I would like to formally document the frustration I endured due to Air India's apparent disregard for passenger comfort. Being a frequent Air India traveler, I find myself disheartened by the airline's operational practices.
My ticket for the November 9, 2023, 762 flight from Delhi to Kolkata was in the Business Class. However, just one hour prior to the flight, I received a call from Air India, alerting me to an aircraft change that now designated the entire flight as Economy Class. It is imperative that such crucial information should have been communicated to passengers at the time of booking, especially since I had paid for a Business Class ticket, only to be unexpectedly moved to Economy. I was given assurance that I would receive a refund for the fare difference, though I remain puzzled as to the method used to determine this difference.
My initial hopes of improved services with Air India after its acquisition by Tata have been dashed by this incident. Consequently, I intend to reduce my reliance on Air India for future travel as much as possible. Was this information helpful? |
