Air India — hassle during baggage check in

I want to draw attention of all, towards the misbehaviour of air india staff. The incidence was as under.

We had a flight of air india, ai 868, pnr zc862 on 23/06/2019 at 10.00 p. M., from delhi to mumbai.

We reached air port around 8.55 p. M.. We were 4 people. Me, my 2 kids, daughter (25 years), son (18 years) and my father (83 years). We all were having identity card in physical form, except my son. His i card was in our mobile. But security people were not accepting same and they guide us to go to some other gate. We went there. My daughter and my son were with the guard for security check and me and my father went for checking counter no. E. It was 9.15 p. M., we were on the counter.

We were approaching the counter, where one gentleman was sitting. I was showing our ticket to him, but at the same time, one lady staff from the other counter, named kurdeep kaur, came and said that now it is not possible, time is up. I said please allow us. I am having sr. Citizen with me. She told where are your kids. I said they are doing security check, by the time please process for boarding pass. We had already done web checking, through inter-net. At least for 2 o[censored]s. After conversation this, time was 9.20 p. M.. Now she was telling that now it is out of time, you cant go.

We are from defence background. I am also working in bank. By the time my kids were also reached but she did not allow us. I asked her to let me speak to your senior officer. She told me that i have already talked and he is not allowing.

I went to assistant counter and requested them for help, but they also said that only counter e staff can do the needful. During this time, we were receiving calls from flight also, to catch it.

Due to these type of staff behaviour and harrasment by ms. Kaur, we had to miss our flight and had to face huge loss. Financially, as well as mentally agony. I had to back to noida in late night, with my kids and my old father.

The behavior of staff was not at all customer friendly.in spite of old aged father, having defence background, they did not allow us to check, though we reached airport well before time and also had web-checked on before had. But that lady staff intentionally not allowed us to catch the flight.

I strongly oppose the behavior of such type of staff and want the air india authority to take strong action against this type of staff. They must be punished/dismissed from the public relation job.

Last further, the monetary loss of rs. 23000/- due to cancellation of ticket, cost of local transport of rs. 3000/- and booking of ticket for next day travel costing of rs. 16000/- may be reimbursed to me. Failing which, i will approach consumer court for the financial and mental agony suffered to my family.

Hope air india will take action immediately.
