Air India — Flight Delay Treated badly at the airport (Mumbai) | |||
Our flight was delayed for 9 hours, its the way that Air India management ( ground crew )did not handled the issues. 1) we were told at security check in that our Flight AI 131 was delayed till 12pm ( was due to leave 06-30 ) that's 5 Hours Delay we were not happy but had no choice. When we looked at the Flight Board it showed that the AI131 was on time ( nothing about delay or 12pm ) 40 minutes later I asked at the information desk no joy as he was unhelpful & I was told to see Air India staff for information, even he was not helpful.I was told that its 12pm. We were not given any breakfast we spent £10 on breakfast, than at 10.30 we were told its now delayed till 4pm. All the passenger were complaining wanted to speak to a member of management for answers we have recorded the evidence on our mobile & I Pad, we were all given excuses. Lunch was very basic and water was warm not cold. Lot's happen over 2 hours with Management & us. We wanted letters to say we were going to be Compensated because once we get back to London air India would do nothing at all, there were 3 x couples that had same problem last October 2014 & they had done every thing but got no reply or Compensated by Air India. In last 15 Year's Me & my wife have never had any problems with Air India, only problems that most people would complain. PLEASE look into this matter as we need a speedy answer and compensation. We both had to start our new jobs on Monday 23rd march 2015, as we did not land till 21.30pm on Sunday 22.03.15 we were not able to start till Tuesday 24.03.15. We would like 2 x return tickets to India or 2 x upgrade to business / first Class on our next trip to India as Gesture of goodwill this has not monitory value to Air India or lastly Refund of £600.00 as Compensation I know you will see this from my point, we do not want this issue for us to fly other airline in future as we are Indians and want to support Air India. I know lots more customer of AI131 who wanted us to handle this matter for them ( I have all there Tickets Numbers But I want to look after Number 1 That's ME. If you were to see the Video you would not believe how we were all treated. Please reply ASAP as we want to settle this matter ASAP, our request is not unreasonable.
