Aircel — charging of bill after disconnection of no.

I was using AIRCEL postpaid no. [protected] which I was disconnected long back. All dues against the no. were cleared but after that also useless company harrising by sending bill on monthly bilss which is wrong.

I bought this matter in front of their vashi store people but they are more dumb that neone can imagine. They promise to reverce the charges but do not make any updation in their record.

Request you to please look into the matter & resolve this issue ASAP please.

This is a very strange situation, I would suggest you to visit the store again if possible and try and speak to the senior guys I am sure they are working on your request, it is by a matter of chance that things are not fixed in time.

Sir, you are taking this too seriously, after all GPRS is only a new concept introduced in our country and Aircel is probably taking a little longer to warm up with its efficient services, why don’t u simply approach your nodal officer in your area, since he has more grip over complaints he should be able to resolve yours quickly.

You are very correct.Recently I also bought a Aircel Sim and activated GPRS Rs14.
The speed is very very very poor.Airtel is much better.Worst part is when I called customer care he checked my settings then he said your setting is correct and He cannot do anything for the speed.It will remail the same (POOR).
Hence I disconnected my Aircel GPRS service after that.
Beleive me the rates are just to attract the youngsters.

Yes...It is really very slow...I was using dialy 25/- plan in Airtel (Maharashtra). Speed was very good...Download speed from sites, like songs.pk, was around 30kbps. But for the same site i am getting 1-2kbps in Aircel now...I switched to AIrcel because airtel has stopped 25/- unlimited plan recently.

Yes! This is really acceptable. I am using in chennai area. It is poor in speed. I call customer care but they are saying it is temprory network problem, It will correct within 2 days...But it goes upto two months. Yet not correct even now...#

Yes really aircel is poor in gprs speed. Actually i brought an aircel sim recently. I just gave a mail to customer care and they responded to my mail and they came to my house with their equipment to check the seriousness of the issue. The customer care guy stayed upto 1hour and accepted that speed is really slow i.e., 2kbps. I appreciate for their response. Aircel is trying to improve their network better than a datacard. Well this will take around 25days to work.
Coming to faults unlike other service providers aircel's network can't play youtube videos. And in its own home page yahoo search is not accessable.

in night i am getting a good speed almost in between 7-15 but it gets disconnected in just 1 minute.

Global Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is not regular internet like dialup system available with BSNL. GPRS is for phone browsing, and the computer gets connected through the modem in the cell phone. We should never expect a speedy connection in GPRS.
The connection speed through bluetooth may show to connect at 115 kbps, but the transfer rate will lie within 2 or 3 kbps only. If your main aim is downloading, use download manager softwares, it may be boost the downloading to some extent. But the page downloading cannot be increased, because gprs is shared through towers.

es, even I have taken Aircel GPRS 98/- plan. The speed is pathetic. I have used Airtel before and I also have Vodafone. I feel they are far more better than Aircel. The customer care when called up.. I had to wait for 30 mins to reach him after which he started blaming the website from where I am dowloading. Inspite of telling him that I have been using this download site through other ISP and the download is far better, it seems that the customer care did not have better explanation for it and went on saying the same thing. Finally he was convinced and said that he cant help me. I asked him to take a feedback on the service that is being provided for which he gave me a complaint no.[protected]. aircelgprs rs.98 is not un-limited.they provide this plan under FAIR USE POLICY.this means after u reach certain limit, say 2GB/MONTH, they put cap on ur connection.thus ur speed drastically reduce and becomes 1kb-2kb.so actually they r cheating us by using the word UNLIMITED.never opt for MONTHLY & YEARLY PLANS.

The aircel speed sucks but then the price they are charging according to the speed is pity decent. Its so cheap and so is their speed

I m using a aircel no [protected] from last two months, and i never got the proper service on gprs, even i complain many times, post a mail, they assure that problem will be solved but no use they even call me many times but no use. I want to say them that dont worry soone or later all ur user will switch to others as soon as nomber portability will come into effect.

I think you will not have to make use of the number portability my friend, why don’t you visit the nearest Aircel store they will solve the issue in no time. You shouldn’t have waited for two months facing this problem.

I purchased an aircel connection ([protected]) for internet,when I contacted custommer care for activation of internet I was told about the speed of 140 kbps and when I connected and checked the speed.It was merely 5 to 10 kbps.I am using this no. in Delhi. The compny should go into this.

