Pathetic delivery services ever!!
As per the sms from amazon, product was supposed to be delivered on 9th oct.2016. However, this being weekend i had to go out for household stuff. Hence understanding the situation proactively tried reaching the delivery agent to advise about the same.
After myriad attempts to reach this fellow, he didn't pick up the call. Later, i informed the customer care, where i was ensured same will be communicated to the agent.
However, on same day around 7:50 pm, delivery agent calls me up and asking to collect the product in person and that too some 1 km away from my house. When i asked him has amazon stopped doorstep delivery, he replied its raining and could not deliver same. So better i should come out to a place of his convenience and collect it. Later on when i refused his tone started rising high.
Immediately same night i informed the incident to customer care rep, where i was ensured some action will be taken. Post which i spoke to them multiple time, all in vain.
I was promised that the same product will be delivered on 10th oct which never happened. And in night i received text message from amazon that delivery attempt was done but not delivered due to unavailability of customer.
Surprising to know that i was not available!!
Another hallelujah moment, when i re-connected with this agent on monday (10th oct) asking he why didn't deliver and made false claim about my unavailability. He mentioned as i was not ready to collect it, he sent the product back to the seller!!!
Conclusions:
1. Multiple times i have been treated this way by amazon delivery agents. No body cares.
2. Delivery agent not adhering to any process. They don't update the exact status of product's delivery.
3. Agents speak in a very unprofessional manner to the customer.
4. If its raining for the agent, isn't it raining for the customer as well. Then why does amazon claim providing doorstep delivery service.
5. This or any other buy was never cod. This means amount was paid already. So why this kind of treatment to the end customer.
6. I were told as i didn't collect on his terms and conditions, my product was sent back to the seller!! Professionalism is on its peak!!
Dear amazon, please don't forget to check the phone or email records between us!!
This was the last transaction i had with you guys. Believe its never going to happen again as i am refusing to be your customer.!!
