I have purchased a ACER ASPIRE 4736Z computer in Januray 2010. Once earlier the laptop was sent to them with subject complaint in February 2010. The laptop is again giving same problem. Can I ask for the replacement of the laptop. Is it legally covered that product giving such recurrent problem may get replacement. Please guide me. Thanks.

    Dear Sir,

    I have purchased Acer Notebook vide Invoice No: RET_TI_1, Book No: 1, Dated: 9th Apr 2009 Thursday from Acer Mall - Sigma I.T. Super Store (P) Ltd.
    The Notebook details are as below:

    Model No: Aspire D250
    Serial No: LUS570B2779112BE2B[protected]

    This notebook start malfunctioning on 16th Feb 2010 and as a result stop booting.

    Taking an initiative, I have immeditely deposited aforesaid notebook to Acer Service Center: Digital Solutions, Lucknow on 19th Feb 2010 3:30 PM vide Case Ref. No:[protected]. But after initial investigation by the service center, it has been said that we have to pay for any replacement/repair whereas this Notebook is still under warranty.

    Kindly take appropriate action and provide hassle free services as per the warrany norms so that I may feel that I have purchased right product from a renowned company which comes under Fortune 500 category.

    Dear Sir,

It has been repairdd 7th of time but still is not working perfectly. i am fed up with it and want not only the CD/DVD Drive but my full CPU to be changed. Its Employee Mr. Dev Acharya(Delhi) told me many time that i dont know how to use it properly. In this case i Chalanged him that plz use my CPU for only one month in your office/house after that you know its working ya not working. He's not satisfied with my comments. Always he's told me next time of repair it work properly. I listen these word many time of him.

    So tell me what should I do now, should i seek for the help of consumer form ?

      I Thanks God that acer is responding & Thanks our Forum for giving us time and space.The copy of E-Mail sent by me to acer customer care about my feelings is give here.

      One month have been passed and we are still on the ground, your reply
      (we have checked this monitor warranty details and found Acer india
      Pvt Ltd has not sold this monitor.Hence request you to pls contact the
      dealer/seller to avail the support.) is very
      humiliating,disgusting,irritating
      and like you are laughing on me.
      My problem is that I myself, is a newly retired person and computer is
      now the only hobby.After this tragedy my son has taken away my old but
      gold monitor.He is a very busy person, as the trend is, in young
      generation.You know it very well and exploiting them.You know it very
      well that our younger generation is too busy to follow you.
      What support we will get from the dealer is evident to me, you and
      every body,as its your day today business.
      But three things you should know about-
      1) We have a receipt/cash memo of the amount payed.
      2) Paid the Sells-Tax to the government.
      3) Registered the said Monitor at your Web-Site after purchase.
      Now if it is not one that,you have sold, then why are you accepting
      the registration on your Web.
      After the registration the customer thinks that he has purchased the
      genuine product of such a reputed company like ACER.
      At last I think that you are completely responsible for, the fault in
      your product and to repaire it in the warranty period and also to the
      time waisted by you.
      So please do your duty quickly.

      I am engg. student I had purchased an ACER LCD MONITOR on 3 months ago. on 23rd sep 2010. I had display problem in it. I had registerd my complaint on ACER service toll free no.[protected] on 23rd. sep. 2010 with complaint id:[protected]. and get the promise that before 4 th oct. 2010 I will get the new LCD sreen. but now upto today I am waiting for the replacement. Everyday I am calling their toll free no. but no positive responce i am getting instead of another promise for delievery of monitor. Sir I am pursuing my engg. so have lot's of work on computer & without monitor their is no meaning of compurer & I have to pay lot's of penny to cyber cafe for competing my project work and assignment.
      Sir It is my kindly request to you please go through my problem quickly as possible & save my RIGHTS as a CONSUMER.

        Hi Sir/Mam,

        I'am G.Yaswanth Kumar,from Gurgaon.Recently my Acer(3620 Model)laptop got virus and it's OS (Microsoft XP 2) got corrupted.

        On 22/12/2009 I went to Digitech Services Pvt.Ltd, which is a authorized service center for Acer,they told that my OS got corrupted so OS shall be reinstalled.They have billed me Rs.3700/- for
        1. RAM up-gradation(Rs.2700/-)
        2. OS reinstalling(Rs.1000/-) and to repair Fan
        I have paid Rs.1500/- as advance.