Friend I have been using the Aircel GPRS for a while and it gives a very good speed, 40-60 kbps. Why don’t you try to reset your GPRS settings I am sure the speed will improve

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am rechargge Rs.98 for one month GPRS plan on 02.01.2010 but I am using properly only 2-3 days then after GPRS not working on my mobile & PC. Icon for connection showing on PC but page can't displayed during page surfing.
I am registered the complaint in GPRS Dept. they are give the closed date 18.01.10 but at the last my gprs plan date finished still the date problem was not solved by the gprs dept.
I am requsted them for give the one week extra perioed because due to the problem I am not use the GPRS whole the month.
after of end of the month 01.02.2010 I am using GPRS one Hr. that time it work and after closing it from my prepaid account 61 Rs. deducted.
I am request you pl. refund my 61 rs. as the whole month of january due to the internet Peoblem I can't use the internet service.
Pl. take care one thing if any one is recharge 98 vaucher for GPRS & the whole month he can't use the GPRS due to your technical reason and in the month peoblem was not solved then what the user will do? what is the use of GPRS?

The speed of Aircel GPRS is very poor. Most of the times it seems a very big deal to get connected with the GPRS. Also while downloading any image, or music or anything; it takes long time and very often it disconnects giving "Network Error." I believe that using Aircel GPRS is worthless and misuse of Money.

Aircel Offers internet services cheapest in the market but there is no doubt that its also one of the worst in market when it comes to speed. So throw out your Aircel Connection and take Airtel as it is more expensive here in kolkata (Rs.35 for 24 hours), but offers great service in GPRS category. well, i have used Airtel, vodafone and Idea before switching to Aircel.. and believe it or not, all these service providers have given me the same performance for GPRS . here in pune i'm getting a very stable download speed of 20-30 kbps. what more do i need ?? 14 bucks for 3 days sounds a good deal for me. Actually, cheap as hell. i used to get a speed of around 70kbps on my airtel but that was very rare. verry verry rare. So i think Aircel is providing a decent service regarding GPRS.

20-30 kbps...?? Its impossible... As per the customer care executives they are providing 53.6 kbps downloading speed, ...& thats a wrong message they are providing to us. I m using Aircel for the last 6 mths or even before than that. i m getting speed 1-4 kbps. But pretty interesting, its downloading speed is very fluctuating...sometimes 10-15, sometimes 35 kbps & after a moment its speed reduces to 0.1-1 kbps...

Let me know, in ur handset what is coming G or E when it is connected to pc? The guys getting E, will get more speed cause they are connected to edge network... even if the speed is not gettable, then call cust care & have a complaint. Give area details & they will send technicians to work over it... I m waiting for this as i received a call from them today morning that they are working over it.

speed of aircel will depend upon your nearest of aircel tower at now aircel towers are capable of edge i.e., speed of max20-25 KBPS (200-260 kbps) min of 1-3KBPS(15-30kbps)
there is no wrong from the aircel they are fair you all are wxpeting more i.e.as cable broad band which is of 3G speed so leave expextation in your 2G phone which have less capacity

Aircel — Save Tiger

In the recent ad of aircel they have promoted to save tigers. I dont understand this idea of promoting themselves and spending lacks of rupees. In a recent survey it was found that about 180 childs died because of malnutrition. Here we need to save our species first and then focus on saving tigers. In a country like India, children dying because of lack of food and this company is promoting to save tigers and spending lots of money.
How many o[censored]s get a chance to see tigers daily but we see hungry childs here and there. It only cost Rs.20 to feed a child for one time which I don't think is a big deal.
I am not complaining about the Aircel company but we need to think about it.

You are quite true when you say that children are dying out of hunger. Several organizations are working on this and many are joining hands but at the same time we cannot ignore the fact that our national animal is on the verge of extinction. Hence we should appreciate the efforts of Aircel. At least someone has taken the initiative to make it happen and a lot of people are joining this initiative which is great to see.

yes i agree, i am using aircel sim for gprs connected to pc. its data transfer is vary widely.The aircel company should clear customers query, how much browsing and download speed can get. I've been using GPRS since 2003, before i used Airtel and i was happy with it services.. Airtel always had better speed than Aircel.. but due to unlimited downloading had stopped in Airtel i had to switch to aircel ( & maybe coz of its awareness on save our tigers, i was touched by that so had a go for it).. i m very disppointed with aircel.. its browsing speed is merely 4-5kbps and downloading speed sux as well.. many of the above suggest to use 3G phone i'm using E63/N95/N97 mini..but the speed remains the same.. handset can't do much i[censored]r network provider does not provide u good service.. so its all upto aircel.. i have switched back to Airtel now and happy with it 25/- a day is worth a give, atleast u get downloading speed around 35-40kbps during day!!

Well it’s true that the connections get affected when we travel depending on the network tower density in the area. I guess this is a problem with all the Operators, not restricted to Aircel alone.

