Ambrane India — Simple socket switch fixed it

On my first night in the dorm, I plugged my laptop charger into the ATA-03 and noticed a tiny spark at the socket. I panicked and unplugged everything immediately. I called customer support, who asked whether I was using a regular 230V outlet or a shaver socket. It ended up being a shaver-only socket with different earthing, which isn’t meant for higher power devices. The adapter itself was completely fine, I was just using the wrong socket. Once I switched to a proper wall outlet, it worked without any issues for the rest of the semester.
