Adidas — Running Sport Shoes

I bought a pair of running shoes in August 22 that was about Rs 8000. The sales lady at the time told me that it had a warranty for 2 years and in case there is any damages within the warranty period, it will be replaced for free. I informed her that I live in Ireland so if there is any damages, would they be able to accommodate me? She reassured me that she could. But when my parents in Guwahati, Assam when back to the same store that I got my shoes from to complain about the damages in the shoes and show pictures as proof, the salespeople there said that they cannot issue a refund, replacement or discount of any sort without having the actual shoes at hand. They further informed that the warranty was just for 3 months and they cannot confirm that my shoes would be replaced if they do not have the damaged shoes at hand before the warranty period ends in 3 months. I think it is completely unfair as I was misinformed and after paying so much, the shoes are completely worn out within 3 months. It also not logical to post the damaged shoes through an international courier service as that would be really expensive. I would request you to look into the matter and issue me a reasonable solution.
