We purchased hearing aids, product VEA 362-DVI RIE for my mother from Amplifon in Oct 2015 through Suraksha hospital in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
Device name is 'VEA 362-DVI RIE' and we have taken for both the ears. The percentage of hearing loss was around 50% and the doctor and audiologist has suggested to go for hearing aids.
We have spent more than Rs 50, 000/- for the hearing aids. While taking the devices, we were told there will be more clarity with this model and is the reason of choosing this product. But after using the product for 8 to 9 months, it is only a night mare. Some of the problems faced by my mother are,
1. There is no clarity and she can hear only some sound.
2. She is not able to watch TV.
3. If a person is speaking from back or side, she is not able to hear
4. She is not able to hear over phone.
5. Adding to the above, the batteries are expensive and she has to change for every 3 to 4 days . This is against what the company had promised - which was fifteen days.
We had been to the concerned audiologist multiple times, but the device will be OK for one or two days and the above problems persists. When we requested to check whether it is a faulty device, even the request is not considered and they are simply dragging. Same with the batteries recommended for the devices. Whenever we complain of battery, she will give another brand and asks us to check that. When we tell feedback, she will tell she can't take it back as the packet is opened. Is Amplifon experimenting the brand with patients ?
Earlier, ie., before my mother started using the device, life was more comfortable, she was able to hear and speak over phone, she was able to hear when other person was speaking loudly. And she was knowing from which direction people are speaking.
Now, it is causing so much of internal disturbance to her which is resulting in depression, confusion and anger. If the medium of speaking is disturbed it causes so much of mental trauma. Please suggest as the local audiologist keep delaying to check on the faultiness of the device and we are not sure on how to approach amplifon. There is no response to the email sent to [protected]@amplifon.com, this mail ID is provided in their web site.
What we are looking - refund of amount paid.

Contact [protected]. Dated 13.02.2021. Will never recommend Amplifon services to anyone. Its worse than a street side unregistered retail shop.
Also shall put this up on all social media sites. Frustrating and pathetic. We came here for a solution to an existing problem not knowing it will increase to our problems.
