My self being a critical care anaesthetist staying bangalore was using religare health insurance policy from last four year and added my wife (Currently in gurgaon) also in same policy last year and never had any requirement or need of any claim until this month.
Last week[protected] my wife who is also md medicine got high grade fever with headache weakness and other associated symptoms. Being medico on symptom basis oral medications were started for fever and all and next day got investigation also done form medanta hospital to further evaluate.in view suspected fever - investigation for dengue, malaria, typhoid were done as these were quite prevalent during this season but all serology initial reports came negative except low total leucocytes of 2.5 thousand /ccmm count and platelet were also trending toward lower side.
In the mean time fever, weakness headache other symptoms were still persisting. On sunday[protected] night her weakness got worsened along with headache and sweating and was not able to eat or drink properly because of her current condition.
So she was referred on 17-09-17 night around 10:00 pm to medanta emergency medicine and was evaluated by the medicine team and she was advised admission on suspected acute febrile illness –with suspected swine flu and extreme weakness and headache. She was advised for intravenous fluids and intravenous medication she was not able to take feed orally in view of her poor health condition.
In the mean time pre-authorisation form for religare health insurance was filled as per requirement.
Investigation for swine flu was send along with other investigations. Swine flu serology report was negative but total leucocytes counts were still lower than the normal suspecting acute viral illness. Patient was kept on iv fluids and medication until she condition become better.
Explanation for admission as needed by religare insurance team was provided by the treating doctor in written explaining the need for intravenous fluid and iv medication requirement and need for further evaluation 18 th of september 17 which could not be done on opd (Out patient basis) basis.
As her condition improved she was planned for discharge on 20-09-17 by the treating doctor.
But during discharge religare health insurance claim team denied claim for hospital bill giving unjustified reason as mentioned below:
• admission not justified for evaluation purpose it could be done on the opd basis
• admission not justified
Tried calling the religare health insurance customer care that made wait for 20-0 mins online, every time i had explain the full story to them and wanted the claim team to justify the refusal of my claim. But to my shock they were not ready to provide the justification and keep on repeating the reason that patient could be managed on opd basis.
I wanted to know on what basis religare team claming that patient could be managed on opd basis when patient in extreme weakness could not eat or drink, then how could patient take oral medication when patient required intravenous medication and fluids to support.
How can religare team can explain that swine flu suspected patient can be treated on opd basis who needed isolation in hospital. Swine flu was ruled out only after getting admission only after testing for serology keeping patient isolated.
According to religare they want to create the epidemic of swine flu as per their policy by keeping suspected patient un-isolated on opd basis that is against medical treatment.
Since i have paid for the policy for last 4 year and being a medico, i got all the right to know the justification for refusal of my claim and right to know how could patient have my patient be treated on opd basis as per the religare claim team.
Since i was refused for any justification for refusal for claim by religare claim team, sending this email for justifiction for the same from religare greviance team and my cliam amount which i had to pay and problems faced due to inappropriate policy toward the consumers problems.

    Hello sir, my name is hemant deshmukh.
    On date 30/9/2009 i purchased a ulip plan of aegon religare company. At that time the agent tirath das committed me on behalf of company that my total investment is used to buy the units/shares. Not a single rupee shall be deducted in the form of commission/brokerage. After investing 3 half yearly installments when company provides me the investment summary. I got to know that in every installment a part of commission is deducted. When i visit to the company offc they refused about the commitment. As i stopped it instantly and apply to reimburse my investment. So the company only reimburse me a amount of 8000 on behalf of the investment of 18000.
    Take the suitable action against the company n refund my hard earned money so invested which is approx 10000 rs.

    I made previously this complaint in 2010 too. But still I didn't get any response n result.
    Hi, which ever company(insurer) issues life policy which is linked one with market conditions liable to up/Down, besides this there is a fund management charges will be deducted every year out of your investment. Your agent might have misguided that no deduction of any amount which is not hold good & valid just to sell the policy. You may refer terms & conditions of policy document in this regard. Further request for refund before maturity will be treated as surrender of policy & refund will be much less of your investment.