I am an Aircel subscriber but have been forced to revert to my previous mobile service provider because of very poor coverage and great difficulty in locating Recharge points in the Palai Town of Kottayam District!
This is a very sorry state of affairs considering the fact that I have searched the whole town for recharge centres only to be advised that the nearest one is in Kottayam town another 25 km away!
This is totally unacceptable!

Yeah, its true. With the recent launch of 1 paise plan from Aircel, i decided to buy one but i was told by the retailer that the connectivity is very poor in our area, Thrissur (East Kodaly). ALso, unknowingly several of my friends bought new Sim Cards of Aircel attracted by the 1 paise plan and now its of no use to them. Please, please I am requesting Aircel in order to achieve better advertisement results, can u please plan on finding a solution to these problems. Can u work on providing good coverage in all areas. I believe Aircel is the best and they can stand up to any competitors in the industry but they need to be more proactive. They should understand that offers without coverage is of no use and if they really want to sustain in Kerala, they have to do things diffrently.

I'm an aircel user in calicut... I agree that aircel is providin a vry gud tariff...But the connection has very poor coverage... The pocket internet connection(it shows that the connection is EDGE) is very slow than GPRS connection provided by other connections... It is not comparable to EDGE connections of other companies... Tariff plans & other value added services such as pocketinternet are really a wonder foryouth like us:but with the range out of our area of residence that to in thecapital is very disappointing revalation.

There is lack of Coverage in many parts of Kozhikode. While taking the connection, I was told Aircel is having network wherever BSNL is having network, since they are sharing the towers. But I am not getting Aircel signal in Mavoor location eventhough I am able to use BSNL.

Hope Aircel will clarify or rectify the issue.

Aircel connection has a lot many attractive offers in kerala but the coverage in athani (poikattussery) is so poor. Range is varying throughout...No consistency in coverage. . Sometimes it wont detect the nearest tower but wil detect the distant one. .When u attend a cal de coverage drops down again...These r the salient features of aircel..These problems are faced in karakkattukunnu, and sometimes while moving in car even in the heart of the city..

i bought 2 Aircel sims having 500min free calls every month from calicut.i stay at vatakara, calicut dist.There is no coverage here..

I applied the form on 7/4/2011 at Aircel Gallery in Borivali (W)
which is near by to station. I live in Virar from there i came to Borivali to submit a form
1 time i went there i reached at 8:02 pm at that time the half door was open i asked security i just wanted to fill
the form and submit so he just no you cannot go in then he went to call manager out he came he gave me the form
he told me fill this form and carry along with you tommrow next day i came and i submited the form
and he commited me that it will activate within 7 days but still i am waiting is this the way you treat a
new customer even i haven't recived any call from you or any sms that it has been delayed atleast you should
inform the customer. I dont know what is wrong so better i you are going to convert my service then let me
know or else there are many telecom company who provides good service.So try to improve in your service

A bull service. I am trying to call the customer service number on 121 since last 10 days, but it does not gets connected. The IVR is set as (All our customer service representative are busy on another call, please hold the line or try back later) then it gets disconnected saying (Thank you calling aircel). The biggest bull service. 198 does not gets connected and if by chance it gets connected, no one speaks. Today I tried 10 times continuously and fortunately one guy picked my call. When I told him that I have Internet issue, he is asking me whether I got free Internet? I said I am using this number ([protected]) for more than a year and its a post paid then how will I get it free? he replied I cannot trace your number as its a post paid and this help line (198) is only for prepaid. Another shocking answer. He asked me to visit aircel store which I am not sure where is it? He asked me to type Store with my pincode and send it to 121 an disconnected. Can I get an answer for this ?

Is it possible that you did not unsubscribe to the hello tune facility and its only got carried forward to the next month? One has to unsubscribe to be able to stop the service. Just unsubscribe to it by visiting your nearest Aircel showroom or simply call Customer Care and tell them exactly what you need.

Perhaps you're a fag yourself, based on your language i'll presume that. Aircel Internet is too slow, that remains a fact even during non-peak hours- it truly sucks!!. Aircel has promised and advertised otherwise. This should be part of a sound business plan while offering unlimited surfing capability for a paltry amount. Aircel should have foreseen the usage surge, even a 3 year old can imagine that. The service quality SHOULD NEVER be compromised just because offer is good, if it does it certainly amounts to deliberate beguiling of consumers and should be punishable under consumer law. When people buy the product from a vendor they buy the trust alongwith, and more than product it is the trust that makes the product sell in the first place, hence once again this amounts to betrayal and false promotion of their ability to provide the requisite services.

