HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I don’t want any other person to go thru this kind of experience hence posting this review.

Few years back we moved household things from Bangalore to Chennai and had a very smooth professional service provided by Agarwal company. Keeping that in mind I called the Chennai branch. turned out to be a nightmare.

the agreement was packing and loading from 2 locations in chennai and drop at Salem. Household stuff were 80% already packed in boxes by us. The company folks had to only wrap up 2 Amirah, 1 fridge, 1 bed roll, 1 small cabinet, light cane sofa set (2 seaters 1; and 2 single seater) and 1 scooty.

Sunil had come for inspection and gave the quote. He noted down the list and thank God we had taken a photo of the same. (you will see shortly why i am mentioning this).

The team was supposed to arrive between 7.30 am to 8am yesterday September 4th. load from my sister’s hose in a 17 feet container, go to the second location and load pick up things. I had called both Vikas (the owner) and Sunil multiple times prior to Saturday to confirm timings.

the team arrived at 9.30am. 4 of them plus Deepak the 'supervisor'. even though we had already done so much of packing and had just left the main things for them, couple of the workers kept complaining of going up and down the stairs. there was a lift in the building. the attitude of Deepak was also so snobbish from the moment he walked in. They were all Hindi speaking and I had to keep mustering whatever little I knew of the language with them.

By 10.45 am we had already moved down the things and were ready to load. But no container in sight. When I asked when the container will arrive, I kept getting dodgy responses from Deepak. My sister had to surrender the house and catch the train at 2.30pm to Salem. It was already past noon. So we told Deepak to load the small tempo they came in with whatever that could fit, unload and come back a second trip. By the time the second trip was done, my sister had to rebook train tickets for evening train due to all the delay.

The container finally arrived around 4pm.

Worse part in all was the attitude of those who serviced us. There was no apology. Owner refused to pick up the phone when i called for container update, Sunil likewise, and Deepak with all his arrogance giving lies 'they will be here in 1 hour' etc.

The worst wasn’t over. The invoice had a bigger amount than expected. when I spoke with Vikas, he said that Sunil had the quote with different numbers. same Sunil who saw with his own 2 eyes 3 Amirah’s at evaluation time denied vehemently that it was only 2 in the quote. Finally, after sharing quote's picture, they agreed to the correct amount.
We were demanded tips for this horrendous experience and we paid them 1500/- (besides money for their lunch).

At unloading the 2 persons who were with the container were very careless. My sister had to scold them to force them to unload properly. walls were scratched, boxes all topsy turvey, a photo frame of our Guru broken to pieces, TV antenna which these guys didn’t wrap at all broken.

In summary, I will NEVER recommend this team to anyone. And it’s not that their price was cheap either. Chennai packers and movers gave a similar quote.