      With regards to above policy no, my mother - in - law was hospitalised in the month of june 2017 and we have submitted claim papers on 28.06.2017.
      But its been 2 months still we have not received the claim amount. Everytime your people call doctors for verification and after that no response from you.

      Currently i am not in country so my mother is continuously following up with your people. Because of such a laid back attitude we will think next time for renewing the policy.

      Please let us know the exact status and when we can get the claim amount.

        Dear sir It has been 60 days over from claiming the claim, my 4 month baby get burnt and everyday TPA and Religare is saying within this week it will be claimed but now after 60days Religare is saying we don't have paper with us and TPA prudentbroker says we had forwarded the papers, previously TPA was saying it is under process and need only 21 days to settle it.because the amount is very big from me, I had taken various loan and paying EMI and finance charges too. I would request to please take necessary action and help in taking reimburment amount and all finance and EMI charges paid by me due to this delay.

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I have made a payment of Rs. 8596 made towards I Term policy in December 2016 and still awaiting for my premium receipt. I had tried calling the customer contact number of Aegon many times and I could not get to speak to their representative.

          Generally, most of the insurance providers have the option to retrieve the premium payment receipt on their website. However Aegon Religare's website has no such link to download the receipt. The customer service to be improved and expecting a positive reply at the earliest. I needed the premium payment receipt for my tax purposes.

          Kindly do the needful.

              Unable to download e-statement of any..Need provisional tax certificate and consolidated premium receipt.really frustrated from past 2 years due to this issues. I will not recommend ageonlife to my friends and families due to even you cant manage your website.I am software engineer.I tried in firfox, chrome and internet explorer with pop up filter is off but no luck.Even you cant manage your website how you are going to provide claim if any issues.
              This is not going to read by management anyhow some executives will attend and reply.So I will post this in consumercomplaint as well.

                    I was sold the following policies from kapur with the assurance that this was a single premium payment and i would get my moeney after a lockin perod of three years. Now i have been told that the company management has changed and i have been running from pillar to post to get my reimbursement. Kindly if nothing else at least return my premium amount o me, as i have a medical emergency at home. If you like i can give you a cancelled cheque for the money to be deposited into my bank account. Presently i am no longer living in kanpur but now living with my daughter in pune.                         I had discontinued my insurance policy with Aegon religare/life. The refund was due in January this year. First I was informed that refund will be credited in my account in 10working days from completion of lockin period. Since two months I am followingup and every time I get information that refund is in process and commitment of transfer within few days. Its really painful experience.

                            I am Rahul Singh and I bought a policy from Bajaj Alianj through a agency net embit placed in Noida. Then agencies executive named Mr Kamal call me and told me about my profit share amount approximately 167000 inr and claim to pay its service TeX through a new refundable policy from Aegon Religare. After 2 month Kamal called me and told me about a different requirement for my profit share amount. He told me that I have to open a deemet account for this amount. And he demand a 16000 inr for this deemet account and told me its refund. Its a different policy issued to me on behalf of Aegon Religare. Now they are not picked phone. And then I complained to Aegon Religare but they decline my complained. My complained no is 2470618, 2470640, 2470628. Now they pressurized me to pay premium on time. But I can't able to pay these premium because of my 62000 inr is also dump in this froud. Even I provide some of call recordings to him and I have a lot of recordings but there site is not accepted big files to upload. But no one help me.

                              Have taken Aegon Life Insurance policy. It was said to me if i cancel it in freelook period, they will charge nominal amount say..500-700 and refund whole amount back in my bank account. But i have paid them approximate Rs.10100 and received refund of approximate Rs.4600. Now they say it is as per clause of policy. the breakup is provided saying, Medical charges, Stamp Duty, etc. Please help me to get my proper refund.

