Dear sir/madam,
I had booked tickets on 25/05/16 for my parents for journey date 15/07/16 from chennai to jaipur (Flight # lb634) in air costa airlines.
On 02/07/16 i have received an email/sms from air costa airlines stating that air costa regrets to inform cancellation of its flight lb634 maajai on 15 july 2016.
It was a planned trip and being senior citizens they avoid travelling in train. When i checked air fare for other airlines for the same day, i found out the difference of amount in between air costa and other airlines was about 200%. Hence, i requested air costa to reschedule the cancelled flight tickets to the next available flight for which they done the rescheduling for next day's flight lb634 dt. 16/07/2016.
As expected, on 09/07/16 i once again received an email/sms from air costa airlines stating that air costa regrets to inform cancellation of its flight lb634 maajai on 16 july 2016. I received call saying that chennai-jaipur flight has been cancelled and money will be refunded back.
I requested them that i want my parents to reach jaipur on the booked date and if they can arrange tickets from some other airline possible, or even a day before or after. But they didn't listen to my repeated requests and informed that the money will be refunded back which left me with no other option but to cancel my parents trip to jaipur.
Now since i have the cancelled ticket, i have not booked any ticket due to considerably high cost. It is beyond my understanding, what non sense game the airlines is playing here. I think i trusted the wrong airlines. I think this is not fair from their part.
I am yet to receive refund amount for the cancelled flight booking reference # 03owm as well as i am expecting compensation from the airlines for cancelling both flights which gave so much stress and mental agony to my parents. Was this information helpful? |
