Air India — delayed receipt of luggage | |||||
I traveled with my wife from mumbai to calicut by air india on 6th may, 2017 with two check - in baggages. When we reached calicut one of the check - in baggages did not arrive which contained our dresses required for the marriage function next day morning. Therefore, we had to hurriedly purchase dresses from the local market costing about rs. 13000/- The short landed check - in baggage was handed over to us next day on 7th may, 2017 in the night time around 11.30pm. By that time the marriage function was over and the luggage containing the marriage dresses were not at all useful to us. We wrote to the ccj airport manager requesting him to reimburse the amount spent by us due to airlines mistake and carelessness. But in his reply dated 18th may, 2017, he refused to reimburse the amount siting delay in delivering the baggage due to traffic jam. The reply is not at all acceptable to us. Hence the unnecessary expenditure has to be reimbursed to us. Was this information helpful? | |||||