        At first they told that Windows 7 will be installed on my laptop including drivers.But,at the time of delivery I found that drivers are not installed properly.They told some problem with my Laptop configuration and so
        Windows 7 cannot be installed on my Laptop.Later,they have installed Windows Xp2 including drivers.

        But, when I came home and after 2 hours I got the same problem as earlier(OS corruption).This time instead of going to them(as I was vexed with delaying work and telling stories) I have done some google and solved the problem.After that it worked fine.

        But,during online upgrading of Windows Xp2 validation failed.As a Authorized service center they have installed an Pirated windows Xp 2 on my Laptop.Now,I have to buy a new Original windows Xp. And now, even the Fan problem is reproduced.

        My complaint is on Digitech Services Pvt.Ltd,Guragaon for:

        1. Installing Pirated Windows Xp 2 on my Laptop
        2. Not repairing my Laptop properly(OS corruption, virus and Fan problems)
        3. Not returning the Old RAM (512 MB)

          With reference to my complaint dated 26 Feb 2010.
          My son Ateeq ur Rehman purchased acer LCD monitor Model No- AL 2017 A having Serial Number : ETL[protected] ON 6TH of Sept 2007 from Cost to Cost at Nehru Place. But it is not working now.Even after repeated requests their customer care service is not responding.I think that their market sell in our country is so high that they don`t need to care about their customers or consumer forum or even consumer courts.On telephone they talk irresponsibly and don`t respond E-mails.
          If the serial no.does not match with their data bank then why do they registered the same Serial number at their web site successfully after the purchase.
          This attitude of such a reputed company is very dangerous for general public they are exploiting us knowingly.On other hand the government is giving all the benefits for these foreign brands and no protection for us.
          When we talk to the shopkeepers in the market(Nehru place),they told us that ACER is closing their business in INDIA soon .If it is correct then who will be responsible to our loss and agony.I have only faith on the consumer forum and the sufferers, please unite help each other and respond.

            sir/madam,iam a bussy doctor who bought a laptop(acer 4736z)in karaikal for my personel use as well for academic purpose.but since i bought my laptop it is in service center pondicherry due to some problem in usb port and no proper response from them too and finally i conclude that company is no one dubakoor.iam really very much frustrated and in my life time i never recommend anyone or bye myself the company so called ACER.thanks a lot for ur good service.keep it up.

            I too bought Acer laptop for my project work...
            in that wifi and 3G were not working properly ... i was trying to contact for past 3 weeks no use...
            Acer does not providing the customer support...

              My name is M.Parthasarathi and I am staying in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600 041. I purchased a Desk Top Computer Acer make with 3 years extended free warranty from Arshan Systech Pvt. Ltd., 14, Central Avenue St., Kodambakkam, Chennai 600024 vide their invoice no:1678 dt. 30.09.08. Till we buy the products those buggers are speaking very sweetly, once we bought the same thats all, they don't come back to us.

              During this one and half year I have called them for service thrice and they attended my case minimum after 20 days from the date of my complaint. They concentrate only on their paid AMC customers. They don't bother about us.

              This time I had problem in my CD drive. I registered a complaint on 23.01.10 and they came and taken my CD drive on 27.01.10 after that there is no feed back from them. I called 4 times during this time, they said the CD Drive is still under checking and they said that the same will be fixed in my system by last saturday. But one week is over there is no feed back from them.

              I request you all please dont buy any products from Arshan Systech Pvt. Ltd., 14, Central Avenue St. Kodambakkam, Chennai 600024 and you yourself dont't increase your Blood Pressure by calling them for service. Hope those buggers have some branches also. Be careful. Inform all of your know persons not to go to Arshan.

              Hi M.P.Sarathi, in service inductry its hard to satisfy all the customers and you are one among those. Arshan is there in market for more than decades and growing high. Their team will be srtiously working on your issues and might have fixed this for now. Don't forget to post your appreciation the same way you post your complaints.

              Acer — Not giving service

              There is a dot on my monitor.The call center guys diconnect the call. They are not giving service. I am from mumbai. ETLN70C[protected]C4000 is my monitor's serial number.
              Arshan seems no more as today at this 09.00 am business time (15/02/2012), none of their phone numbers are working. All of them are out of service. I am a poor customer of Arshans who invested 26000.00 in a Acer Desktop which is full of problems.