                                      I have received a call in Jan-15 from a person posing himself as a person from Governing Body of Insurance Council (GBIC), he told me about my LIC policies details (Policy numbers and premium amount) and said that Agent Code is applied on one of my LIC policy due to which I will receive 60% of bonus and remaining 40% will be given to my agent at time of maturity of policy. He then advised me a way to receive 100% bonus and get agent code deactivated from my LIC policies. To get agent code deactivated, he gave my number to another person named Gaurav Dixit (Mobile- +91-[protected], +91-[protected], Address: 7th Floor, Ashoka Estate Barakhamba Road New Delhi). Gaurav Dixit called me and explained me the procedure which is that I have to purchase one Traditional Insurance plan of AEGON Religare and I purchased one policy in my name. He also told me that I will be receiving Rs. 45, 000 as bonus on 30th April 2015 which is accrued till date. AEGON Religare Policy Details: Policy Purchased on 25th Jan 2015, Policy No:[protected], Amount Paid - Rs. 25, 000 via HDFC Bank Ltd's Cheque No. 17. In last week of Feb-15, I again received a call from Mr. Prithvi (Mob. +91-[protected]) posed himself as a senior officer from GBIC, he told me that they filed a complaint against LIC and I will be receiving a compensation amount of Rs. 2, 46, 890 because LIC has hide the information i.e. Agent code applied on my LIC policy. He also conference Gaurav Dixit and Kashish (Mob. +91-[protected]) and mentioned about this thing to Gaurav and Kashish. Now, they convinced me to take another policy of FUTURE GENERALI for an amount of Rs.50, 000 to get this compensation amount and they mentioned that this policy will be a refundable policy and its premium amount of Rs.50, 000 will be refunded to me within 30days of my compensation amount i.e. Rs. 2, 46, 890. FUTURE GENERALI policy details as follows: Policy purchased on 25th Feb 2015, Policy No. - T02127632/01249380, Amount Paid - Rs. 50, 000 via. HDFC Bank Ltd's cheque No. 19. Kashish and Gaurav Dixit told me that they have a fund management group namely Delhi AB Broker who manages funds of various insurance companies like AEGON Religare, FUTURE GENERALI etc. They said this group takes care of agent code deactivation process and manages the complaints on the same. When the due dates of Bonus (30th April 2015) and Compensation money (25th April 2015) approached then Gaurav Dixit and Kashish stopped picking my phone calls and responding to my messages. After my various attempts to get in touch with them one of their assistant picked my call and told me that both of them are in meeting, thereafter I called them after one day then the same assistant told me that Gaurav is in meeting and Kashish is out of town. Finally I decided to tell them that I will be lodging a formal complaint then their assistant said "GO DO IT". Gaurav Dixit and Kashish, these people are doing such fraud openly behind the names of companies like AEGON Religare and FUTURE GENERALI and they are still operating openly. These people have no fear of any Law and Order.

                                        Dear Sir/Madam, This is to inform you that I RITU V AJMERA have been cheated by a group of people from the INSURANCE GRIEVANCE DEPARTMENT starting from 13/01/2015. On 13/01/2015 I have been called by HIMANSHU SHARMA mobile no- [protected] from the grievance department from Delhi on my landline number to redeem old policies through them and get triple compensation. After that he handed over the file to OM PRAKASH PANDEY and later on to AMIT DESAI and later on KARAN MISHRA mobile no- [protected].They had my full information about all the life insurance policies I have done so far with policy number their status and from which department of Kolkata they have received with so much of knowledge they gave me fake promises and told me to keep this confidential because of tax laws and company-client privilege. HIMANSHU SHARMA told me perform few formalities to get back the old policies total money. He told me that the government of India has given license to Bharti Axa life insurance Company to get back your old policies money. They were a total fraud. They promised me approximately Rs 200000/- under 1964 insurance act after accumulating the total amount invested. They gave me an assurance of receiving a cheque of SBI between cheque dated 12/03/15-15/03/2015 (cheque no. 374063) amounting to Rs. 2000582/- which they were fully sure of. They told this a process of 90 days so KARAN MISHRA told me to be patient all this while. He assured me to do this policy for the sake of mere formality and do not have to run the policy at all. There was no consent from my side to do any of the policies. I am liable to mail this fraud incident to your grievance department, so please do the needful on urgent basis so that I will get my money as soon as possible.
