Address: AMRI mukundurpur

My father Prof. Anup Kumar Ray was admitted to AMRI Mukundopur in COVID HDU on January 10th night bed number 2313. He is a 78 year old heart patient and has very little movement left. At the time of discharge on January 18th evening, his backside and ankle had bedsores. His backside infact is raw with bedsore wounds. This is sheer negligence on the part of the nurses. The doctor wasn't informed about the bedsores. It was only at the time of discharge that the nurse informed the patient relative regarding the bedsore. Patient relative (my mother) complained immediately to the RMO on duty Dr. Deepayan and he was unaware of it. This is causing a lot of discomfort and agony to the patient (my father) and to my mother who is his caregiver. Very dissapointed and in a lot of pain and agony about this negligence in service.

I, Mr Ashutosh Chakraborty and my wife have taken two doses of Covishield on 2/3/2021 and 16/04/2021 respectively from AMRI MUKUNDAPUR.I have enclosed the soft copy of the documentary evidence. However, In the portal only 1dose is updated dated 16th April.I have tried to contact you many a times however I have got a reply that you have informed Swasthya Bhavan and the issue is accelerated. However, when Govt.has made mandatory two dose certificate for travel, could you please explain why should we suffer and be heckled?

X-Ray done on 22nd Nov'22. Report delivery date 23 Nov'21. Came AMRI Mukundapur on 24th Morning for report collection.
At first given the wrong report : somebody else Report. When pointed & the person in counter searched and told report not ready. Contacted department and found report not signed by Doctor.
Ultimately I got the report after 1 hour. I had Doctor's appointment outside AMRI. Hence after all this Hassel I missed the appointment.

Trust you will look into the matter and must not happen to others. FYI, we are also busy to earn our living.
Once again give importance to the complainants.

      Thanks.

In the name of Covid, hospital staffs (Security) are not allowing people to enter and having conversastion with doctor or concerned person properly although all people are fully vaccinated. If there is fear of covid breakout
from patient party then how could you ensure that your staffs will not cause any problem when thwy are also using public transport and roaming freely in hospital. Behaviour overall was not satisfactory. If someones near and dear one is admitted then at least two people should be allowed for the time being during OT.
Need to think about patient party mental situation at that time. My first experience is very pathetic and i hope it would be my last experience here as I would never recommend to anyone in such scenario for AMRI.

Illegal money demand for discharge and not proper treatment

          Address: Mukundapur

My patient was admitted in AMRI in emergency. He has to undergo immediate surgery. They ask to pay 2 lakh. I have opted package in which surgeon charge was included. Inspite of it the surgeon dr. Sisir das call me in chamber and also message me to pay 40000 extra to him. If I won't pay he stop treatment and don't give discharge to my husband. I pay 20000 cash and 20000 Google pay to him. Before paying I also reach out to hospital administration,...

I have visited AMRI Southern Avenue Medical Center to do LFT as requested by my Doctor on 28/10/2021.
The Cost Of LFT was approxtimately 1500 INR.
I was also wanted to do Master Health Check Up in the same visit under my corporate package.

The AMRI Support person informed me that since some of the tests that comes under LFT already covered by my corporate package, I better do the remaining tests only and pay for the same to avoid doing same tests twice and i agreed.
I informed that Corporate will cover the health check up package and LFT Test that has been requested by my doctor will be paid by myself.
She informed me that it would be done under different ID .
I just need to do ALP, Bilirubin, Globulin Tests and pay for the same.

However, After Test Completion, when i received the bill, I was charged INR 710 for ALP, INR 1190 for Bilirubin and INR 970 for Globulin.
When i asked that why am i being charged 2900 for 3 tests when the complete LFT package costs 1500 only, I was informed that that's how the bill has been done and AMRI doesn't have any way to correct or fix the Bill .
This doesn't make any sense to me and is not acceptable .

Need your attention to look into this matter and assist me with this Bill . If you need any documentation (Prescription, Copy of bill etc) from my end, let me know.

Due to incorrect way of Billing, i was charged for all the tests individually which is double of the entire LFT package cost.

            Hi Team,

My father Madan Gopal Basak is admitted to your hospital and bed no is 539. We have given personal attender however no medication is done since morning. We have called and asked several times to the desk about ball pump and use thurmobom gel before Dialysis. They have confirmed that Dialysis will start from 6 PM however it is started from 2 PM and Dialysis has started without required medication. May I know even after personal attender why this has happened. Please investigate this matter.

            Regards,
            Sowmik Basak

My sister was not well. She can barely breathe. We took her to one of the Hospitals in Bhubaneshwar name "Amri Hospitals". We went to search for Emergency entrance as the situation was not good at all. We finally found the entrance of Emergency ward and consulted a doctor available during that time. She was admitted immediately and they provided oxygen to her.

Then they shifted her in ICU for further examination. She was there for almost 3 days and they did all kind of tests. They used to take blood samples from her 3 times a day. They found that the liver is enlarged from its actual size. We asked them can we check what causes the same. They did ultrasound but nothing came.

On 2nd day of her admission we asked the assigned Doctor, what is causing this? They replied "We don't know" and said to discharge her as there is nothing left from his end to do. He is emphasizing on this strongly. We asked why they want to discharge her as she was still having issues.