Have you tried writing in your complaint to the nodal officer? Go to the aircel website and get the contact for your area, they can get you at the quickest.
Or you can also just drop in at the nearest aircel store for faster escalations….

I had vodafone 899 connection... in peak hours sometime speed remained 4-5 KB/s but most of the time i got speed of 14-20 KB/s... Now i switched to aircel 98 Rs pack... speed is pathetic throughout the day... bt even though much cheaper so cant complain ;)

I use aircel internet in Karnataka in Bangalore n Belgaum areas.. but i get a constant speed of 8 to 12 KBps which is the mobile limited internet connection .. if at all you want a higher speed go for broadband..

I even watch videos with this speed it takes 2 min for 1 MB which i guess for a mobile is a decent speed.

As i have used the connection both in windows n fedora(linux) i would definitely recommend for Linux. the connection is fast n it won't disconnect in between never disconnects

And for 98 rupees one month unlimited its a far better than any nearest rival..

8 KBps is the max you can get for 2G connection its the dial connection speed of 64Kbps.

For those who get the connection disconnected in windows try using USB or connect using the Bluetooth PAN not dialup... The dial up disconnects with airtel as well as aircel... n windows sucks big time

above i told 8 to 12 KB ps equals 64 to 96 Kbps...

If Network is busy try after 15 min or so... n try to use during non-peak hours.. i m writing this using the mobile connection. :)

Hello friends, i m using aircel prepaid and have recharged wid Rs. 98.00, its speed is good not bad, i can check my email ID.I am using nokia N78. while browsing, after certain time the message has come on the screen i.e. " Service is Temporarily Unavailable " at everytime from last few days, but It disconnects automatically.
Plss give me solution and Hepl me...

Yes, speed is slow. But, sometimes is awesome too. You are just complaining seeing the service you are provided to you. You are paying Rs98 that is $2 and you are given unlimited data transfer. Its really good in a developing country like India. My download speed is (average)15KBps i.e 120 kbps (using Aircel). I am satisfied with it, but, i agree that the speed is not constant-that becomes a pain sometimes.

aircel intrnet speed is very high compared to aircel those who r experiencing low speed they may be unlucky bcoz of low network coverage so i[censored] dont like it u may change it i m getting downloading speed from 28kbps-37kbps no other company offers such an offer in97 rupees unlimited browsing and downloading u [censored] off next time think and tell about it

Hi friends i agree that the aircel pocket internet speed is slow but it depends on the distance between the mobile and tower if it is on some national highway road it carries a max speed of 28kbps but i[censored] r sitting in ur bedroom its speed will be not more and my net speed in my bedroom is only 3 kbps
i suggest u to use DAP to increase ur download speed, , , but for the browsing no one can help kindly change to other services..

The changed handsets are lg cookie kp500i, motorola em30 and now i am using Sony Ericsson K750i. I'm frustrated to this slow speed.

hey guys aircel is not that much bad.. m using it for last 1 yr, m using it only for internet purpose. i use use net on my phone as well as via ma laptop n touch wood its givings nice speed.. i mostly open 3 to 4 sites at the same time n they never take more than 2 to 3 minutes to open all the sites together. i use heavy sites too, they take another 1 mint to open n its really easy to configure on the laptop. its realy nice using aircel. i always remain online at facebook n orkut 24x7 n also use net via ma laptop daily 2-3 hrs. wat more do u expect u'll get in juz rs.98 a mnth. airtel n tata n other broad band charge rs.600 to rs.2500 to provide high speed. see the price diffrence n u'll be satisfied with aircel. obviously u cant get speed in mb's in juz rs.98.. i like aircel n a proud owner of aircel connection. thnx aircel..

an unlimited connection is generally slow compared to limited plans. even bsnl broadband provides download speed of 256kbps at the unlimited plan, whereas its 1.5-2 mbps in limited plan.. its a business tactic, they dont want the consumer to download huge amount of data, otherwise the network would b jammed or hamper the call service n msg.. even m fed up with the speed of aircel pocket internet's speed, but what to do, its unlimited!!

While getting the connection, I have submitted all the documents and photograph with correct billing address and mention my landmark also.But till today i didnt receive my soft bill.Every month i ask frm Cellcity & pay.Always that cellcity peoples telling cum & get copy of bill it is for my job ah... I am a native of New Kajaria Colony, Jasidih, dist-Deoghar, Jharkhand and for the past one month my whole family life has become misreable due to the noisy generator set installed by Aircel behind my house. The genetor operates 24 x 7 and has ruined our peaceful life. Due to the generator set the whole building keeps on vibrating which causes inconvinience to the whole family.