              Please dont belive Arshans.

                My son Ateeq ur Rehman purchased acer LCD monitor but it is not working now the customer care service is not cooperating to register even the complaint.The detail of the complaint by my son to the customer care is given below.
                Dear Sir,
                I Ateeq Ur Rehman, purchase Acer LCD Monitor Model No- AL 2017 A having Serial Number : ETL[protected] ON 6TH of Sept 2007.
                But Now I faced problem, when I turn on the monitor, The monitor screen get Translucent. And it take time to response there action, Even I didn’t see the cursor. It’s impossible to work on it.
                I tried to log complaint at your customer care but your representative doesn't log my complaint . And he say something like that my serial number does not match with the Acer data bank. And he clearly denied to log any complaint,
                I also try to log complaint through mail, but the same reply that my serial number does match.
                I also talk with your representative Mr Arun Singhal ([protected]), but he reply in a very funny way , “he says that’s it’s my problem, Why My serial number doesn’t match , It shows that I buy a monitor in a grey market.
                I can’t understand that’s my problem or yours, I have a bill also, and one more thing the same monitor also register at your website.
                So please understand my problem and resolve my problem..

                I purchased ACER LCD 19' three years back. The first fault occurs in first year. After so many calls the technician came and rectify the issue. When the warranty period got finish the ACER co. refuse to resolve the problem. It was really pathetic and harassment. When some one call to ACER customer the automatic operator ask you for press 1/2/3. 1 for existing complaints. 2 for general information. 3 for new complaints.

                IF you press 1 or 2 the operator ask you to log in the www.acer.co.in and check the status or information. They people are seek having no mind if someone’s computer is not working then how can he or she log on to www.acer.co.in.

                This was one of the example. I will request to every one if they are planning to purchase ACER product . Please please do not go for it. If you want to waste your money and want to go through fisical and mental harassment then go and enjoy…………

                  Dear sir/ madam
                  I am facing serious mental illness from acer laptop.
                  I had purchased a travelmate series 5730 laptop from an esteemed centre in jaipur on 7 april 2009.
                  but after that it always hanged me to the roof.
                  In every 15-20 days, i have to lodge a complaint for any of the spare part of it and my college work hangs out for those days.

                  being a student i dont manage to carry my laptop every month to service centre

                  so, in the end i want a permanent solution of it

                    Im having acer e725 lap. using vista ultimate. wifi not connecting or no wifi connection detected in my lap.
                    In device manager there is a missing driver shown as "network controller". I inserted the driver cd and right click on the above said "network controller" and click update driver. but a message shown as driver not found. Where I get that driver?? how configure wifi (BSNL) in my lap?? Plz help me sir...

                    I have purchased laptop from Dubai e-max on 17march2013, I have got problem in display screen and submitted the laptop at acer service lounge Bangalore. due to laptop purchased from Dubai they have rejected to repair.

                      There was problem in the display of my laptop. Some times the display would come and sometimes it wouldn't.The power would be there always ,there was no problem with it.Sometimes after trying two -three times the display would come and then it worked properly till the time I logged off. I took it to the Acer service centre CODEICON IT SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED S ,,G-6 Om Heera Panna, Oshiwara, Andheri (west),Mumbai 400053. on 26/12/2009 They said that it was NVIDIA problem ,job no. 116 and charged me Rs.3500/-on 29/12/2009 and returned my laptop. The display did work properly for a couple of days but again on 31/12/2009, the display did not come. I took it again to the same service centre, and they said they would fix it again,job no.137.
                      They gave it back on the 2/01/2010 but I had to give it back to them the very nextday as the display stopped showing.The power was still coming only the display was not showing.From 3/01/2010, they kept my laptop till 29/01/2010.and when they returned it they said that it was dead.During the one month that the laptop was with them they first said it was NVIDIA problem,then it was the processor, then it was fan and then they returned it dead saying it was motherboard that needed to be changed..they retuned the the Rs.3500/ by cheque that they had initially charged.but returned a dead laptop,where as I had given them a laptop that had power and only display problem.As per my knowledge the engineer had also gone for a holiday .
                      I brought this to the notice of Ms. Shubha Sharma,acer Support Centre,Mumbai and she sent my Laptop for rechecking at another service centre at Mahalakshmi,Mumbai,She said that the motherboard and fan needed to be changed.I spoke to her manager aswell but it didnot help either. what he offered was a 5% discount on the motherboard and free replacement fo the fan.
                      But my reasoning is that when I had given my Laptop to the service centre it was not dead and after a month the ygive it back to me in a dead condition. Who would be responsible for this and does it take a month to doagnise the problem.

