Air India — airline cancelled flight one week prior to travel date

We had booked air india carrier from Mumbai to bhuj dated 7th Feb 2019.

On 1st Feb 2019, i received communication from air India stating that they have cancelled the flight which we booked.

When called customer care, they told air India has stopped their operation from Mumbai to bhuj from 5th Feb till 11th Feb and asked us to consider changing trip date.

We had return flight and everything booked in bhuj from 7th the 10 feb and we couldn't take this option.

We had to book another carrier - jetairways for 7th feb and that costed us approx. 21000 more flight fare than we had booked earlier.
