108 Ambulance — Ambulance with no stretcher and wheelchair service. Rude staff.

Address:108 Ambulance emergency services

My mother suffered a stroke. She was unconscious in my house on the 5th floor and we called 108 ambulance. It arrived in 20 minutes. The person in the ambulance called me to get the patient down. As the patient was unconscious I told the person that I would need your support in getting the patient down to the ambulance. He said his ambulance doesnt have a stretcher or a wheelchair and he refused to help carrying the patient from the 5th floor to the ambulance. We finally took the help of some neighbours and took my mother to the ambulance on a sturdy chair. All the while when we took my mother from 5th floor to the ambulance, the 2 people who had come in the ambulance did not even support the chair so that we can keep the patient in the ambulance. It was used as a taxi service where the only help the ambulance did for an unconscious patient was to take the patient to the hospital. The staff was very rude and they insisted on me only to get the unconscious patient to the ambulance. On the ground floor too near the ambulance, there was no pull out stretcher where we could keep her. Me and my neighbours had to lift up the chair and keep her in the ambulance ourselves.