                      I have an Acer 4520 but the problem is similar to yours .In your case the problem was intermittant in the
                      start but fortunately to your good luck it did not go dead in your hands. The root cause of the problem is
                      the Nvidia Graphic Card . There are two types of 4520 one with onboard Graphic and one with a slot where
                      a card like this http://www.ioffer.com/i/nvidia-graphics-card-geforce-88600m-gt-8600mgt-512m-mxm[... is attached. If you have a slot for the card then replace it with the one like this as it will work .
                      It is a known Nvidia Graphic Card weak die problem, if you do a google search you see that Nvidia openly
                      said it was a weak die cast problem.

                        Acer — screen blinking

                          i bought an acer e-machine on 30th dec 2009, in the newspaper add there was a reliance brodband+ free with a speed of 3.1 mb/sec with that but they cheated me they gave me a netconnect with a speed of only 230 kb/sec with pmnt of rs 1100. i hav mailed many times regarding this but no one replied me.

                            I had purchased an acer laptop on 3rd of Feburary 2009. model-travelmate 5730.within a few days of purchase i started having problems as it had a severe manufacturing defect. the screen used to turn white as i moved the screen of the laptop. earlier it did not happen that often so i did not pay the required attention. but later on when it started happening on a regular basis i went to the store where i bought it from. they said that this particular model has a manufacturing defect and since my laptop comes under the warranty period they would get it replaced for free. they did so. i got it back on 27th jan 2010 and on 31st jan 2010 i started facing the same problem . i want my laptop to be replaced by some other acer model since it is a manufacturing defect with no fault of mine. but the head of the store says that you cannot get it replaced.at the max you can get your screen replaced which takes 15 days. but after this incident i want that it should be replaced. since i have taken a loan to buy my laptop.I just want to have justice.please help me!

                            I joined KLE college, Bangalore for BCA course. They provided me with Acer Aspire 4710z Laptop. After 6 months it has started showing defects. The screen automatically turns white showing no signs of returning to normal display. All my classmates are facing the same problem. Some of their laptop are showing flickering screen. The warranty is for 3 years. Acer staff have changed the display screens of many students but it showing no change.
                            I had purchased a laptop model e-725 on 08/02/10. from the very beginning mother board problem, i had contact to nearest service center & within 10 days they change the mother board, then after 1 day i found there some problem in the key board again i go to service center, they take 15 days. can any one mail me address to complain for my laptop.

                              Dear All,

                              I am facing a very bad experience with my ACER Aspire 4810 laptop.

                              The keyboard impressions(Space bar is more because the height of space bar is more than the other keys) are came on the screen within one month(Design defect), I approached there service center(M/s. Vaibhav Solutions,Mangalore) and i got very rood reply that "this is normal and we cant do any thing on that".

                              Now the Hard disk and DVD drive is not working(4months old, DOP 01/09/2009), I given the product for service on 22/01/2010 at M/s. Vaibhav Solutions, Mangalore, and till today i have not got any positive reply from them.

                              Every time when i call the service center they will say "if we get the spare we can repair your product".

                              Then I spoke to company persons ( Acer,Bangalore Office on [protected]) and Ms.Reshma responded to me and she told materials have been dispatched on 25/01/2010. I called her again on 28/01/2010 because still the service center has not got the spare, then she told "sorry material was dispatched on 27th and you will get it on 29th".Today(29/01/2010) i called her, now again the same story "material dispatched on 28th".

                              They could not able arrange a HDD from last 8days.

                              I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED BY PURCHASING ACER

                              Please have a thought on service when you buy ACER.

                                    This is with reference to the Acer laptop - Model TM5730 (Serial Number: LXTQ20C[protected]C2000) I purchased in May 2009 from AACTIVE TINY LAPTOPS, Velachery, Chennai - 42, an authorized dealer for Acer laptops.

