Ambrane India — Issue was with the laptop, not the cable

I use the RCTT-15 for transferring large video files between my laptop and external SSD. Speeds were fine on my personal laptop but felt much slower on my older work laptop with the same cable and SSD, so I contacted support expecting a replacement. They said about the USB controller and explained that some older USB-C ports don’t fully negotiate the 480Mbps speed and can fall back to slower modes. After checking further, the cable itself was fine and the port was the limitation. Not what I expected, but it made sense. It has been reliable on my new laptop.
