[Resolved]  Tata Photon — avoid this company at all costs

I had request for cancellation of my Post paid TATA Photon (photon no. [protected]) connection on 10th December 2013 after clearing the final bills for the month December 2013. But instead of canceling my connection, after long harassing conversation the Tata Photon customer care forced me for SAFE CUSTODY promising that I wont be charged for any services, this is the message I got from Infinitez.Solutions.[protected]@tatatel.co.in

This is with reference to your Tata Docomo Mobile number [protected] a/c #[protected], for which you had asked for cancellation is now retained. As per the Tele conversation we had with you, we are offering SAFE CUSTODY for the period of Three months, where you will be not charged any rentals for next Three months. The benefit of keeping the connection under safe custody is that at any point of time within the safe custody period, you can get it reactivated without any documentation hassle by calling customer care[protected] or [protected]). Please confirm if we can proceed with the safe custody by a return mail to KA.[protected]@tatadocomo.com.".
In spite of mentioning that I wont be charges for safe custody, I have been sent a bill for January 2014. Please help me with this matter, even after cancelling the service, I have been very harassed. And also during the time of purchase, a security deposit amount was included, which was supposed to be returned after cancellation, I have not been informed anything about the process. Please help me.

We tried to speak to you personally over the call, to understand your concerns regarding cancellation and billing. However, we are unable to contact you, since your call was not answered.


We would like to inform you that as per your request, safe custody has been activated on 26/12/13 and Rs. 50/- have been charged as safe custody rentals. Please be informed that currently no outstanding amount pertaining in your account as you have made the payment of Rs. 50/- on 26/01/14.

However, kindly note that your request for cancellation has been registered vide docket number[protected] and out Tata Photon care team will get in touch with you shortly.