                                    From the onset, I have had problems with the LCD screen. It keeps flickering constantly. I have approached the service center on numerous occasions in the past year regarding this issue, but continue to face the same problem recurrently within a week after servicing. Being an engineering student, I require my laptop for my study and find it extremely difficult to cope with constant servicing and the delays therewith. The name of the servicing center is ORIGIN IT & FACILITY SOLUTIONS PVT LTD, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 41 (Ph:[protected]/35)

                                    The irony of this situation is, the first time I took my laptop to get this problem rectified barely a month after purchase, I was informed by the person at the service center that the model I had purchased had a proven defect with the screen - something the sales personnel at AACTIVE TINY LAPTOPS, Velachery, conveniently forgot to tell me.

                                    I request you to look into the matter with utmost urgency and direct the company to give me a replacement for the defective laptop that I have been struggling with from May 2009. My warranty expires in May 2010 and I will be grateful if this could be effected by then.

                                    This is to bring to you kind notice that I purchased one Acer Travel Mate 5730 Notebook for my daughter on 1st March 2009 vide invoice no VLC[protected] from VCL Infotech Pvt Ltd Janakpuri New Delhi 110 058

                                    I am also facing the same problem, kindly look into the matter as it is really difficult to work with such a problem.

                                    The Acer people only try to repair it temporarily, my daughter is in Jaipur doing her engineering, how can she move around there for getting this sorted. It takes so long after the complaint has been lodged. Twice they tried to rectify it but soon after same problem persists

                                    I have written to them several mails but no reply.

                                    Kindly help me with this product and I advice all others not to buy this. I dont understand if Acer knew there was problem with this model then why did they sell it.

                                    This is with reference to the Acer laptop - model No. Aspire-4810T Sr. No. LX PBAOY [protected] was purchase by me from your authorized dealer i.e Silicon Computers, Having office, Red Star Tower, Bandi Swami Road Civil Lines, Ludhiana.
                                    Soon after its purchase the laptop stated giving trouble in its operation. The complaint was duly lodged at your complaint call centre and technical support centre which refreshed the setting of the laptop on couple of occasion but the same defect continued. thereafter when the defect could not be cured, I also lodged the complaint at your authorized call centre bearing case I D No.[protected] on dt 15/2/2010 and your technical support advisor booked laptop at your authorized service centre at Ludhiana. It was mentioned therein that the window was not properly running and laptop hang up in regular interval with this complaint the laptop was deposited at your complaint centre but after keeping the laptop for a week the same was returned to me with the assurance that the defect has been cured. But its giving same trouble till now.

                                    I request you to look into the matter with utmost urgency and direct the company to give me a replacement for the defective laptop that I have been struggling with from it purchase and I will be grateful if this could be effected by then.

                                      I bought a laptop from chrome,pune (aser aspire 6930) in October for which they promised me one year warranty but now when I am facing a problem in my screen I went to them they said me to go to acer's service center. I went there and they are charging me Rs 12000 to give me the service for my laptop which is in the warranty period.

                                      please help me out to find a solution.

                                        My son had given his Laptop Model No. Aspire 4736 to Vashi (New Mumba) Service Centre for replacement of the defective LCD Screen on 5.12.09 and paid Rs.9,500/- towards the full cost of LCD screen.The service centre had promised to return back the laptop with new LCD screen within 21 days time.

                                        However, since then more than one month's time has elapsed but the LCD part has still to be received by Acer Vashi Service Centre. Inspite of regular follow up with their Vashi service centre and Andheri office, there is total uncertainty as to when they will receive the part. The response and the service is really pathetic. If Acer has a problem in getting its own laptop parts, then why they are selling the product in Indian market?

                                        The studies of my son are affected due to this and Acer people are not able to understand the urgent need of the same. At the first place Acer sold a defective product, LCD screen of which developed problem within 4-5 months of its use. Secondly, inspite of charging the full cost of the same in advance, they are not able to deliver the Laptop.

                                        Such type of attitude by a international brand towards its customers is unwarranted and a strict action is required to be initiated against them and they should pay the penalty for the delays in service delivery as well as causing loss of studies to a student.
