Amazon India — Refund denied for wrong item sent (got women's kurti instead of Brass idol )

Ordered a Radha Krishna brass idol, but recieved a kurti .
Returned the item mentioning that wrong item sent.

When enquired for refund. I was told not refundable as original item was not sent back.

Now I have lost my money and also faced embarrassment cos of the wrong item sent

Amazon, please look into this and be transparent.
