I recharged a 3g plan for rs 444/- online from a website Paytm.com as usual. There has never been a problem before while recharging via this website.
The 444 plan is said to provide 6gb 3g data to customers valid for 90 days.
Anyways, i got a successful recharge confirmation message from the website in my registered phone. Also i got notified that an amount of rs 444/- has been deducted from my bank account.
When i started downloading a file of around 2GB it was all ok, but after having downloaded just 800 MB, my download stopped abruptly, and so did my browsing. I was completely clueless about the happenings because if the recharge would'nt have been a success, how could it be that i could download 800mb? Moreover, i checked my SIM before the recharge and i was absolutely sure that the net balance was ZERO. I was completely horrified about my amount that got deducted from my bank account. Frankly, Rs 444/- is not at all a small amount for me, specially if it was used for an internet recharge.
I called the "CUSTOMER CARE" and these are the weirdest responses i got from the N number of calls that i made. :
>Please insert the SIM with the issue in a cell phone and then call customer care.
>Please dial 121
>Please dial 198
>Please dial 121 followed by 323
>Please dial 121 followed by 6 and then 7
>"Sir, you haven't activated 3g in ur SIM...Oh wait!!! U actually have activated 3g"
>"444 provides 6gb data for 3 months, 2 gb per month AND NOT 6GB instantly!!!"
>Please wait, i will hand over your call to my senior expert"- (After this there was a half an hour silence, i kept on saying "HELLO...HELLO...it seems as if they left me hanging, waiting so that i may hang up the call from my side)
MY COMPLAINS ARE:
>If your CUSTOMER SERVICE has employees like the once i faced...you are lucky u aren't at this side of the phone line. They aren't trained...being WELL TRAINED is out of the question. they SIT AND TALK AS IF THEY OWN US...!!!
>I know my recharge was successful, because if it woudn't have been, HOW DID I DOWNLOAD 800 MB even from the same number????? And if that is so...WHERE IS THE REST OF THE 3G data??? because 444 was deducted from my BANK ACCOUNT.
>I want my money back either in the form of refund to my bank account OR a successful recharge to my AIRCEL NUMBER: [protected]
I HAVE ATTACHED THE PHOTOS OF THE SUCCESSFUL RECHARGE MESSAGE THAT I RECEIVED IN MY CELL PHONE JUST MOMENTS AFTER RECHARGING FROM PAYTM.com. THE DATE IS : 10th November 2013 and the time was 12:33 AM.
Playing with our money may make you RICH...not successful. If you are "THIS", you shouldn't react if an enraged customer shouts back.