Then they said to show her in Gastro department, Oncology department and psychology department. We asked what is the reason for that. They said it might be causing due to something else. They didn't even consulted their senior specialist doctor's and just convincing us to take her home. The doctor was unprofessional in his behavior.

On day of discharge one doctor from pulmonary department came at last hour to check her situation but said nothing. They charged us for the sanitizer they used in Hospitals. They also charged for the Nurse cap which they wear. They charge injections which they use to take sample etc.

Finally we decided to take her home as they were not able to diagnose the cause of her situation. We were quite annoyed by this after all the possible tests on her. They gave her all sort medicines which they think she needed.

They just want to charge as much money they want and do nothing. We wanted them to analyze the situation she was going through but looks like they just want their expenses.

My bitter experience. My patient was admitted complain of bradycardia after 5 days treatment it was date for angioplasty but after having information from Dr the kings guard were not allowed me inside. Very inhuman behaviour I was forced to call the Dr but after the intimation from Dr he got angry with me and forced to talk reception. Now the helpdesk lady call the floor the floor manager call the Dr then the kings guard with red eyes and the receptionist lady again quarrel with me by saying it is not time to visit. I again told them it not a visit but an angioplasty operation patient. Very disappointing and shameful behavior from gurads and receptionist. They even don't know how to talk.

My mother (patient ID: AM[protected] was admitted to ICU on 19.08.2021. She was later shifted to a 5 bed room (bed. no. 789). On 22.08.21 we were told that she was supposed to be shifted to a female ward with 11-12 patients to which we objected. When I wanted to discuss the matter with the floor manager (Sharmila Dutta; time: 17:30 hr) then available, she misbehaved in an extreme manner with raised voice and was almost charging me. Not only did people gather, but it created a huge scene. Next day (23.08.21), because my mother had reported the incident to one of the management members, Ms. Dutta came to us and charged us regarding the complaint. She not only extremely misbehaved with me in the corridor (7th floor; time 17:30 hr), but also with my mother who was very much unwell.
She told us that we had to vacate because of fumigation. But we were amazed to see that on 23rd, male patients were admitted/ shifted to that room, though my mother had still not been discharged.

We are extremely disappointed and saddened by the incident as this is definitely not the way to deal with distressed patients and their family. AMRI is a big chain with highly esteemed reputation. As a patient party we directly deal with the staff there and the 1st impression is created by the way they deal with us. I sincerely hope strict action will be taken and it wont happen with other patients or their family.

I also want to point out the extreme good behaviour and efficiency of Mr. Suman Ghosh, who was at the admission desk (23.08.21, 17:30 hr onwards) and helped us with the discharge paperwork.
In future if we ever need to admit anyone to your hospital, it would be because of the good doctors and nursing staff (though they are over stressed).

                            Hi,

My mother had an operation 2 years ago on August at AMRI BBSR where her uterus was removed because of Fibroids by Gynaecologist Dr Harpreet Kaur.
The biopsy report had cancer grade 1 due to which under the consultation of Dr Harpreet Kaur and Dr Sunil Jaiswal, my mother had another operation on October for proper staging where her lymphnodes and ovaries were removed.

However, after the second operation she is behaving quite weirdly, she is not able to understand or concentrate on things neither does she talk to anyone.

Please take into consideration as her mental health got affected due to it.
We have been going to several psychiatrists and neurologists but nothing has worked. She is still the same.
I am afraid she has lost her sanity after the operation.

Please take strict action against the doctors mentioned of AMRI BBSR hospitals and please suggest what can be done to cure my mother who has to suffer a lot and the family as well.

                            Regards,
                            Priyashree Nanda

This is to inform you that your Front desk employee Mr. Suman Das working in 11:30 am shift misbehaved with rude attitude on 15.07.21 when enquired regarding vaccine 2 days back he said to come at 9:00 am and today when asked he said he never told at 9:00 am instead said that I am lying. Is this the way to behave in front desk with your customers. I am very sorry to say but most of your employees are not well trained how to treat their customers rather they have an attitude that by giving information they are doing a favour to us but let me tell you this is their job and they are paid to do this and not to be rude and show attitude to customers. Hence I will request your management to take strict and proper action on this matter because this type of behavior is unacceptable.

I am a patient of Dr. Divyendu Kumar Roy at AMRI Nursing Home Salt Lake. The name of the patient is Basabi Majumdar. Age 64. Patient Id: AM20260691
I went to see Dr. Roy today. He asked to speak to Finance for OT. Finance asked me to talk to the doctor again. But after standing for an hour, I was not allowed to talk to the doctor for two minutes. I got the final mismanagement and abuse of the staff. Should this be used with a serious patient? Think about it...

                                      Hi,

Today I have taken my brother to AMRI, Salt Lake. They suggested to admit him but due to monetary issue we couldn't do that. Due to this the staffs at reception of emergency ward behaved so rudely. Even they insulted my father who is 65yrs old, attacked personally saying they doubt whether he even worked anywhere in his lifetime or not though my father is an ex navy personel and also worked with LIC as an admin officer.
How this kind of things can even be tolerated where people are spending their hard money just to have a good treatment? If anyone can rectify this thing kindly help and take some actions against such unprofessional staffs.
