[Resolved] Air Pegasus — Complaint against Air Pegasus and Makemytrip | |
I had done the flight booking on Air Pegasus through Makemytrip. The details are mentioned below. Makemytrip Booking ID- NF[protected] Onward Journey- Bangalore to Goa. Date- Oct 28. Flight- OP-161. PNR- YGTI17 Return Journey- Goa to Bangalore. Date- Oct 31. Flight- OP-162. PNR- YGTI17 Total fare for 3 passengers= Rs 14, 259. This includes convenience fee of Rs 1050 charged by Makemytrip. On 13 Aug, I received a mail from Makemytrip intimating that Air Pegasus is cancelling most of its flights, but didnt confirm if my flight was cancelled. Hence, they suggested me to make an alternate booking. But, they suggested to wait to receive confirmation before cancelling my Air Pegasus flight. On 30 Sept, I received a sms from Air Pegasus that my flight was cancelled due to technical reasons. Later, I confirmed with Makemytrip, seeking full refund for same as I had already made alternate booking. Makemytrip told that they had not received information from Air Pegasus regarding refund. I tried reaching Air Pegasus multiple times but nobody responds on their customer care. Makemytrip says that they are waiting to receive refund from Air Pegasus and if I apply for refund now, I ll only receive the tax amount. In middle of this, I am suffering as this is my hard earned amount and I am not receiving any clear information from any source. Kindly help in this matter. This email is regarding the refund claim for your Air Pegasus flight.
We appreciate your note below. The current issue is not isolated to you but to many others who booked to fly on Air Pegasus through not only MakeMyTrip but other agencies including airline’s own website.
When you make a booking, the fare amount is transferred to the airline. When a flight is cancelled or when a passenger decides to cancel, the due amount is received back from the airline which we refund back to the Customer.
At this juncture, the airline has not refunded the due amount back to us and the entire industry is chasing Air Pegasus. We hope you will at least appreciate that we don’t run the airline. The situation of Air Pegasus is well known to all o[censored]s. What we can assure you is that Make My Trip is not holding your money and never will. The moment we get this back from the airline we will start the refund process. We also assure you once again that the issue is faced by all flyers regardless of where and who they booked their ticket from.
We are constantly asking the airline. We will begin refund the moment airline directs us to do so.
