I have resigned in protest at the grave injustice done against me, by the Acting VC Balvinder Shukla, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava and Dr. Alka Munjal, in not allowing me to give presentation before Promotion Board, the details of which I have already communicated to University Authorities, via mail dated 6th November, 2013. even after the lapse of a month since the resignation, I had failed to receive any acknowledgement from the Authorities. This was despite the fact. despite of the fact that I have spent seven precious long years of my life with Amity University, where I worked hard in different capacities, and fulfilled multiple duties with great enthusiasm, zeal & motivation & which has been appreciated by my fellow colleagues and higher authority of my department. My grievences viz. harrasment and not recognizing or appreciating my efforts, hard work and loyalty. when the harassment had crossed all barriers and I became helpless, then I submitted my resignation. Gratuity and other dues is my right and non payment of gratuity attracts penal provisions under the payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. I should be paid Gratuity. Despite I mails, the payment has not been made to me. Dr.Kanwal D. P. Singh forced me to evaluate the answer sheets out of 70 instead of 60. 3. That the sheets that I evaluated out of 60, were erased with whitener and instead 70 marks were overwritten. 4. Although I evaluated the answer sheets under such pressure, yet I protested which hurts the ego of Dr.Sanjay Srivastava and an inquiry was set up only to satisfy the ego of Dr. Sanjay Srivastava. 5.That Dr.Alka Munjal proved that to comply with the decisions of the Director & Dy.Director with out questioning was against the rules of the University. 6. Dr. Alka Munjal continued to scold & scream at me, until I wrote whatever she wanted. Please find attached the proceedings of the Inquiry Board. 7.Not only my increment was withheld but also I was not interviewed for the promotion. Who is an academician ? I was having a very successful career in Literature, with many publications to my credit, I pursued LL.B. in the interest of the Legal Hindi, on the advice of Director Sir. I also wrote a book on legal Hindi. In an interview to Hindustan Times, I gave all the credit to the Amity University. I sacrificed my career of Hindi Literature for the Legal Hindi. I was taken aback to hear the poignant remark of Dr. Alka Munjal that it was for my personal growth. Dr.Munjal also satisfied her ego by hitting the dignity of the Director Sir. I am working here since 2006. I witnessed all the positive & negative points. It is strange that the ego of the authorities is prevailing over the academic interest of the Amity University. I am not required to prove my sincerity & dedication before any one. Every person will get the path according to his own karmas and capabilities. Only God is the giver and my own consciousness will show me the path. I did not want to quit with out communicating you the prevailing injustice in University administration, for then I would not have any answer to the History. I am grateful to the the great academician Maj. Gen. Nilendra Kumar who inculcated in me and every sincere faculty and staff of ALSN the leadership qualities, the administrative and academic capabilities & inspired me to pursue the legal Hindi field in the interest of the Institution. Thanks God! Sir, I have discharged all the duties of this semester. As far as the evaluation of answer sheets of external examination is concerned, it is noteworthy that in the previous semester, the answer sheets were evaluated by 10th (Hindi) pass faculty members.Therefore the same process of evaluation by 10th (Hindi) pass faculty members may be adopted this time also. That, more over, I was not afforded an appropriate opportunity to place the facts on record, before the Inquiry Board led by Dr. Alka Munjal. I strongly feel that I was selectively targeted, leaving all the concerned members unexamined, which otherwise could have thrown light on the issues involved and shown me as totally innocent. That It is unfortunate that even after the lapse of a month since the resignation, I had failed to receive any acknowledgement from the Authorities (except one today). Subsequently I had sent a copy of my exit interview questionnaire to you. I had forwarded complete details and documentary evidence in support of my case. I was already a Ph.D when I joined ALS Noida. With due humility, I claimed that no other faculty worked with as much devotion, loyalty and hard work. My academic work, duties for Sangathan, QAE, Cultural, Fests, Debate, Hindi Moot are on record. I took batch of students many times to NDTV to enhance the name of Amity. I am proud that you had presided at the function for release of my book in presence of a serving Judge of Delhi High Court. I am happy to state that my training and above experience has helped me in a job with over 33 percent salary raised apart from accommodation and promotion. Programmes and studios, Educational tour of Law Students, Time Table management, started legal debates and moot court activities in Hindi, in ALS, Noida that gave a high value addition in placement to students, authorship of highly aulaimed books. 6- Your career aspirations, met in the University No so far. Although I am still hopeful. 7- What was the occasion or event that prompted you to look for an alternative? a) Subjective and indicative enquiry by Dr. Alka Munjal. b) Totally authoritative and non academic attitude of acting VC. 8- What were the parameters you considered while accepting the new assignment? a) Growth opportunity. b) Recognition of merit. c) Suitable monetary rewards. 9- Would you refer your family and friends to work for us? Yes, being hopeful that my humble suggestions will be looked into and suitable implemented. 10- What was your HOI’s / HOD’s response when you broke the news (of quitting) to him / her? He tried his utmost to convince me to continue in ALS, Noida. 11- What are things we do well and should continue to do so? a) Founder President has a great vision. b) Guest lectures. c) Innovative competitions (AIM, ACLR, AQCL, AHLD) and another event organised by ALS, Noida. 12- Will you rejoin the University in the future? Yes, if injustice done is corrected and remedial actions taken by way of - a) Cancellation of disciplinary award ; and b) Suitable increment/special allowance. 13- Could the University have done anything to encourage you to stay? Yes. a) A formal interview. b) An assurance to examine grievance. c) Impartial and prompt examination followed by corrective action. 14- About the AUUP The contents of above sum up my views. I am quite optimistic that the Founder President Sir will take all steps necessary to correct the leadership and take Amity to great heights. 15- Suggestions, if any Leadership of Amity should be participated and by personal example rather than by force and humiliation.
