Air India — compensation

The flight ai[protected] was delayed and i (Viqhar ahmed mohammed) with my wife (Hasna jabeen) and 6-year old kid (Kanzah afsheen) had a international flight air france (Af 0217) connection missed.
During my waiting time in hyderabad, i clearly asked the boarding officer that flight is almost 1 1/2 hour late is there still possibility left that i can make it to my connection flight.
He looks experience to me, so i trusted him and board the flight was took off almost at 11:30pm from hyderabad. The time i reached mumbai it was about 1:10 am a=and mind you i still haven't got my baggage from baggage area. Still i ran to air france counter and found that counter already close and they cannot board me to this flight anymore.
This was not good, all my scheduled planning got missed up just because of air india delaying their flight. I suppose to be report back on my job tuesday (19th sept), which i cannot make it because of air india.
Well, my struggle journey starts here now. Air france was not quite helpful, they just push me saying air india make ou miss connection flight go to departure and ask them to help you in this matter.
Well, i still requested air france that i already have did on-line check in please allow me to take this flight but they said, they cannot do anything to help me on this i have to go to air india counter and get some help.
Well here is my story begins. I ran back to baggage area, collected my 6-checking bags + 3 hand bags and headed towards air india departure counter. Let me tell you how ever reading this email, first off air india stuff doesn't have any courtesy with passengers. Very rude stuff. There definitely need training how to handle situation in this circumstances.
Off course i will not go into that now, let me focus explaining my trouble journey with air india. So, i reached the counter and explain the situation from the start what exactly happened and why i am here in front of them.
I told them how one of their team air india employee put the false statement in hyderabad by saying that i can make connection with air france without any problem. As they had already fax paper work to air france that air india (Ai 0051) running late and there are few passengers who needs have connection with them. That air india employee said, trust us you will make your international connection 100% as air india will expedite the process and make you to air france counter before time.
Well, as you all know till now, that never happened. So, i told all this to mumbai air india staff and they rudely said what hyderabad stuff said has nothing to do with us, now you are here so let's see what all option we have to re-book your from air india.
This is so not right, that lady & duty manager (Night shift supervisor + duty manager) both were not at all helpful in finding a way to re-book me with the earliest available flight rather they just said now i have to stay back in mumbai till 24 hours and they will book me on ai 191 flight which will leave next day (1:30 am).
I was keep requesting them to please look and see if they can give me any route available which can take me to us, as i am us citizen i have no problem taking multiple connection back to us, but please re-book me asap otherwise it will be big problem for me.
The outcome was same, they just ignored, so after standing in front of air india counter for almost 4 hours, duty manager came and when i requested with him again, he said the same thing if i want air india to help i have to take ai 191 flight. Off course they were ready to give me accommodation but that was not my priority. My priority was to reach united state and report to my job.

Well, after waiting for entire 4 hours with my 6 hours old sleeping on the cart where i kept my checking bags. This was so uncomfortable for my entire family. So, when no more helped me in anyway, i have to unwillingly accept their offer and i left for hotel (Residency).
This is not the end of my worst nightmare with air india. The actual struggle begins next day when i came back to mumbai airport from hotel.
The particular day it was heavy rain in mumbai since morning. Well, i was told that you need to leave early for airport as road may be jam and we need to make sure you don't miss your flight.
I thank them for thinking about this and we reached airport way early we thought. Well, that's not all at a problem for us, we were happy that we are going back to us as we have so many scheduled work and things to take care.
So, we already had our boarding pass with us from yesterday, so we still went to air india counter and explain them who we are and what had happened yesterday which is why we are boarding air india flight instead of air france.
At the time also no one told us that air india will not be leaving on time or such, the lady on that counter clearly said flight is on_time and you guys enjoy the flight.
We happily left the counter and cleared our immigration and approached to our assigned gate where ai 191 was parked and from where we suppose to get boarded in the aircraft.
Well, here is the scary part one of the air india employee came and said due to heavy rain this flight will not be boarding until tomorrow morning 11:00am. Wow, that was not right unethical and unprofessional. It was not that long that i came from air india counter and they have not said a single word about this re-scheduling the flight but once all the passengers had cleared their immigration, they had flash this news that ai 191 has been rescheduled and will board tomorrow morning 11:00am.
Well, we did got a news that mumbai airport was shutdown with no operation been performed. However, after sometime we have started hearing all kind of announcement from different carriers that they resumed boarding and in front o[censored]s all other carrier take off from same airport. What i told that time was maybe other carrier valued their passengers and they have kept their airline reputation by taking off air craft as soon as mumbai airport given green signal and all operations got resumed.
Now, i am not reaching to us on 20th sept as well because on 1st stage air india make me miss my air france and now this natural calamity, well i still blame air india as if they would have re-booked me on any carrier or any connection the same night i would have gone from mumbai long back but looks like they just want to safe some bugs and they hold me in mumbai for whole 24 hours so now i have to deal with natural calamity.
They came down and said, we need to wait until tomorrow morning 11:00 am but they have no arrangement to provide any accommodation to passengers. I have to sleep on that airport chairs with my wife and 6-year old kid. Next morning my 6-year old got 102 temperature and she was real sick. I end up calling airport doctor and got her treated. The struggle still was not ended.
Now, again air india officer came by around 10:00 am and said now air india will board at 5:00 pm, this is so stupid and sign of week planning. Well, this entire drama continues until next day 11:00 pm and after so many arguments and flights at least they board entire passengers around 10:00 pm (20th sept), but mind you they have not take off the flight until 1:30 am the same time when usually air india flight takes off.
Within this period of my journey in airport, my kid got treated 2-times by airport doctor and she was still unfit and week due to all the stress and not having enough sleep during this 2-days of stressful stays on mumbai airport.
I like to bring all this to higher authority in air india to read and understand this is not how air lines treat with their passengers, and when i was keep requesting to them that i may lose my job still on day-1 they have not done enough to help me to get me on any plan when on 1st place i missed my international flight because of air india delay in hyderabad.
My struggle haven't stopped here, as i mentioned earlier i had lost my 3-days in job addition to that because of all this hassle and ground i have to cover to take care of my family and going back and forth to pharmacy to get prescribed medicine for my kid as soon as i landed us the next day i got sick and on sunday i got admitted in er (Emergency room).
I hereby claim compensation for inconvenience caused to me during all this and during the flight.
