[Resolved]  Aircel — Harassment call for money recovery

Hi, my name is Gaurav. I was using this Aircel Post Paid Connection, which started in 2014. I had certain network and billing issues with the company for which I enquired with the customer care department several times but it went unresolved. Then I started receiving calls for non-payment from the company's collection department and the collection agents from the company's end used to be very harsh and abusive on the calls. Then, I asked one such executive for the call escalation to the senior staff of the company and I was told that nothing can be done. Then today, i.e., 30/12/2014 at 15:42, I got a call from [protected], where the person on the other line said " I am SI Manoj Kumar from Tis Hazari Court and I have recieved a warrant against you. So will you come to Tis Hazari Court by yourself or shall I send a PCR at your residential address", then I asked in which context the warrant was issued, and then he directed me to Advocate Mr. Rajender Sabharwal at his mobile number, i.e., [protected]. Then I called up to Mr. Rajender Sabharwal and he told me that a case has been registered against me in context to Fraud against Aircel. Then I enquired about the details, but Mr. Sabharwal was unable to answer the queries. Then he told me that I have to pay Rs. 7542 as my dues towards Aircel, which includes certain legal charges as well, so when I enquired on the legal charges, he did not provide me the information on it. Also I informed him that I have not received the notice on this action either through postal service or email service, then he told me that you may come to the Judge and he will show you as to who received the notice. Then I asked him as to what I have to pay and he discounted me Rs. 542 out of the total Rs. 7542. Then he told me to pay the amount withing half an hour, else the police from the Tis Hazari Court would take their action. Then I connected the call on conference with SI Manoj Kumar and then Mr. Sabharwal asked him to wait for half an hour till I make the payment. Later I requested Mr. Sabharwal to give me some more grace time and he granted me time till tomorrow morning 11:00 hrs, i.e., 31/12/2014 11:00 hrs. Then I checked online and found the same has been reported on this forum by Mr. Gopal (ref. to the same is this link, i.e., http://www.consumercomplaints.in/aircel-fraudulent-call-for-money-recovery-c9372... ). Later, while scrolling the page down, I found that several people are victims of such Harassment Calls. I thereby request this forum to make my plea reach to Aircel Company as soon as possible and help me come out of this mess. Also, there is one more point on this, a few days back, I recieved the bill for the same number, which states that my due date to make the payment is 03/01/2015 and the amount mentioned on that bill is Rs. 1242/-.vide Bill No.[protected] Bill Date 19/12/2014. Therefore, I end this detail by once again requesting the company to stop making such harassment calls to the customers. This would eventually degrade the company's market value.
