Airtel has charged me for mobile being turned on while in international roaming.
I went to a near by country for business work and after reaching switched on my phone after reaching the airport. I got a message saying, to activate international roaming, send message to some xyz number - which i didn’t.
Later i tried to login to free internet at the airport, did some messages and took a local connection.
After my return i saw some message saying international roaming was activated on your phone, and i raised my concern on it and got a reply that made me feel there is nothing to worry about my bill.
But when my bill cane, airtel has charged me 1000 inr for some auto activation package and when i am debating it, they are saying if we don’t activate this you will be charged 13400 inr
To add, they triggered my auto payment sooner then the usual date.
I want someone to help revise my bill and take away any charges that are incorrectly levied on me under international roaming.
When i didn’t ask for it, i am not going to pay for it.
Please help.
