[Resolved] Xolo — Xolo Opus 3 - Complaint regarding software problem / updation of system | |||||
I have purchased Xolo Opus 3 mobile phone in April 2015. For 7 to 8 months it was working properly. Suddenly some websites started appearing and getting downloaded automatically in the phone. I contacted the vendor and he got it formatted twice but still the same problem continued. Vendor told it is a problem of software and you have to contact xolo service centre. Finally I went to xolo service centre in dombivli at Gopi Mall. They have done the software update and problem was resolved. Since I have done this updation during warranty period they have not charged me anything. After two three months again same problem have started and I contacted xolo service centre at dombivli again and they have again done the updation of software and the problem resolved. This is during July 2016. Again within 3 months the same problem has started. Sites which are coming are mainly of pornography sites and also air express, amazon, makemytrip, bookmyshow. When I have done the software updation second time they charged me Rs.250 as service charge. The official told me that virus is coming through SD card. I have formatted the SD card though SD card was not affected by virus. I don't know what they are doing at the serviice centre - updation or formating as while doing the service they are telling that all your messages, photos, contacts will be deleted. While doing updation of software in other phones no such thing happens as software updation is done through mobile only when warning for updation is coming on phone only we have to click the update software message and it is automatically get updated. In your phone no such message is coming. When I asked thee official of the service centre at dombivli he told me there is no such provision in xolo and you have to do the updation through service centre only. I wonder whether I have to pay Rs. 250 for updation of software every 2 to 3 months to use the phone as I have purchased it with confidence and having faith in xolo brand.
