I purchased two tickets for travel by air india with travel dates 12th sept 2019 and 13th sept 2019. Tickets were purchased through irctc web site online. Pnr - ymk0f and hrs1h. On personal reasons, i had to cancel the tickets, for which i approached air india toll free number [protected] on 14.08.2019. The lady officer who attended the call, after due cross verifications, promptly cancelled both the tickets and asked me to contact the agency for eligible refund. Unfortunately, i did not receive any sms or e mail from air india informing me the cancellation. After waiting for 10 days for refund from irctc, i contacted irctc when i was informed that the irctc is not aware of the cancellation as it has not been notified to them. Irctc asked me to make available the communication from air india cancelling the tickets. Thereupon on 24th night i again contacted air india in toll free number [protected]. Three officials on different occasions heard my point regarding non receipt of communication from air india confirming cancellation. Each one of them left the dialogue half way. To cut short the story, i am yet to get the required sms or e mail from air india to take up the matter with irctc. Please do the needful to send the communication.
