hw wud d locality b!! wen one dog starts barking!!! all d other dogs start too!!! n der s absolutely no peace in dis locality..

not just dog menace.., ppl here in d locality keep organising one or d other event, rituals in public place!! blocking road!! installing LOUD SPEAKERS!! n dats an added Trouble.. u can't even ask dem to shut it off!! cuz de hardly pay heed., even if some1 retaliates., they abuse wid their filthy languages!! somebody has to look into dis issue very seriously!!

most importantly.. d stray dog eradication issue..!! its become a menace.. I personally had a narrow escape when a pack of dogs started howling at me.., n when more no. of dogs started appearing before me., all i cud do is stay INSIDE for sometime to avoid trouble..!!
Will d authorities listen??

There have been countless complaints on the stray dog menace and is it very disheartening to know there is nothing much done by the authorities concerned to tackle this. I reside in K R.Puram (Near the Railway diesel shed) and I must say it’s been a very long time since we’ve had a sound sleep, thanks to the stray dogs. The dogs seem to have become very wild and don’t seem friendly anymore. It’s a dangerous prospect for anyone to venture out, especially late evenings. The residents here have lodged a complaint with the K.R.Puram CMC office, however, they seem to have no real solution to the problem! I completely agree with the viewpoint of the animal welfare organizations but there needs to be good reasoning in dealing with such issues where humans are at the receiving end. We cannot make our lives miserable for a cause that does not really seem to serve any good purpose. So, I request who ever is reviewing these complaints to please action on the same, for us to have faith in your system.

Mr Nayak is absolutely correct.
In spite of repeated complaints by the residents Nobody has taken the action.
This shows the mentality of government employees towards their work.
They defend themselves by saying that they have not received the complaints.

I live in M block in West Patel Nagar.There are lots of dogs in our street. The stretch on both sides of our house is home to a gang of nearly 20-30 big and small dogs, causing utter nuisance during all times of the day and specially at night when they take over the streets while the regular dog gang wars keep us awake thru most of the nighttime. Please advice and help in this regard.

Stray Dogs — Stray Dogs in my society

hi, this is rohit dewan, a Delhi resident residing in ashoka enclave,plot no 8a, Sector-11, dwarka, Delhi-110075. 6 stray dogs in our society premises have become a big nucance, barking and littering all the day and disturbing our peaceful lives. They have recently bit a couple of residents of the society The society committee is doing nothing to shoo them away and hence I have no option but to approach the MCD. I request the concerned department to act promptly in the case.

Due to many stray dogs in our lane, they bark the whole night and creating nuisance for the residents.
There are sleeping dis-orders due to this. Students also get disturbed and can't concentrate.

There is always a fear of dog bite as well.

Please send the requisite staff to address the problem.
